"Dad slow the hell down! I don't think Red Lake is going anywhere! Avalon Jones shouted from the passenger seat of her dad's pickup truck as they raced towards the small town of Red Lake. Her feet, clad in black converse, were up on the dashboard, and she was staring daggers at her father from behind his aviators that she had commandeered a few miles back. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You're right, I'm just excited. This is gonna be a good place, Av. I can feel it." he said, smiling at her warmly. She smiled back. He said that about every place they moved to, but she would humor him. She turned her head back to the road, as they finally crossed the town line, and drove right up to a quaint little bed and breakfast.

"Wonder who Riley is?" she said aloud as she hopped out of the truck and grabbed her ratty black duffel bag. Her dad had the rest of their bags, which wasn't much. Constantly moving had left them with very few possessions. "I promise, we're only staying here until we close on a house, then we'll be out of here." She replied with a simple "Okie dokie" and followed him inside, admiring the quaint small town charm that she'd seen in so many other towns.

While her dad got their room sorted out, she wandered around, poking her head into all the nooks and crannies of the home. All she could think of was how great a spot this would be to paint. She sat down by a window and looked out onto the town. She saw a sign that read "Jake's Cafe" and her stomach made a rather unflattering noise, signaling that she was hungry, something that she would have to wait for her dad for. She groaned but her annoyance was quickly relieved when her father moved up behind her. "Hey kiddo, I've got to work out all the room stuff with the owner, but feel free to go get some food. Here's my card and everything. I'll be a while." She grinned big, showing off her pearly whites and gave him a hug before skipping off and towards the cafe.

She kept skipping, all the way down the street and towards the cafe, drawing some stares from passerby that she shrugged off. When she finally reached the so called "Jake's Cafe" she shoved the door open, and walked in. It was like a scene out of an action movie to be quite honest, sunlight filtering in behind her as she lifted her aviators off of her head, and folded them, while she waited to be sat. She saw one woman talking with a cute boy. She shot the boy a smile and a wave and scanned the rest of the cafe. She saw a group of girls talking together. So this is Red Lake. Huh.

Charlie shook his head at Sophie's quips but kept quiet. After she left he moved behind the twins, clapping a hand on both of their shoulders. "You know what? I think that was progress. I could feel the flirtatious undertones" he said with a grin before getting back to cleaning the dishes. He turned his head as the bell over the door rang, signaling for him to move up front to help a customer. It was the cop, well one of the many cops in Red Lake. This so happened to be the one who liked to take his dog everywhere, which was understandable. Dogs were fun. “Can I get a coffee? Don’t worry about makin’ a fresh pot, whatever you got already made’ll work fine.” the guy asked. "Yeah sure, I'll have it out in a sec. You can seat yourself. Looks like Whitefang over there already has," he said with a smirk before jetting back into the kitchen.

Back in the kitchen, Charlie grabbed a clean, white mug, the standard kind that can be found in diners all across America, and filled it to the brim with the last of the coffee from the aging coffee pot. He brought it out and set it down on the officer's table before whipping out a notepad and pen. "So what will it be officer?" Charlie asked with a mock salute. He'd met the guy before, down at the police station. Charlie had been brought in once for underage drinking and some minor vandalism. The cops generally turned a blind eye to the parties that the teens through around Red Lake, but when one of them spray paints a genital onto the mayors house, well, it's hard to ignore.
Should have a Charlie post up sometime tonight

Charlie smirked at Sophie's question as he placed a stack of newly cleaned plates into the cupboard next to her. Without looking over at her, he responded. "Don't tell me your jealous all of a sudden there Hot Stuff. I promise we can still hook up if you want," he said, winking and running out to the front so that he could seat a guest.

Charlie's feelings for Sophie were mixed to put it kindly. He had a thing for her, that much was clear. He'd spent way too many nights texting Billy or Kimberly asking for advice that he never really followed through with. He liked to mess with her, piss her off. But below all that, maybe too low for Charlie to even realize it existed, was a part that wanted a bit more than a quick fling.

When he returned he picked up where he had left off. "And if you really must know it was Liz Benson. And to be quite honest, she was very, meh. But also I don't think I will be revisiting her, because it seems that I called her Harriett last night while I was drunk which is strange because I don't know a Harr- OH FUCK! Just kidding. I do know a Harriett. She was number 13. But if you'd like Meryl Streep, you can be number...well I've lost track but you get the gist." With a grin Charlie raced off to take orders.

Charlie was awoken by a pair of hands pushing his naked body out of bed. Believe it or not this was actually rather common. He groaned, surprised by the rude awakening but was quickly quieted by a girl placing her hand over his mouth. "Shut up! You need to get out of here before my dad comes in and finds you. You can climb out the window." the girl hissed. He rubbed his eyes, and grabbed his boxers quickly dressing himself. Once he was fully clothed, he opened the bedroom window and began climbing out, onto the roof. "Last night was fun Liz. We should do it again." The girl, glared hard at him. "Charlie Elwood, do you even remember what happened last night?" He slowly shook his head, slightly worried about what was to come. "You called me Harriett. We were lying down and you fucking call me Harriett! Who the fuck is Harriett?! Why don't you get out of here, and don't come back until you can properly remember a name! Liz screamed, causing Charlie to quickly make his way down to the street.

His car was parked a few houses down, awaiting his arival. He climbed in, and started the car, mentally crossing off Liz Benson from the list of girls he could call on a Friday night. He ran a hand through his hair and began the short drive to his own house. Once he'd arrived at his home on Westlake Drive, he began his quiet walk in. If the gods were good, his mother was still sleeping, and he wouldn't face an early morning interrogation. "Charlie Elwood, Red Lake's Most Promiscuous Bachelor returns home to see his mother. You know I've been worried sick all morning." The gods were not good. Charlie sighed and walked into the kitchen where his mother awaited, sitting at the kitchen counter. She shot him a smile, and took a sip out of her 'World's Best Principal' mug.

Charlie smirked and grabbed a bagel from the breadbox, taking a bite out of it without even spreading cream cheese onto it. "You know Mom, I think it's very damaging to call me a manwhore. I might need therapy." "Oh, you do need therapy. And I think I'm allowed to call you a manwhore, when I have to walk around school and hear every girl whispering your name. You know no body takes me seriously at school because of you?" "Mom, nobody takes you seriously because of the time you tried to, in your own words, 'get hip with the kids'." Charlie said with a grin. His mom shook her head and he made his way up to his room. He still had some packing to do before he went to work.

By 12:30, he'd finished with his packing and was walking into the cafe, behind the twins. They stopped to talk to Sophie, and he stopped for a moment as well, greeting them all with a grin. "Hey, Gage, Aron. Sophie," he said, punctuating Sophie's name with a wink. He clocked in and got to work, mind preoccupied with thoughts of the lake trip.
