As their vehicle drew closer and closer towards the city, Marcellus listened quietly. He started to frown as a certain thought bubbled up to the surface. It had been on his mind at the start of their journey, but he'd managed to forget it until now. Or maybe the bumpy ride between then and now had knocked it out. He decided to speak, raising his voice a little to counter the roar of the truck's engine.
"Hey, have we been cleared to enter the city?"

He was sure that Columbia would want to know if a heavily armed group was entering one of their cities, regardless of how small the group was. Considering the recent calamity that had struck this particular city, they would probably be more on edge. He was sure that Rhodes Island had informed them, but given the previous state of their communications with the branch office, he couldn't say for sure.

Marcellus said nothing, though it wasn't because he had nothing to say. Should he complain about their long and uncomfortable ride here? No, they had been informed that it would be like this before the mission had started. And he was no stranger to uncomfortable transport anyway. Should he ask about the city they would be entering, and its unique place in history and current events? No, he had researched it on his own beforehand, although the information he gleaned had been mostly superficial. It would be easy to figure out once they entered, anyway. Should he ask about the enemies they would face, and what measures they would need to take? Perhaps. But there some things he could glean through the things they brought with them. He didn't feel the need to bring up any of this. And besides, he didn't want to lose focus while driving.

Marcellus sat straight and tall, hands on the steering wheel, doing his best to skirt around the larger obstacles. He had gained and utilised skills over the course of his career, and driving had never been one of his strong points. In spite of this, despite looking focused and on edge, he was quite relaxed as he scanned his surroundings. He observed the massive construct of a city as they drove towards it, the shadows of the buildings stretching a looming shadow over their vehicle. It was the site of their next investigation. A loss of communication could mean many things, from a simple equipment failure to total annihilation. But if Rhodes Island had expected simple equipment failures then they would have sent a repair team. Perhaps the unit had been sent as a scouting force, but Marcellus didn't think so. His teammates weren't green recruits or fragile scouts, they were true warriors. His years of experience was telling him that trouble was brewing...

The grimacing, gray haired angel suddenly loosened up and shrugged his shoulders. There was no need to be so tense now. No point in jumping at shadows, no reason to cry wolf. He didn't know the team very well but he was sure they were ready to handle any situation they came across. And if they weren't, well, there would probably be time to worry about that later.

Appearance: Average height, somewhat thin. Long grey hair, with a small beard. He should really shave it, but he keeps forgetting. No sense of fashion whatsoever, is often seen wearing cargo shorts and slogan t-shirts in casual situations. Wears serious combat gear on missions at least. Standard wings and halo.

Personality: Marcellus can come off as rather stoic and seems to be a man of rigid schedules, but he's actually a rather relaxed man who simply doesn't talk much. And when he does, it's usually in a rather blunt and straightforward manner. He operates via habits as opposed to strict routine, and tends to let his mind wander as his body does his tasks for him. Marcellus prefers to relax and take things easy, and he acts confidently because of his skills and experience.

History: The name Headhunter is a name with quite a reputation behind it. A former member of the Notarial Hall, Marcellus boasts a large list of exploits due to his long history of service. Rumours say that he has never missed a single shot, and that he always kills his targets in a single well placed headshot. They say that he's the Notarial Hall's secret hitman, and that he was trained as an assassin since birth... The man himself is quite baffled by these rumours. Among other things, Marcellus was primarily responsible for scouting talent to be recruited into the Notarial Hall, hence the designation of "Headhunter", and the nickname seems to have given people the wrong idea. Like other members of the hall, most of his work is purely beaurocratic. Certainly, he's had his fair share of "field work" and "troubleshooting", and he does like being thrifty with his shots, but the degree to which the rumours were exagerrated was quite bizarre.

Marcellus continued to work for the hall for a very long time, but recently, he had begun to feel that his age is catching up to him. He decided to retire from the hall and its duties. A few years later, however, he decided to join Rhode Island Pharmaceuticals as an operator. When asked why he was joining, Marcellus simply said that he was bored of retirement. He would much rather spend the rest of his days wielding his weapons in the field than languish in an eternal holiday, and he believes that Rhodes Island will provide a unique battlefield for him to use his skills.

Skills: Excellent marksmanship. Knows guns very well. Experienced, and can keep his cool, even against overwhelming odds. Very good at filling out paperwork.

Abilities: Natural empathy for other Sankta. Natural Arts profficiency for firearms. Good eyes. Has the ability to temporarily overload his rifle, increasing its shooting speed and penetration power, though if he does this for too long he will damage the gun, and he would no longer be able to shoot for a time.

Equipment: Custom-made precision sniper rifle, tuned for long distance sniping. Can be fitted with a silencer if necessary. Spotter drone (called Ashley), for spotting, since Marcellus can't rely on his own reflexes as much. Wears very light body armour.
