Bio
Resident Photographer, Roleplayer, Nurse
A Bit About Me:First off, to introduce myself. My name is Chris. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read a little blurb about my life. I am a 25 year old guy living in the beautiful, arctic tundra known as Canada. My interests touch on too many things to completely list, but predominantly I am an avid photographer, a role-player (duh) and a gamer. While I started life here on the guild back in early 2018, I am no stranger to role-playing. I started out role-playing in various video games before I got serious and jumped head first into both forum role-play and 1x1s in Skype/Google Docs.
My main preferred settings for role-playing are, but not limited to: Slice of Life, Fantasy, Military, Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Apocalypse. I personally don't do fan-fictions, I only write for my OCs. Below, you'll find a link to my character stash for the Guild.
Dominique stands about 1.55 metres tall and weighs in at around 120 pounds. She has long ginger hair that reaches down to her shoulder blades and pale blue eyes that seem to match the ocean. Her body is toned and lean from many years in competitive swimming and training in mixed martial arts. Visible down most of her right arm is a rather abstract tattoo, obtained in a shady parlour without the permission of her parents.
Personal Information
Personality:
Dominique is a rather rebellious individual. She doesn’t like adhering to rules and regulations, nor does she enjoy being ordered around by others. Almost a nightmare for her parents to deal with. Not overtly mean however, she is a rather kind individual to those close with her. Her heart, while not worn on her sleeve, is large and welcoming. She will warm up to most people rather quickly and is loyal to a fault.
Energetic and forward-thinking, quick-witted and a bit of a smart ass. She’s been known to start fights in her own defense and the defense of others and tries to vouch for the underdogs. Under pressure she can be a bit hot-headed and her temper is legendary, but underneath all of that reveals a level headed spitfire that wants to help her team.
Biography:
Dominique grew up oblivious of her parents true images. For the first ten years of her life she was pushed through so many different extra-curricular activities that she didn’t really have time to do anything besides school and train. At first it was mixed martial arts, which her parents claimed was to improve her self confidence and to defend herself at school. Then, it was swimming lessons, lifeguarding and competitive swimming. By the time she was twelve, she was fed up with the constant lessons and meetings. Through the following years, Dominique started to run off into the city at night, often meeting her friends that she rarely had had time to see apart from at school.
It was only when she was fourteen, a year before her enrollment at S.P.I.G.A, that she learned the true nature of her life. Her parents, both agents for the DGSE (Directorate Générale de la Sécurité Externale), had recommended her for the youth program without her knowledge. When the letter arrived with the S.P.I.G.A branding, she was confused as to why she of all people had received the letter. That’s when it clicked in her mind. The constant lack of at least one of her parents on any given day, the harsh physical training, the numerous languages she’d learned. It all made sense to her now.
Her parents were conveniently both home the day Dominique had received the letter and explained to her the circumstances of the recommendation. Her rebelliousness was to only be expected for her age, but they had also seen her potential.
She was off to the airport in the following months for her flight to the Wardshire Castle, her new home for the years to come.
Spy Information
Talents:
Excellent Athlete: With cardio like a horse and the muscle to show, Dominique is in peak physical form for her age thanks to her extensive time training for her competitive swim team and martial arts tournaments. She has great endurance and while her pure strength may fall a bit shorter compared to someone who solely strength trained, she is lean and agile and her strikes hit like missiles.
Master of Blades: Alright, she isn’t quite a master, but Dominique knows her way around knives. She’s learned how to both use one in MMA and disarm an opponent with one, and through specialty training on the side, knows how to throw one quite accurately as well.
Medical Knowledge: Dominique isn’t a surgeon by any means, but she knows enough to potentially save a life if the situation calls. Through her lifeguard training she was introduced to advanced first aid both in the water and out, and has maintained a higher than average level of first-aid knowledge.
Gadgetry:
Beretta M9A1 Pistol: While not one for firearms, Dominique recognized the need for a sidearm while in the field and has chosen to arm herself with the trusty 9mm and is trained to use it effectively.
Modified Arm Bracers: To compliment her skill in hand to hand combat, Dominique designed a system that integrates into a set of archery forearm braces. They are capable of delivering up to 50,000 volts through contacts on the palms and blocking most melee weapons with lightweight titanium plates running along the top. They also integrate two slender blades on the insides of the forearms to be easily accessed in an emergency.
Knives, knives and more knives: Some may call it an obsession, but to her its a necessity. Dominique carries anywhere from two to six blades on her person at any given time. Two of them are integrated into the soles of her boots and two mounted to sheaths that attach to her vest just below the ribcage. The remaining two are the aforementioned wrist mounted panic knives. All of her knives are balanced to enable accurate throwing.
Contact Lens Camera: Mounted to her dominant eye, the camera is almost invisible at a glance and even upon close inspection, one would be hard pressed to see it. High resolution 24MP photographs sent directly to her phone and laptop in the literal blink of an eye.
Other Items:
Laptop, mainly for leisure during off times or taking notes in class.
Picture of her mother and father, tucked in her wallet.
Wireless headphones, almost invisible when inserted for stealthy music.

Backstory
Born and raised in Palm Beach, but frequently traveled to see family in Italy. Spent about equal time in Italy and Palm Beach until she was old enough for high school. She speaks both English and Italian fluently.
Moved permanently back to Palm Beach when she was accepted into King's Academy, living in the Di Francesco mansion.
Got introduced to the family "business" while in school and would frequently either be absent from class, or would be pulled out of school mid-day for no apparent reason.
She represented King's Academy in mixed martial arts and wrestling. She also played on the school's soccer team, much to the delight of her father.
Graduated with an average GPA, mostly due to her absences dragging down her grades from missed tests and assignments.
Accepted into Florida State University's law program. Met her now ex-husband Stefan and got married two years into their relationship. Proceeded to earn her law degree and graduated from the program with honors.
Applied and was accepted to join the US Customs and Border Protection Service. She has been serving with them for just over five years now.
Divorced her husband two years into her service with Customs after she caught him cheating with one of her sisters. Her ex-husband was reported missing a few months later and the investigation is ongoing.
Extras
The Di Francesco family is a smaller crime family based in Miami, FL. Currently responsible for a large portion of cocaine importation, and frequent money launderer for smaller organized crime groups. They are known for being merciless in their dealings and while the name isn't as known as some, it still carries weight in the criminal world of Florida State.
Bruna keeps relatively distanced from her family's dealings, but frequently turns a blind eye to their imports for obvious reasons. The occasional seizure is deemed necessary to keep suspicions down on her own career.
“Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day whispering ‘I will try again tomorrow’.”

Details:
In Depth Appearance:
Sophia has a rather small frame for such a powerhouse. Standing at only five foot, four inches tall and weighing in at a measly one-hundred forty pounds, she is very lean and toned. Her arms rival those of most high school guys from years of training in mixed martial arts. Her figure is slender with few curves, but with just enough of them to differentiate her from a smaller guy. Locks of long, dark brown-red hair border her face on the rare occasion her hair isn’t pinned up in some fashion and match her equally-dark brown eyes.
On any given day, Sophia may have semi-visible bruised on her forearms from sparring at the local gym. Apart from that, she is free of any easily visible scars. Most prominently however, Sophia has a sleeve tattoo covering the majority of her right arm that she shows off proudly. She normally dresses in whatever is comfortable, usually a pair of jeans, a tank top and her black leather jacket. The occasional time when she’s dressed up, she usually sticks to darker colors to match her hair and eyes.

Hard rock, indie rock and most other rock music. She likes it loud.
Straight black coffee.

Personality Traits:

Fussy
Personality:
Upon meeting Sophia, most would walk away with a good impression at first. While not outwardly kind or humble, she is respectful of others and will generally act nice to people until given a reason not to. Underneath however, Sophia is quite defensive and easy to provoke. A legendary temper to boot, she doesn’t do well with authority figures or being bossed around, so being in the sorority was a challenge at first. Learning to live under a leader of sorts pushed Sophia to her limit, but ultimately she dealt with it. Those who know her know she hates being insulted and has reacted quite loudly in the past. She’s also known to be a touch manipulative and an occasional compulsive liar.
But, her friends also know that under all of that, there is a loyal and genuinely decent human being. If only you can look past her downsides, Sophia will protect her friends with unwavering loyalty and bravery that could almost be seen as arrogance. She keeps an eye on her fellow sisters like a hawk and will openly confront anyone that messes with them. Driven and determined, Sophia will never back down from a conflict and will remain true to those close to her.
Hometown:
Grew up in Toronto, Canada. Moved to Mississippi after high school.
History:
Sophia was born to an odd couple in Toronto. Her mother, Samantha McLaughlin was a private business owner and had nestled herself in the solar power market out in the more rural areas of the country. Her father? Well, he was almost the exact opposite. James White had spent ten years in prison for assault and armed robbery before he met Samantha, and then he was re-imprisoned for life after Sophia's birth for the murder of her mother.
After the trial and sentencing, it was decided that because Sophia had no relatives that were willing to take her in-- her mother never had a good relationship with her family-- Sophia was put into an orphanage in Toronto. There, she was raised and went to school like most older children. Her background at the orphanage meant she was constantly bullied at school and was a frequent flier to the principal's office, usually because she picked a fight. Sophia was eventually expelled from the school after putting a kid in the hospital and soon after disappeared from the orphanage, travelling down towards the south in search of a new home.
Sophia reached a small town before the border and checked in at a local homeless shelter. The police were called because she was underage and they were about to send her back to Toronto when a young couple came forward, offering to adopt her. After moving in with them, Sophia went back and finished her primary and secondary schooling, gradually pulling up her marks from the hole she had dug them into. She graduated highschool with a moderate 70% average and was surprised to learn that not only had she been accepted to university, she had been accepted into Pennbrooke nonetheless. Inspired by her past, Sophia began studying for her master’s in Criminology in hopes to appease her late birth mother. Maybe she could turn her life around here.

Appearance
Standing at a measly 5’4” and weighing it at just over 110lbs, Olivia is a rather small girl. With a lean, sporty build tailored from her love of skateboarding and mountain biking, she is rather athletic and has a fair amount of muscle definition in her legs. Her long brown hair is often seen with a single streak of vibrant dye, normally blue or purple, and is usually kept down. Not being one for looking like a barbie, she keeps her face looking mostly natural with conservative usage of makeup. Her only notable features are the few tattoos she has (acquired from sources not requiring parental permission of course), one of which runs the length of her right calf, the other on her left shoulder blade. The former was acquired on her sixteenth birthday as a present to herself, the latter was acquired much more recently as a message to her parents’ constant attempts to get her into medicine.
Olivia normally dresses for comfort. Her usual attire is a pair of beat up jeans or capris length yoga pants with a loose, off-shoulder top or tank-top. On a colder day, she’ll usually be seen wearing a flannel shirt overtop of her normal clothing as well as a loose beanie. Olivia will also normally wear her faded red Converse shoes on a warmer day, or her leather riding boots on a colder one.
Personality
Despite her very comfortable upbringing, Olivia is a rather troubled individual. With her parents, she’s contradictory and rebellious, unwilling to bend to their wishes for her. While her parents want her to get into medicine much like themselves, Olivia hates the idea and she aims to show that dislike to them in any way possible. Much like her brother Elliot, she is quite the spitfire when she’s in a bad mood.
However, that’s not to say she’s not a decent person. When she’s not showing her dislike of her parents’ view, she’s actually quite a kind and caring person. While slow to trust a new face, when she does warm up to someone she is loyal to a fault and will try to be there for her friends. The little rebellious streak in her brain is balanced by a good heart and a decently guided moral compass.
Olivia is also not one to follow many rules and has made frequent visits to the principal’s office at her school. Almost the polar opposite of her parents -- and probably because her parents were such saints -- Olivia loves to bend the rules and seek the not-so-legal thrills in life. An adrenaline junky to the core and little fear in her heart, she lives on the wilder side of life. In her mind, a boring life is not a life to be had.
Upbringing
Born on a bright and sunny day in Salem, Olivia was the fifth and final (hopefully) child of the Horton family. Being the youngest wasn’t so hard, all she had to do was blame her older siblings and trouble would never come her way. It was here that Olivia’s rebellious streak first started. Throughout her entire primary school career, she learned that the most fun was had when rules were broken. Fences were climbed, paper airplanes were thrown and music was listened to in class. She should’ve had a frequent flier’s card for the principal’s office.
About halfway through primary school, Olivia’s parents sat her down one night and had a little chat with her. They explained that if she was trying to get their attention, all she had to do was say something. The doctor and his wife explained that school was important and it affected her entire life. If she messed up now, her life would be harder down the road. But of course, being the eleven year old that Olivia was, all of this advice from her parents went in one ear and right out of the other.
And then high school came. Her entire world changed as an entirely new environment surrounded her with an entirely new group of people. Of course she still had her old friends from public school, but this was different. Olivia started hanging out with guys more often, learned to skateboard and found a new interest in guitar, partially from her brother. Her grade nine year was short, fun and loaded with excitement. Grade ten was much of the same. More boys, more skateboarding and definitely more guitar. She was as happy as could be, even if her parents were rather disapproving of the whole teenage rebel phase that Olivia was going through.
Hopefully it was just a phase.

Bachelor’s Degree of Science, Nursing (BScN). Graduated at twenty-two, currently doing her Master’s Degree in the same area (MScN), though only part-time rather than full-time.
Occupation
Jessica is an ER nurse at Salem University Hospital and a part time student at the University of Salem.
"My family is my lifeblood. They may piss me off, drive me up the wall and frustrate me beyond end. But when they need me the most, I will be their guardian angel." — Jessica Horton
Appearance
Jessica has a rather average build with a slight athletic tone to it, retaining slight curves in the right areas. The young woman stands 5’7” and weighs about 150lbs, remaining on the lighter side of an average woman’s weight. Jessica keeps her long, brown hair neat, tidy and tucked away the vast majority of the time, usually in either a loose ponytail or a tight bun (the former for casual, day to day wear, the latter for when she’s at work). Her soft brown eyes are warm and welcoming, giving off a certain feeling of comfort to those around her.
Jess has a wardrobe that could only be described as a more formal cousin of casual. She dresses for comfort most of the time, but that doesn’t mean compromising on her looks. Given that she’s normally on-call for the emergency room, most of what she wears doesn’t take long to put on, so she mostly limits herself to a clean, undamaged pair of jeans or capris; a tank top, business shirt or blouse; and a pair of comfy flats or sneakers, never heals. Occasionally, one can spot Jessica sporting a light summer dress if she felt particularly adventurous that day.
Personality
Though she isn’t one (and doesn’t plan on it, at least not for a while), Jessica is much like a mother. Although this may have come from her career at the hospital and how she watches over her patients like a hawk, it also manages to describe her general outlook on society and its members. Any time she sees someone being taken advantage of, whether it be in the bar or out on the streets, she is quick to intervene. Over the few short years she’s spent working as an ER nurse in Salem, she’s been selfless to a fault and prioritizes her patient’s well being over anything, sometimes even family. In her mind, the moment she walks in that door, she’s no longer Jessica Horton, she’s a nurse. Nothing else matters until her shift is over.
However, not everything is sunshine and lollipops in her world. Long shifts at the hospital and her many years of study have worn on her patience, and she can sometimes be extremely harsh; brutally honest almost to a fault. Jessica is also extremely stubborn and if you contest her about something, expect her to contradict it in any way she can. Jessica is also quite a spitfire and is easily aggravated when not working, often followed by either silent judgement or an everlasting grudge. Her current career at the hospital has also led to her frequently detaching herself mentally from a situation to avoid, and has made relationships rather….difficult for her.
Upbringing
Like literally every other one of her siblings, Jessica was born in the Salem University Hospital. Brought into the world on the morning of a warm June day, she was the third of the five Horton children, placing her in the awkward role of the middle child. Adored at first, put aside later as her parents focused on her younger siblings Elliot and Olivia. In her mind however, there was no jealousy. There was only love and acceptance from her, the unbreakable bond of family. She watched over her younger two siblings up until she finished high school, often helping them with homework or comforting them on bad days.
Speaking of her education, Jessica was an excellent student. Having been grilled to do well by her parents, she tried her absolute hardest in school, driven by the promise of a career in the medical field later in her life. Straight A’s in the vast majority of her classes, but few friends around her through high school. Jess wasn’t the social butterfly that a lot of the other girls in Salem High were. Never good in groups of more than a few people, never good at public speaking and never good at talking to guys. She was all book-smarts.
After graduating from Salem High with a really good scholarship, Jessica immediately enrolled in the Nursing program at the University of Salem. It wasn’t medical school like her parents had hoped, but they were still happy that she had decided to stay within medecine. For four years, she worked as hard as she possibly could and saw little interaction with others apart from her part time job at the Café. And it all paid off. Graduating with honors, she was almost immediately offered a position at the University Hospital in the I.C.U.
A year later, she migrated to the E.R. and enjoyed every moment of it. Something about saving people’s lives on a daily basis made up for all of the lonelier years of her childhood and teenager life. She continues to work there now, though her passion for the job is dwindling slowly.
Misc - After completing her Master’s degree, Jessica hopes to become a Nurse Practitioner.

General Information
Full Name:
Melissa Locke
Alias:
Whiplash
Age:
30, January 27th
Gender:
Female
Occupation:
Photo-journalist / Videographer
Abilities:
Dynamic Camouflage: Able to conceal herself + her clothing to match a background she touches.
Wall Crawling: Ability to climb most surfaces with ease, even upside down.
Enhanced Strength: Slightly above peak human ability (~ 1500lbs over her head for short periods of time)
Enhanced Vision and Spatial Awareness: Enhanced night vision, improved daytime vision and faster reflexes.
Highly Trained in Krav Maga: Trained from childhood in the ways of Krav Maga. Combined with her enhanced strength, she is truly a foe to be reckoned with.
Weaknesses:
Camouflage requires a lot of energy, therefore she can only hold it for a minute or two at best. No more durable than an average person and will succumb to most things that would kill a normal human being. Her heightened senses are also more susceptible to damage given their extra sensitivity (ex. Bright light will daze her for longer than someone with regular vision.)
Noteworthy Equipment (ED = Everyday, H = Hero):
Professional-Grade DSLR (ED): Her main photography and videography camera. Mel never leaves home without it. She also carries a variety of lenses to suit her needs in the field.
Laptop (ED): Mainly for sending her photos and footage to large news corporations, main asset in her source of income.
Black tactical backpack (ED): Something sturdy that will stay put, no matter her orientation, even upside down. Carries all her work gear.
Hard knuckle gloves (H): Standard duty gloves with a hard carbon fibre inlay around the knuckles. Gives that extra ‘oomf’ to her unarmed combat strikes.
Biography:
A product of an experiment gone wrong.
Or maybe an experiment gone right…
Melissa’s life has been one of perspective. In her early life, all she knew were the four concrete walls of what was essentially a glorified prison cell. Created from the genetic modification of an embryo, then grown in a lab until she was ready to “be born”, Melissa was purpose built to be the first in what was meant to be the next generation of soldiers. Mind you, there was one issue. She was originally intended to be male. A slip-up by one of the engineers caused an unintended, unnoticed change in her chromosomes, so they were quite surprised when the fetus started showing female traits. Nevertheless, the team continued to grow their reptilian-chromosome-enlaced fetus until birth.
Because of the issues, her portion of the project was scrapped and restarted from the beginning. Melissa was born in critical condition, barely breathing or showing any vital signs at all. She was kept in I.C.U at the Eclipse lab for the first two years of her life until she stabilized, before being transferred to a regular cell when she turned three. Throughout her childhood she was taught a relatively standard school curriculum from age five to fourteen, all the while being trained to fight alongside what was essentially her one year younger brother. The creation that was intended to replace her.
Up until this point, both Mel and her younger counterpart had been considered complete successes. They had both shown themselves able to use their abilities very competently and were both extremely proficient in hand to hand combat. But Mel was exhibiting something that the male wasn’t, something that the top brass of the facility thought was very intriguing and that would be very profitable. Enhanced strength. At age fourteen, she was able to lift almost 500 lbs above her head with no issue, able to slow a moving vehicle significantly and able to beat almost every single combat instructor in one on one combat.
Eventually her “brother” was all but forgotten and Mel took the spotlight, the centerpiece of their super-soldier program. No longer residing in a prison cell-- she had made it clear that she hated the cell by putting a whole through five feet of concrete-- Mel lived a fairly decent life. Now sixteen years old, she trained, ate and slept with the rest of the team while her counterpart sat on the sidelines, jealousy and hatred building inside of him.
And then one night, he snapped. Mel awoke to sirens going off all around. She stepped outside of her room only to see the corpses of the entire research team, the closest thing she had to family, strewn about the lab. In the center of them, her counterpart stood, bruised and bloodied. She couldn’t believe it. It felt surreal, seeing them all dead. The anger began to rise inside of her and she couldn’t help but think about killing the young man that stood in front of her. But part of her held back. He had been through enough.
Time flew by for the next fourteen years after Mel had escaped the Eclipse lab. In this time, Mel had been in and out of both orphanages and schools. She didn’t last more than a month in one place before she no longer felt safe around the other students. Eventually, after living on the street for a year, she managed to get a job at a fast food restaurant and found a cheap apartment to stay in. Mel worked hard to save money for college and applied for a two-year journalism course.
Now? Mel earned her diploma in journalism and through persuasion, managed to land a job at a small, independent newspaper company as a photojournalist. Though infrequent, a story that requires her specific skill set will occasionally come through. Her boss doesn’t know how she manages the pictures she does, but in Mel’s mind all that matters is the final product.

[sub]A Bit About Me:[/sub]
First off, to introduce myself.
