Don't need to apologize, my own schedule is pretty sporadic with some long wait times as well.

My siblings were in game art programs (animation, 3D, particles, etc.). My brother used to work for a cell phone company making graphics to test and demo their graphics engines, while my sister works for an actual game company. My brother really wants to make games.

Your post is unusually good for someone under the influence. It's fine that you'r talking about yourself, it's what I asked anyways.

I live in the San Diego region, California, USA. So Southwest, a stone's throw away from Mexico. It's basically already spring here, its nice and cool, and can even get a bit warm and sunny in the afternoon. I know the rest of the country is freezing their butts off. I love my job, mainly because the people I work with are awesome. I'm not a great programmer, and lack in some skills, but my client is super understanding and gives me work that is a good balance between comfortable and challenging, and still worth something to the company. Since I'm consulting for them, I don't work very many hours and can work from home, so its pretty comfortable. I have a pretty decent hourly rate but since I don't work that many hours, I don't make that much so I should be trying to get more clients, but right now I'm living with family and just supplementing the household income. By family I mean parents and siblings. I'm not married, and at this point I don't really intend to get married unless life punches me in the face with something unexpected.
I forgot to add that Interference can mimic voices and sounds as well as do ventriloquism. I also forgot to mention that not only can she produce sound and light from any part of her body, she can detect sound and light from any part of her body as well. So she could stick her finger around a corner and see around corners that way.
Balio stopped right outside the mine and turned around. "What do you see in her?" he asked confrontationally.

"We-well...she's nice," Sunder said, nervous and blushing.

"And?" Balio pressed.

"And? Well, she's pretty..." Sunder replied.

"Yeah?" Balio asked, "Yeah. She's pretty alright, but then again, it's hard not to be."

"What do you mean?" Sunder asked.

"She's a shapeshifter!" Balio yelled, "You're only attracted to her because she wants you to be! You don't know what she actually looks like!"

"But we came to Soren not to be judged for who we are," Sunder argued, "we shouldn't judge her either."

"Not everyone's like us. You're too naive, you can't trust everyone, especially not anyone magical."

"But what about Emtardas and Reas?" Sunder asked.

"I don't trust them much, either," Balio replied with some resignation, "look, just...be careful, and keep these types of people at arms length ok?"

"I...I'll have to think about it," Sunder muttered.

"Well, let's get back to work," Balio concluded.
With Nyx not moving, a large chunk of the strikecraft moved on to continue their attack on Sion's position. The ones that remained were supposed to either capture or destroy Nyx, but Solomon was able to engage them, distracting them.

"You stay and help your sister and Solomon," Maya ordered Claire, "I'll aid Sion." Obsidian boosted away from Asteria's flight path towards the asteroid.
Hi, not trying to rush you or anything, I just wanted to shoot the breeze and be sociable and all that. I'm assuming you're in high school or college from our previous conversations. If you're in high school, what are your favorite subjects? If you're in college, then what's your major? I've graduated college with a Masters in Bioengineering, with an undergrad focus in biotechnology, and a graduate focus in bioinformatics. I work as a bio-data consultant for a small company.
Before Al could get to answering her questions, the waiter came back over to their table. "What can I get you two for dinner?" he asked, patiently waiting for their orders. "I think she decided on the frog legs and I... Hm... I'll have the Baked Camembert." Al responded. With a bow, the waiter went back to deliver their order. The blond's attention fell back onto Shizuka. As his indigo eyes lingered on her form, he realized how the candle light really made her stand out.

"My mother is Cajun, a uh... French descendant? She's from Lafayette, Louisiana, so she has a very funny accent. Dad thinks it's sexy though." Al joked, cracking a grin. "I've only been to Louisiana once, but it's not really a pleasant place. It's very close to swampland so there's tons of mosquitoes, and the water tastes like sewage. As for the food... Kinda spicy, but very good. The Cajuns eat frog legs pretty often, but the actual Americans don't. They think it's really strange. I guess, it's like... how some Americans see sushi as gross." he explained to her, trying to relate it to her own culture.

As for his own nationality, Alban had to pause for a moment and think about it. He took another drink of wine, his glass now empty, before filling his cup up again and describing his heritage. "I am actually a Japanese-American-French citizen. Meaning I was born in France to an American mother and a French father, who then moved to Japan and became Japanese citizens. So I could theoretically live in any of these countries without needing a visa or green card. It's... a little complex."

Al opened his mouth to ask Shizuka some questions about herself, but he was stopped by the sudden sound of a piano playing. In the corner of the room, a very elegant seeming, raven haired Frenchman was warming himself, gliding his across the keys. The man cleared his throat and gestured a long hand towards Al and the Japanese girl before him. "Pour le couple ici ce soir." (For the couple here tonight.) the performer said in solid French before beginning to play a very familiar song. Immediately, the blond turned scarlet and his nerves seemed shot for a split second. He hadn't expected that to happen at all. This hadn't meant to come off as a date, but the feeling in the air was definitely more romantic than what he envisioned.

The alcohol in his system helped him keep the conversation going. "So, Shizuka, tell me more about yourself. What's your family like? What do you do other than work and go to school?" As he said that, he leaned in, all ears while the music danced in the background.

Shizuka listened intently as Alban described Lousiana. "You can get a lot of mosquitoes in the Japanese countryside," Shizuka added, "Probably because of all the rice fields." When Alban mentioned how American's thought frog legs and sushi were gross, she replied, "I think it comes from a culture of plenty. I think only civilizations that have truly suffered can really appreciate just how much of the natural world is edible, and how much of nature's bounty can be found in seemingly unlikely places. I hope that doesn't sound weird."

After Alban described his 'nationality', Shizuka said, "Having lived in three different countries sounds like quite the life experience. I've only ever lived in Japan, and even then, just a small part of it. Still, it's amazing how much our nation has to offer in spite of its small landmass." But then the pianist approached and said something in French before playing a lovely tune. Confused, Shizuka turned to Alban, "What did he say?" She was pretty happy to be immersed in a different culture, and awaited Alban's translation.

In response to Alban's question about herself, Shizuka said, "Me? Oh, I'm not nearly as interesting. I'm just an average person, I do what I'm supposed to... My parents live in a smaller town out in the country. I'm an only child. Other than work and school, I usually read, I spend a lot of time buying groceries and cooking for my roommate and myself. I also recently picked up a new hobb..." Shizuka fell silent. She wasn't sure if she wanted to talk about Wizardry: The Collective to a recent acquaintance. She was afraid it would make her seem juvenile. "Wh-what about you? What do you do for work? What do you do for fun? Do you go to school?" SHizuka asked, turning it around.

I think Jacques Jonai's party trick might be a typo:

Party Trick: Unexpectedly good pencil sketch portraits due to her observant nature and dexterity.

It's Shizuka's. It even retains the female pronoun.
As for Interference's attacks and abilities, here are a few:

Three-point Harmony: Anything that her sword/bat strikes three times she can destroy. The rod vibrates when it strikes and she analyzes the vibrations. Three vibrations give her enough information to pinpoint the resonant destructive frequency of the object being hit. This lets her make a 'blunt slash', since the sword/bat has a cross-section that is an equilateral triangle, each of the three 'blade edges' is only 60 degrees, not particularly shape or good at cutting, but if its vibrating at the right frequency, it makes a horrible, jagged, shattering sort of cut through the material. This ability doesn't work on some materials. Interference has several materials memorized, like concert, and bone-through-flesh.

Active Denial System: Based on a real-life military technology, it is in essence a non-lethal heat ray in the form of a wall. It causes intense pain but little to no damage in the top layer of skin and is used as a deterrent.

Beam snipe: Interference can fire high energy light beams from her body, channeled through specific outlets in her suit to snipe people down. it is very lethal so she doesn't use it that much unless she's trying to cripple or disable a fleeing enemy.

Cymatic disruption field: Interference generates a large area of fluctuating sound pressure. Depending on the frequency and intensity, it can cause mild nausea and vertigo, to actual physical trauma. She can use it to cause earthquake-like effects and can cause significant collateral damage. This ability relies on her placing her emitters to create an acoustic zone. This ability may overlap with her study of magic by taking advantage of 'magic circles' and the magical properties of sound (chanting, reading spell aloud, etc.)

Solar Flare: A blinding flash of light (DBZ reference)

Mute: Interference can make herself inaudible by absorbing all the vibrations her body would otherwise generate.

Camouflage: self-explanatory. Works like real-life camouflage, in other words, not perfect. Much easier to trick electronic tracking equipment like radar, a lot harder to trick biological eyes.

Super vision and super hearing: comes with the sound and light abilities.

Her suit can let her punch through wood. It can also protect her from getting hurt if being hit by a fast-moving car, but getting hit by a truck will still be pretty painful and risky. The suit also gives her the ability to control and command electronics that she has made (drones, robots, etc.) Technically, she's a glass cannon. Her abilities can all be slightly modified depending on what frequency she's using, and she's always experimenting and coming up with new ways to use her powers. When she figures it out, she'll start to incorporate magic into her technology, like runes of protection in her armor etc.

I'm hoping for more Assassin characters or NPC's for Interference to interact with, take orders from, or attempt to manipulate. Depending on where the story goes, Interference may try to 'double-dip' and secretly join Zeta Squad. Heck, she might even try to triple-dip and join Omega League too. She would see no moral dilemma in doing so since every step is but a means to her goal.

I can foresee her having a power rivalry with Doc Williams. While her use of light is more 'scientifically' oriented and thus restricted, Doc Williams' use of light is more esoteric and all encompassing, I feel.
"Blythe's unconscious!" Tera yelled through the commlink. Mayura kept track of the pilots' vitals.

"Shit!" Solomon said, pushing Legion into the fray in an attempt to extract Nyx.

"Let's go back him up," Maya said to Claire, and boosted in Solomon's direction.
