A slow, dull, yet intense pain blossomed in Kanaka's chest, forcing her to grip the lapels of her haori. The thought of being replaced terrified her, but the thought that Junkojuro might do a better job terrified her even more because then her desire to remain by the side of her beloved uncle and brother was a selfish desire, something she wanted more than the success and safety of her brother. She realized that she would always choose to remain, even if it meant that her ineptitude brought the entire clan to ruin. Because leaving her family was the one thing she could never bring herself to do.

"NO!" Kanaka said, more forcefully than she had ever said anything before. "P-please...don't replace me...I...I couldn't stand it." Kanaka realized she was shaking and clenched her fists to steady herself. "I...I may not be as strong, or as smart, or as spiritually gifted as you. I may not be immortal, I may be naive and ignorant..." She looked up at the fox spirit with a sharp, piercing gaze, the hint of tears in the corners of her eyes, "But I will NEVER leave Ryuunosuke-oniisama's side...Teach me!" Kanaka demanded, rather selfishly. "Teach me so that I may be useful. Teach me that I may earn my place next to those I love. In return..." her voice trailed off into a whisper. She took a deep breath, "In return...I'll give you anything that is within my power to give!"
YingJue took the Gundam MkV gratefully and began messing with it, moving its joints, opening up panels, pretty much figuring out all its gimmicks in order to familiarize herself with it. "OK, I think I'm ready."

YingJue placed the Gundam MkV and her base as well. Controlling the Gundam, Yingjue made it move around a bit, trying out its weapons and releasing and retracting the INCOMs to test it. "What sort of training do you think I should focus on?"

"As for why I invited you here, I'm not entirely sure. For the past decade or so, my presence has been unknown, so perhaps the prospect of being able to speak openly with at least one other person was alluring. Or perhaps I did not want to wake up one day to find a talisman on my head. Either way, you must admit it is much simpler this way. With your sight you would have found me eventually. At least this way you can be at ease knowing that the youkai lurking in your home means you no harm, and I can be at ease knowing that my gardening won't be upset by a need to hide from you. What a shame it would be if I neglected a flower simply because you were standing near it!" He gave another soft laugh as he gently stroked a bud, as if coaxing it to bloom. "Ah, but that is only my side of the story. Surely you have one of your own. You came to me of your own free will, and quite off-guard. Was there something that you wished to achieve in speaking with me, or was it simply a whim like mine?"

"I knew that, though hidden, there was a strong spiritual presence on the grounds, but I had not been able to locate the source due to my duties at the shrine. You also responded to me in a positive way when I made my presence known," Kanaka explained. "I...I am glad that you mean no harm. My main reason for seeking out Hakurou-dono and yourself was to ascertain any spiritual threats that may be posed to Ryuunosuke-oniisama. Even better than finding no threats, would be if I were able to enlist help, spiritual allies, who would support the Wolf Clan. Yet my own ineptitude has resulted in my brother losing face in front of Hakurou-dono. I wanted desperately to help, to be useful, but if my presence is an inconvenience and will spoil my brother's reputation, maybe it would be better if I wasn't here." Kanaka tugged at her own sleeve and looked wistfully away.
Sure, we might have people leaving.
I don't have the confidence to make my own digimon, but I would be down. Are there any good digimon databases where one can search for digimon by type, element, etc.?
"Hey! If you're not going to train anymore, then get out of there!" Mizawa yelled, breaking Arsenio out of his introspection.

Arsenio grumbled to himself, but he couldn't disobey. He opened the cockpit and stepped out onto the catwalk that was moved in front of the chest of the Duel. "Did you need me for something...sir?" he asked, with a twinge of snark.

"No, just don't waste time or hog the equipment if you're not going to put it to good use," Mizawa replied.

"No one else is going to use it anyways..." Arsenio said to himself, though he was well aware that sometimes programmers went in to interface with the OS or technicians calibrated the controls.

Mizawa left, leaving Arsenio to himself. Arsenio looked around the hangar. "Tch...don't see that cute lady tech anywhere," he said, scratching his hair. He took an equipment lift down to ground floor and wandered casually around the hangar for a bit. "Might just go back to my room..." he thought to himself.
"Y-yes." Kanaka replied, "My name is Mitsumine Kanaka, Junkojuro-sama." If Junkojuro saw no fear in her, it was for several reasons. The first of which was the signal he had sent earlier, which was one of peace. The second reason was that Kanaka was someone who had so embraced her fear of the world that instead of being an inhibitory force, it had become her driving force, so much a part of her that her fear became her courage, the reason she confronted things for fear of losing that which she cannot stand to lose.

In response to his question she looked intently at him. Much of her magical training had been entirely theoretical and putting it into practice was something else entirely. "S-sanbi...Oinari-sama..." Kanaka said slowly, discerning him as a three-tailed fox kami, though she wasn't entirely certain whether he was kami, youkai, or ayakashi, or even what the nuanced differences were supposed to be between the three. If the legends were true, Junkojuro had lived over 200 years, 100 years for each extra tail. She wondered how much of that was spent on Mitsumine lands, and how long he had been here as a 'lowly gardener'. At any rate, he had been here for a while if his presence had remained hidden to her up to this point, why had he chosen to reveal himself to her now? Why had he invited her to him? Was it because she had projected her own presence?

"W-why..." Kanaka hesitated for a split-second, "Why have you called me to you?"
@Skylar

"How dare you seduce Ryuunosuke-oniisama!!"

I totally thought you were a Turkish Muslim.
YingJue followed Kartal to the training room. "I didn't bring a spare Gunpla, and it will take a few hours for me to repair the Mythos. Is it possible to train without it?" she asked.
