A Preface to Activity

Collab: Kal-el and yoshua171

The grove that had existed since Kimiko was a child was a place of solace for Toyotomi and his daughter. Any discussion could be held there at their discretion. A place away from the world, the grove could bring a bit of peace for Toyotomi's family. He stood the flowers that Kimiko had planted weeks ago, admiring the beauty that his daughter paid so much attention to. Not only were they beautiful but also the kind of flowers that her mother would plant. Memories hobbled together within his mind, going over the things they shared, and the incidents of arguments. Regardless of the good or bad, Toyo was happy. He would wait as long as needed for his daughter to arrive whilst he smelled the flowers. "Let us hope your daughter has things in her grasp. "

Arriving a minute or two later, Kimiko's defined figure strutted its way proudly into the clearing, an air of purpose about her. Seeing the place she had spent many training sessions in was somewhat nostalgic, it provoked many emotions in her, but she had no time to address them at such a pivotal time, so they merely skirted the edges of her mind, ignored for a time. "Greetings father," she said, her voice sharp despite its clear and harmonious sound. "I called because I would prefer to make a more informed decision, and as I understand it you were the one who located the...problem," her eyes narrowed, a brief fire in them, before it was pushed away, clarity again apparent on her features.

"Ah Yes. A man dead and our storage nearly all burned. A difficult situation to say the least. None of the men could find the culprit or even a hint of evidence to help." Toyotomi rubbed his chin intently. A quick unlatching of the pouch on his hips, Toyo pulled a kunai out. It was a small thing for Toyo and Kimiko to speak while practicing. It was a calming thing that both got from the woman they loved the most. A flick of the wrist sent the kunai flying toward his noble daughter. Nothing intense from them as that would ruin the area. Just a small exchange.

She listened, standing with one hip jutting out to the side slightly, her hand on said hip. When she noted his movement she took a half step forwards, angling her left side in front of her so that when the kunai approached she could turn, whipping her arm up, and snapping it out of the air. She then began to walk to the side, turning to tread the same ground she had before, pacing. "A blatant attack, and at such a terrible time in the season too," she tapped her chin thoughtfully, her brow furrowing as she did so. She did not like this, not one little fucking bit.

Doing her best not to grit her teeth, Kimiko's jaw muscles tensed lightly before more words poured from her supple lips, her tone serious, "Seeing as our relationship with most surrounding clans is decidedly positive, I say we send out a message or two." She nodded her head, glancing at her father a moment before continuing, "The clan should be informed and the watches doubled, preferrably with the sharingan so as to not miss any...important details." Like the face of a killer, she thought, annoyed that there'd been not a single witness. She didn't understand how it had been managed. "We also may have to consider the possibility that one of our so called allies is lying to us. What do you think, father?" The last bit she said after ceasing her pacing and turning to Toyo, at which point she threw the kunai, as if passing the speaking torch. The action was casual despite the serious circumstances, she was attempting to stay relaxed.

It was barely working.

Raising his hand, his middle finger and pointer finger taking signifigance, Toyotomi caught the kunai between them like snatching a fly out of the air. His sharingan had worked out the neccesary speed and angle needed to achieve such a feat. "I agree. Foul play is an easy thing for the shinobi. It would take such to get past us without warning." Toyotomi's left hand rose to stroke his chin and he pondered for a moment. "What is it you would like for me to do? Our options are limited." He asked curiously.

As her father mentioned foul play her eyes widened, an idea entering her pretty little head. Her eyes darkened, "It just occurred to me that this would've happened in the middle of the night, with ample shadows, but low visibility." She looked to her father, "I only know two clans who that would serve as an advantage to. The Hyuga and the Nara..." despite mentioning the former of the two she could not see the Hyuga daring to attack them. Her and their people had something of an understanding as it was far too dangerous for either of them to face eachother without extensive losses. The Nara however, she could see taking on that role. They were mysterious, possessed some kind of specialized shadow technique, and many of them were geniuses to boot, or at least they liked to flaunt that particular trait.

She hated the Nara and their ways. Damned bastards. "What do you think?"

Following this she should her head and turned away, clearly agitated now. "Sending messages out is one thing, but there must be a way to tell if those bastards lie to us...." She trailed off, beginning to pace as her thoughts raced.

"I can't guarantee anything but send me if need be and I will speak with the clans. I do carry a long standing with them and if they lie to us, then I'll personally see to the end of their history." Toyo's sharingan pierced through the tension right into his daughter's eyes.

Nodding slightly and smiling at the ferocity in her father's eyes Kimiko's own eyes flashed and he'd note her sharingan's brief activation before she turned away and a focused look came upon her features. "Good, now all that needs doing is to notify the clan, and deal with the aftermath," she said it almost as if it were a small issue. With her father's opinion, and his assistance available to her, she walked to the center of the clearing and preformed several handseals before firing a small fireball high into the air. It was more smoke than flame, but when it met its peak, it exploded, releasing a thundering sound over the area.

This was how she always called the clan together. It was convenient and required that she waste no time sending a message by word of mouth. The clan would be gathered soon, and when they all arrived she would begin her work. This would be an interesting time they moved into, even if she did not yet realize it.

The winds of change were blowing, after all.
All right, everyone, how about we cool our heads off for a while? We don't want any arguments at this point of the RP, so, pretty please? Ryu is the father of this RP, so I'm guessing he's got a bit more of authority than most of us here, and stands on equal footing with Haru, so let's let the big guys have their talk.

Its cool.

Don't worry about it. I'll just drop it. Don't need everyone disliking me for something simple.
<Snipped quote by Kal-El>

Yeah, it's going to be a very long chat .__.

Alright. Have fun.

@Kal-El
To clarify point 2; your CS says that Tsurara won't leave him alone, implying that she pursues him for one reason or another. In the circumstances (i.e. him being Touma), it is reasonable to assume that you mean that she is either constantly attacking him Misaka-style, or part of his soon-to-be harem (point 1).
Point 3 is broadly correct though; if he didn't have that then he's just an expy without Touma's signature ability. Which is better.

But I'll bow out of this discussion now, because it's out of my hands. Just my opinions on your character.

Or they have a friendly connection. Or cause it was meant to be funny due to his fears and not hey you are part of my harem.

Get over trying to call him an expy when he is not like Touma besides having the same ability.

<Snipped quote by Kal-El>

Trying to phrase this without sounding combative... and failing. /sigh

Let's be honest here; he is Touma, albeit with different coloured hair and a pet dog. He even has an automatic harem making clause and an implied relationship with Tsurara which is identical to Touma and Misaka's.

I don't want to start an argument here and I'm no GM but throw me a bone; I'm just seeing a Touma expy that goes beyond imitation.

1. The harem thing was a fun thing. That's it. I doubt anyone is going to follow it. As it goes against his personality so I added in for extra.

2. OMG! An implied friendship. That doesn't make him Touma.

3. All I see if someone getting at Tetsuya cause Imagine Breaker. (no offense)

if you want him to remove the magic, sure. Also Frosty's ice is supernatural, so would be canceled by Imagine Breaker

Not if the ice is around the jacket which is covering his arm but not touching his hand which he'd be unable to do anything.

@Kal-El No Imagine Breakers. No matter how you look at it, anything that can instantly cancel any power is OP. We have Capacity_Down and AIM fields to shackle espers and magicians and that will be enough. A Student type character especially must not have this type of capability. There will be no exceptions on this point. If Jelly is involved in this we're both going to have a long chat ._.

She gave it to me herself before the RP even had an OOC.
Have Absolute Zero freeze Tetsuya's arm up to his wrist. The jacket keeps his arm from touching her powers and holds his arm in place and wrist from bending to escape.
<Snipped quote by Kal-El>

Brother, is that you!? D:

Its been awhile, sis.

But naw, I entirely got the name from you.

Does this RP need an MC? Does this RP need Touma?

Tetsuya isn't Touma and we are all "technically" the main characters so...ya know

I would say no but it's not my decision. As it is, at least the Imagine Breaker's not invincible. You just have to know how to beat it.

1. Grab a pistol
2. Shoot him in the face
3. ?????
4. Profit
So far what I have for right now. Backstory coming soon.

Biography:
Tetsuya is eldest twin of the Hebigami family. He was born a day before his sister finally followed, a rare occurrence. Tetsuya was always the one shouldered with responsibility whilst Shiho was allowed to be a brat for lack of a better word. Their father always taught Tetsuya to watch over Shiho and about the history of Espers. He believed that his children could emit AIM and he was correct as Tetsuya began to affect gravity around age 8, making local bullies stuck to the ground for picking on Shiho. His talents in such a field would one day grow to become one of the best espers alive.

A happy home was far from the truth of the matter. Their younger days were filled to the brim with hardship due to attacks by other espers/magicians plus the many experiments the two twins were placed through to help realize their abilities. Tetsuya's potential grew exponentially farther then the tests theorized. During one of the infamous tests, Tetsuya learned that his parents were only so caring so they could foster the twins' abilities and they even thought about getting rid of Shiho due to her inability to grasp a level of power similar to her brother. This set the young boy into a venomous rage that unleashed gravity uncontrollably, destroying everything in the area except for Shiho. When the destruction was over, Aleister appeared like an Angel on high to take the children away leaving Tetsuya unsure of his parent's fates.

For years the twins lived under Aleister's supervision, Shiho going to Hybrid Academy and Tetsuya attending another. Even while apart, the two never felt alone and Tetsuya was always around whenever Shiho needed him. He stood as the #2 Strongest Esper in Academy City and a champion to the people.

Personality:
As known by many, Tetusya is both a rather calm and carefree person. He gives off a rather mellow disposition, not getting truly mad very often. Relaxing is something he enjoys, usually just kicking back at times for hours. The young man is not lazy as much as he is a rather lax person, but still has his mind-set straight. Tetsuya holds a love for fighting people of great power; yet he never likes fighting those who lack in abilities, saying "it's troublesome and unfair". This is a preference he shared with his father. When in combat, he keeps himself level-headed and calm, believing one has lost the battle if he cannot keep his composure; and he believes in ending battles quickly. It’s obvious whenever Tetsuya is excited, given his usually calm disposition.

Ever since his childhood, Tetsuya has always been known to be a clever and very perceptive individual. Behind his piercing red eyes is an analytical mind that is quick to adapt and deal with any strenuous situation. While his physical capabilities are exceptional without question, his mind is also one of his greatest weapons. In any battle, Tetsuya always takes anything of value into account. From his opponent's quirks to changes in mood or mentality. To him, one can read their opponents next moves based on their state-of-mind and habits. Also, he places a high importance on a person's analytical prowess. In the past, he once told Aleister that one of the most important skills anyone can have, rookie or seasoned, is to see the patterns and relationships among the evidence if the time should ever come.

Skills:
Tetsu possesses many skills that have been honed over the years. In his younger years, he was taught the art of combat by his father. Karate was the art that triggered Tetsu's talent to flourish and his mind opened up to the tactical nature of combat. Not only was Tetuya able to grasp combat but, he is relatively smart in the area of Computer Science. Tetsuya has a keen eye for detail built over many years.

Ability:
Zero-Gravity - Tetsuya possesses the ability to manipulate gravitons (the subatomic particles that carry the force of gravitational attraction) and anti-gravitons (similar particles but with opposite force and spin of gravitons) thereby giving him control over gravity. Tetsuya can surround any person or object, including himself, with gravitons or anti-gravitons, thereby increasing or decreasing the pull of gravity upon it. Many abilities are granted to Zero-G including highly-concussive blasts, formation of gravitational force fields and levitation, flight, and had also been proven capable of generating gravitational fields in various objects. It has been stated by Aleister that Tetsuya at full power could use the greater gravity of the sun to strengthen his abilities though it would wear his body out at a far greater rate.

As per the handicaps, Tetsuya's manipulation of gravity is only up to a few feet meaning that he usually relies on close range and h2h combat I.e Gravity infused Karate. Along with that, Zero-G's gravitational forces are weakened against forces that don't rely on gravity such as wind, lightning, and etc. Shiho is particularly nearly immune to Tetsuya and her solar abilities easily penetrate his own.
