Not my own words, but: "Enjoy memes and have a good time online, but develop a solid sense of self-worth that is rooted in a reality that doesn't disappear when the battery charge is empty."

They don't have to be mortars; they can be Stryker ICV-like vehicles lobbing grenades with targeting data transmitted by their FRAME allies.
Or even light mortars affixed to some of the second team's FRAMEs, which we still haven't seen.
But in terms of duties, I'd say that (about my two divisions at least):

- The Platinum Knights: Work as a secret police on the molds of KGB and Gestapo, though, considering this, they have a considerable military force based on groups like Spetsnaz and the SS. However, there's a big difference between them and the others in that they are blind loyal to the Imperator, not the Imperium, not the people, but only to her.

Exactly why I'm baffled by Tori's outburst when she'd probably know that Cecilia could have her Gestapo-equivalent at her door with a word.
I'm just saying, when I read her start to rail on Cecilia, it broke all my immersion in that moment.
Playing Syndicate and Satellite Reign has got me doubly excited for this.
I'm GMing a mecha RP as it is, but you can never have too many mechs in your life. Write me up as interested!
@DarkStar
No need for that kind of talk!
Your last post was fine; it had both Sarah and Cecilia crossing the open street while under fire, which goes in line with my last post. I'm a bit lost on why her comms are screwing up and why she has a severely short operating time - not counting the fire she's under - but the kinks can be ironed out.
It's actually nice to see us take some hits, considering our enemies are supposed to be top-notch.

I will have a post up later on, when I've got a moment to sit down, that'll hopefully bring the engagement's conclusion nearer.
Thing is, I had no intention of there being any mortars, until OppositionJ wrote them into Ryder's post!
But I guess we can roll with it and have them be mobile platforms mounted on the APCs that the infantry squad used for transport - they'd be north, off the map, parked in front of the HQ.

Cecilia and Sarah would be grouped up, going by my last post, and are at the far end of Highview/Mulberry, having made contact with a FRAME to the west, further down Mullberry.
@Lucius Cypher
Fair enough, although the realism of the matter still gives me reason to question it. Especially regarding their respective standings in their divisions, being so impudent to the XO of Observation would never truly fly, just as you wouldn't walk up to director of a gov't agency and spit in their face, expecting no repercussion IRL.

I'd like some clarification on the Intelligence Divsion's duties - while the name implies they'd be concerned with similar tasks as Observation (surveillance, security, counter-terrorism, etc.) the OOC just regulates them to librarians and history-keepers:

This Division keeps all of the world's history and records at hand and secured, making them true librarians and scribes. Categorizing all of mankind's past, present, and possible future, they are the historians and predictors of the Imperium.

Nothing suggests that they actually perform security duties, other than speculation from the name. Can @TheWindel clarify for me?
@McFazzer
About the Observation Division...

Those in this division have the sole task of personally safe guarding The Superior's life as well as directing the activities of the other three Divisions.

So if Tori really wants to be an A-class bitch and insult an obvious superior and compromise her standing, by all means. The Observation Division will see to it that she is stripped of her rank and privilege, and quite possibly jailed for insubordination.
Furthermore, Yggdrasil gave the stone to us to carry so that it would be impossible for the rebels to take, unless they knew specifically we had it (which they don't, to my knowledge). The blast already happened, and a good distance away, farther than to compromise Cecilia's safety. Not to mention, as a bigwig of her division, she still has duties on the ground to oversee.

Let's be real; someone who works in a national library isn't going to talk down to the second-in command of what amounts to Homeland Security. Doubly so, with Cecilia's reputation.
@Dark Light
Looks okay; just a reminder that spellchecking and proper grammar are to be expected in this section of the Guild. Did you have a plan on how to introduce her into the IC, what with all that's been happening so far?

Appearance coming.

Welcome! Before accepting your character, could I ask for more paragraphs of history/disposition? Its clear what sort of person she is, but I'd like a bit more embellishment; what in particular turned her off so much from her former life and exactly did she do to warrant her disowning? A bit about how she discovered the Panthers would also help.
Just trying to keep ourselves to an advanced standard.
