I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

"Well if you ever need a hand, or just company, I'm sure there are people in this village, especially the younger ones including myself, who'd like to see more of the world," Zaria said.

"Traps have helped," Grom agreed, "thanks to our Eline for setting them up, but every region has its own 'beast king', sometimes several, and we have yet to meet ours. Call me a worrier or an old soldier, but I don't think Soren is lucky enough to just not have one."

"Well, Emtardas claims to be a decent magic user," Malkas added, "so we wouldn't be as short-handed as we appear."

"We look forward to having you," Benna replied.

Bormash could see she didn't want to talk about it, but he figured there had to be a reason she was so touch-averse. He decided not to push it and went back to cooking. Looking up, Bormash could see, despite the smoke and light from the fire, that the stars were shining rather clearly. "It's a lovely night," he said to no one in particular.
Orpheus opened his protective cape and began firing a salvo of high-energy beams at Nyx. While he covered a large area, he had very low accuracy.

Mayura ducked behind the mesa again to avoid getting shot at by Asteria. Tera kept an eye on the radar, looking for an opening to sneak around and flank Asteria again.
"Well, it is a bit disheartening to see the land split up," Shizuka replied, "But the land isn't what's important, I'm just glad these youkai are now closer to regaining their freedom and dignity." Looking around, she could see that many of them were having a hard time hiding their excitement, despite their grudges against the dragons. "If we can manage to help you find the princess, maybe we can part on good terms, or as best of terms as can be reached, and not remember only the worst of each other."
OK, I'll have a scene right when the event happens, and then transition to some time later.

No worries about being busy. real life always takes priority over RP. I'll make a starting post IC once your character is done.
This haze you're talking about, are you in Malaysia or Singapore?

I can see insanity as fire because a lot of people associate fire with chaos, and associate insanity with chaos as well. I don't personally like that interpretation of insanity as the maniacal laughter, Batman joker-style madness, so I think water works better.

I'll go with Longing (Earth) and Insanity (Water) then. I'll need to work on characters. What do you want in the CS? Will there be other themes that our characters need to follow in addition to element, for example, do they use a magical weapon of some sort?
"Absolutely," Kaizou answered, keeping a straight face. He went to the group of dragons that was prepping the scouts.

Shizuka looked up at Kuroaki with her piercing red eyes, her look calm and inquisitive. She spoke with a soft, airy voice, barely above a gentle whisper, "I am doing well, your Highness. I hope you are not too tired from such a grueling descent."
"Does it get lonely, traveling by yourself?" Lannis asked.

Grom narrowed his eyes slightly. "It's just as well, I suppose," he said with a hint of disappointment, "However, we do have to worry about the occasional wild animal or monster. So far, Soren hasn't been attacked by any other city or country yet."

"Yes, what we lack in numbers, we make up with diversity," Benna said.

"It's peaceful," Jeel agreed, "and we're surrounded by anything we could ask for."

Bormash looked at Elizabeth, considering what she had said, "Well, if it gets too hard to bear alone, we can share our problems with each other...in general, I mean..." Bormash decided he couldn't let it be too awkward , but he really meant it. He had a vague feeling that she was struggling with some pain, and wished he could relieve her of it.
Blythe's shot unfortunately, impinged off of Orpheus' cape-shield's protectively high collar. Orpheus turned towards Nyx's general direction and fired his beam shotgun, hoping to hit.

Mayura turned around the mesa and fired a short burst at Asteria from its beam rifle.
Hey sorry for the long wait, I brainfarted and forgot to reply.

I think those elements fit rather well. I'm surprised you didn't make insanity fire, but I rather like your choices.

Which two were you thinking of taking for your characters? or if you want, I can choose first.
Then both men turned to examine Kaizou and the soldier with him. Kuro internally raised an eyebrow. He knew this Tanuki. He wouldn’t call him a ‘troublemaker’ exactly, but he knew him to be opinionated and angry at the dragons. Except perhaps for Shinrai, due to all her efforts? He was not one of the prisoners of war though and could have chosen to remain in the Sky Islands. Kuro was almost glad he hadn’t remained (since he might have become a troublemaker there) but seeing that he’d volunteered to come on this mission somehow made him uneasy. Had he come just to win his freedom, or for some other reason? He shook his head at himself. Shinrai would be ashamed at him for thinking the worst in people. So he forced himself to nod slightly in civil recognition to the Tanuki.

Tatsuo peered down at Kaizou. He was a large man, of course, well suited to his high position. “State your name,” he directed first. Then asked flatly, “Do you intend this expedition any harm?” watching keenly for a reaction. This time Kuro’s eyebrows did draw up in surprise.

Kaizou looked up at General Tatsuo, maintaining a certain amount of defiance in his glare; it wouldn't do to appear too accommodating. "Kaizou," he replied, "and no, I intend this expedition no harm. I merely desire my freedom, but these godforsaken mountains are no place for a tanuki to make a home, so I'll help until we've found the princess and gotten to some decent land." His goal for now was to locate the princess, the only good dragon in his opinion, and if possible, to come into possession of the Orb, something his superiors had ordered him to do.
