Is the alteration I made any better?

The power/weight system is off - You take the "power" the FRAME generates (140 for the Handou) and subtract the FRAME's own "weight" to represent the machine's many internal systems (85), then you subtract the equipment and external stuff. So 140 - 85 = 55 free weight. You can fit 55 "weight" worth of equipment on the Handou. The rest goes into your 'storage.'

Also, I'd still like to know - what sort of testing was she involved in? Cybernetics isn't as advanced as to allow for cyberbrains or 'net diving' like Ghost in the Shell; although implants and prosthetics here and there exist. How did she find the Panthers? etc.

It's break time! Sorry for cutting the combat short, if you still planned to partake. I thought I'd move us along, since we might be taking on new players and out of concern the op might drag on longer than necessary.
We're now in the fabulous city of Hamarr, equal parts steel and neon. I'll add some new gear y'all can go wild on very soon. All the purchasing is done here in the OOC, for convenience. We can assume in-between IC posts, your characters are exploring like kids in candy stores. I've got another FRAME scenario ready to go after our little intermission and some R&R!

Feel free to make up some NPC interaction; give some names and personality to the Samigina's crew. You'll be working with the mechanics quite a bit, after all. We can assume they're tinkering with your machines while you're out, too (if you choose to go out).

I invite you all to take a look at the equipment list! You have a new FRAME available, a couple new categories of weapons and new armaments in existing categories. There is also a new trio of additional systems to install.

For the completion of the last mission, you each will receive 400,000c to do what you will with. You also have the option of selling anything you possess. Please make a note of transactions here in the OOC and in your sheets.
I'll look at the wares and posting at IC tomorrow, I shouldn't really half-ass it. (still waiting for them striders, have to stock up on heavy weaponry.)
On side note, are we to buy our own ammunition, is it provided by panthers or is it for all intents and purposes "infinite" as long as we "respect" it?

Ammunition can be handwaved. The Samigina has plenty of stock to replace rounds here and there, and we can assume the weapons themselves are bought with it. I was thinking of having more decisive, tech-heavy weapons, like missiles, needing to be bought, but it would be easier on everyone not to worry about replenishing them. You can always re-purchase weapons that are destroyed, lost, used up IC if you really want to, but I honestly won't be scrutinizing sheets if you don't.
@FosterWindicator's right; you'll have to select from the list that is available on the first page of the OOC. Seeing as I'm in the process of adding new gear to represent the goods Hamarr's got to offer, you might consider holding off your FRAME sheet until the lists are updated.

Otherwise, I'm happy to have Marlene tag along! Will she be a new addition or a Panther returning from leave?

Although some of the greener pilots had strained under the sudden, fast-paced nature of the engagement, the Panthers as a whole had performed well. Nine of the twelve Dreqs were either scrapped or out of action, and the remaining three now found themselves trapped with Cecilia, Elaine and Maia at their front, and the rest of the Panthers emerging from the trees to their rear. They hesitated, both stunned at the quick destruction of their unit and their inability to keep their shipment safe. Cecilia switched on her FRAME's loudspeaker function, hailing the trio of OSU pilots.

"Shut off your FRAMEs and step out of the cockpits," her voice blared. "You're surrounded and outnumbered three-to-one." Cecilia kept her autocannon trained on the Dreqs, ready to fill them with tungsten if the pilots made a last display of defiance.

Slowly, the hatches on the Dreqs hissed open and the OSU pilots emerged, defeated and downtrodden. Cecilia pointed to the treeline, corralling them to the side of the road. She did the same to the drivers of the trucks, who reluctantly parted with their cargo at the end of the 25 mm barrel.

"Good work," Cecilia radioed to the Panthers. While it didn't sound like a genuine praise, it wasn't mocking, either. "Secure the area. We'll get this cargo loaded on the Samigina and see what we can do with these Dreqs. Don't relax too much, in case the OSU are on the scene."

-----

In less than an hour's time, the trucks had been hauled into the Samigina's vehicle bay, along with the Dreqs that were complete enough to warrant taking. As for the OSU personnel, they were left tied up on the side of the road. It wasn't any concern of the Panthers what became of them now. They didn't take hostages or kill prisoners; they weren't terrorists. Those that had died today did so because they were immediate threats. Somebody would find the survivors, and the OSU would clean up the mess, for better or worse.

The Panthers were gathered in the hangar. No sooner did they emerge from their FRAMEs than they were met by Richard Bentz, wearing the same PR-friendly smile that he sent them off with.

"Splendid work out there, Panthers," he chimed. "I've notified Cradle of your success. We'll be meeting a representative in Hamarr to pick up the cargo you recovered during the operation. As for the evaluatees-"

"Director," Cecilia interrupted. "I'll have a report of their performance for you within the day. While they show capability, I-"

Richard waved his hand and cast his head to the side with a dramatic flair. "Ugh! I think we can dispense with the formality this time, Cecilia," he said. "I've already decided to bring them in. As of now, you're officially Panthers."

"But Richard!" Cecilia whined.

"I was watching the operation from my office," he explained with a glint in his eye. "While there are a few edges to be ironed out, I think you're quite capable of keeping them in good form, Cecilia. And I'm impressed with how you handled those OSU pilots." Bentz turned to address the whole crowd again and explained, "Cradle sent us payment in advance of our arrival. I've transferred your shares to your accounts. Welcome to the fold."

City of Hamarr, SL

The Samigina rumbled as its powerful grav-engines guided it to the ground. The Panthers had just arrived at the city of Hamarr. It was a true urban jungle, sprawling concrete towers stabbed the clouds, bedecked with panels of glass and neon. The landcruiser was nestled into a docking bay, crawling with engineers and maintenance personnel. Not far from here was the headquarters of Cradle Dynamics, where the Panthers would deliver the stolen OSU goods, and likely pick up another job.

Richard's people would handle the delivery. He'd given the pilots a day of leave to kick back and spend their earnings. Hamarr had a bit of everything; truly a cosmopolitan city, both culturally and recreationally. There was also no shortage of places to buy parts from. Cradle's HQ brought in a healthy stream of business, and many eagerly sought to take advantage of incoming traffic and guide it to their wares.

Cecilia stood on the dock outside the landcruiser. Everyone who wanted to go into Hamarr was told to meet her in fifteen. Although she normally held the whip, she had little intention of becoming a chaperone. She was out to enjoy the city as much as anyone else. Her combat fatigues had been replaced with a simple, yet trendy ensemble of a cloudy dress with long sleeves that ended a respectable distance above the knee. Over this, she wore a leather jacket with the unit emblem painted on the back; a panther stalking across a field of stars.
@DarkStarThe problem with this scenario is the Dreq pilots we're scrapping with are members of the OSU military; professional soldiers. Very few of them, in their right mind, would deliberately surrender themselves to a mercenary company; especially one under contract from a corporation based in the nation they're in conflict with. For all they know, we'd be just as likely to kill them outright than to haul them off to the SL. And since they're military personnel, they can't up and leave the service and sign on with a company; it doesn't work that way. I guess if they tried, the OSU would just track their FRAMEs down and then we'd have the military breathing down our necks.

If you still want to go with an OSU angle, you could be a former soldier or employee who left before the start of the RP to join the Panthers - either a late-arrival trainee or a standing Panther member coming back from some personal leave.
@DarkStar
Sorry, this is a no-go as is; Dreqs haven't been made available to us (...yet...). See the first post of the OOC for FRAMEs, equipment, etc. that you can purchase at the start. Each player gets 600,000c to buy from this list. Your options will expand over the course of the RP, as I add more things to it so you can splurge your hard-earned money and feel good about yourselves.
Do you understand how the weight/power system works?

I'd recommend (re-)reading all the hiders of the first OOC post and skimming over questions others have asked to get a better idea of how the systems work.

Can I ask for some clarification on Sarah's backstory? What does her father do/did and where did he work? It's totally cool to come up with new corporations for the setting, so long as they can fit. What sort of 'testing' did he do? & how did Sarah join the Panthers?

What about aluminum alloys?
A lighter, maybe not quite as strong as steel metal that's more expensive, but you can bulk up a bit more with it to be more maneuverable and even more protected than before?
Probably gonna be over three times as expensive tho XD

It really depends on what FRAME you've got; the "durasteel" our Zarugas and Handous have is a steel laminate armor, with aluminum plates sandwiched in-between. FRAMEs will have different compositions based on manufacturer and role.

True
Will we be able to, later, add more armor plating? reactive armor?

Yup! The OSU loves its reactive armor, actually.
