I might have to redesign my civ (City of Lancet) a bit because i wasnt expecting a dieselpunk setting. But when i do they'll probably resemble valkyria chronicles a bit... if i have time...

Its only a matter of if i have the time.

I'll dust off one of my old characters, an old grey werewolf named Hubert Whitaker who owns a company that acts as a shell company for the werewolves activities in preserving nature and being eco-warriors (i like this idea more than simply being a menace to society).

The working name for the company is Sirius Corp. sirius being the "Dog Star". The company itself was set up in the 1960s and bought a decent-sized lake high up in the mountains. A pumping station building was built to allow water to be pumped up to be stored in the lake to be used as a giant capacitor for the energy grid. During the night while the energy consumption is low the grid pumps water uphill to the reservoir then when energy consumption is high the water is allowed to flow back down hill through a turbine and generates electricity. The beauty of this is that whenever it rains the pumping station gets free energy.
I imagine the pumping station as being a bit like inside a dam with a turbine hall. Lots of grease and chains hanging from the gantries. The real purpose of course, of Sirius Corp is to act as a protector for the werewolves activities and to encourage the humans to invest in renewables and the environment. We could make it that the werewolves get magical energy from extremely pure and ancient water in the lake or possibly the deer herds that come to drink the water.

With reguards to hiearchy, Hubert will basically act as advisor to the Alpha without actually threatening his rule because hes too old. He is a hereditary werewolf and fought in WW2 as part of the classified "Dog Soldiers" group part of the US Rangers. He knows a thousand different scents of enemies, allies and prey and can often tell if one of his fellow werewolves is in the area and in trouble simply by scent alone. He also enjoys simply hunting in the forest in wolf form and does this as often as he can afford to, often going out in boar hunting clothing but transforming into a wolf as soon as hes alone. Leaving his gear by his campsite. He even may take the group on a hunting trip. He also makes a good boar sausage when at home. His wife Norma is actually an ordinary human and knows he is a lycanthrope.

What do you think Penny?
Im also watching this.
Ive started working on the Household Guard of my Knight.

The post isnt complete but i can drop a hint:

Theyre basically Felinid Imperial Guard that were saved from destruction by being incorporated into the Freeblade house. They have naturally good night vision and are battle-hardened but few in number. They are basically tankers who use Sentinel walkers which due to not being under the scrutiny of the Admech have been heavily customized and individualistic to the driver. The average Sentinel is equipped with a grav-chute, multi-melta and power blade for melee attacks.
Im down to play a freeblade!

I especially like the private army idea and have plenty of ideas of my own, and playing as a merchant-like character appeals to me as it allows me to expand my private army ideas down the line...

I imagine i will be awarded lands by planetary governors in exchange for services, much like feudal knights.

My favorite titan is the Armiger class... but i could see myself dreaming bigger if you want!
@Liotrent

Sounds good to me!
Im still here.
@Cyrania Wow, thanks!
I'm still making my character so dont think ive forgotten!

The party is looking pretty combat heavy, which is good because...

Im interested,

If allowed, i will make a Cunning Merchant, who is bereft of money, is from a Viking-Esque Clan and is almost obsessed with becoming a business magnate. He will attempt to cut a deal with almost anybody where a profit could be made. Hes the money purse of the group.

If he has two abilities, one is to parry a blade really well (hes had allot of practice with angry business partners) and the other, is his raw cunning, which is kind of like a mortal super power if you think about it; He knows not to take home magical rings, walk across a pentacle and to never cut a deal with a dragon.
He wants to be a fatcat but actually genuinely cares about people a bit too much, especially his clan which consists of a few villages in the frozen north (Ispar). Hes not easily corrupted because that sort of person gets weeded out pretty quickly where he comes from.

Sound interesting?
