THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST #2

The rain fell like it was attempting to drown New York, every pitter patter echoing through my ears. I could hear every drop individually, my senses so finely tuned despite lacking the chi I once wielded. My clothes were soaked, the water increasing their weight, mimicking the heaviness of my heart as I stood outside the Harlem Hospital. My hands shook and my mouth grew dry, my heart beating faster and faster with every step. The sounds of the hospital growing louder and louder with every second, every patient my eyes set upon gave my body a goosebumps. I hated being here. I hate this feeling. I had truthfully never felt it but I wanted it to end. I wanted to walk away and yet I couldn't bring myself to leave. As I reached the fifth floor, a recognizable nurse stopped me on her way from her station.

"Its good to see you, Danny."

"Claire? Hi."

"Hey. I, uh, am sorry about Orson."

"Thank you."

"And I've been watching over Colleen during my shifts. I have to go but she's currently asleep if you want to see her."

I could only nod to her, feeling the warmth her hand as she placed it on my shoulder to comfort me. It felt good to know there was someone watching out for Colleen that cared. Making my way to Colleen's room, goosebumps ravaged my body. I stood outside Colleen's room, staring in at her unconscious body. My anxiety and my fear escalated higher and higher, breathing becoming heavy, chest tightening. There was void in my stomach and my mind was in overdrive. I had to go in. I had to see her face to face. I finally entered that space and took my seat by her side.

I hated seeing the many tubes connected to her to help keep her health stable, my hands shaking at the sheer thought that I could've lost her. Colleen was always one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. She took me when me and Orson fought, helped me solve my parent's murder, and gave me one of the greatest joys of my life. I can't speak enough on how amazing this woman was to me and I failed in protecting her. I failed in stopping the pain she endured. My hand found its way to her, crawling its way under so that our hands rested palm to palm. For a moment, it felt like everything would heal and the pieces would fall into place...that was until I heard that familiar voice.

"Her breathing is haphazard. A strong soul."

Echoes of a distant past traveled through my mind at the speed of light. I stared at her and could only utter a few words.

"Shiva, you duplicitous bitch."

"Oh my what vulgar language."

"SHE IS LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF YOU!"

I stood up and screamed at Shiva, my whole suite of emotions forming upon my face. She only stared back with a smile, crossing her arms in clear defiance of my words. There was a air of confidence around Shiva which only served to piss me off more.

"Instead of screaming over her body, meet me on the roof. We can talk there."

With little hesitation, I followed behind her. It hurt to leave Colleen at this moment but I needed to see what Shiva wanted, why she came here, and to give her the same medicine that she diagnosed for Colleen. Words were kept to a minimum as we walked to the roof of the hospital, Shiva walked with little care for the world, and I could imagine was depravity was going through her mind at the moment. Maybe this was a plan by Davos to finish me off, if so then I was not going to go quietly. Eventually we entered the rooftop, ran still pouring at an alarming rate.

"Alright, Danny. Show me if you still got it."

Shiva took her normal stance with a devious grin upon her face, and everything in me began screaming in rage. Before I knew it, I was running at Shiva, the water splashing with every step, my muscles tightening as went on the attack. Opening with a spinning roundhouse, I thought I'd be faster but in reality Shiva easily blocked my kick. Her motions were fluid, from block to counterstrike, each attack felt as if there was very little opening, my body unable to adjust to her ever-changing movements. I could see it in my mind what to do to beat Shiva, and yet my body couldn't follow. It was like my reactions had been dulled, either by the lack of Shou-Lao's chi or my own befuddled mind state, to the point that Shiva got the drop on me several times.

"Come on, Rand. You are better than this." Shiva connected with palm aimed at the center of my face as she spoke, disappointment evidently growing, "Colleen put up a much better fight. She nearly won if I'm to be modest. I get what you see in her."

"DON'T YOU SAY HER NAME!"

Shiva chuckled at my attempts to intimidate her, a right foot colliding with my jaw, the taste of iron entering my mouth, and a spinning side kick pushing so far into my gut that I could feel my organs moving. A quick sweep of the legs ended with Shiva holding by my collar, her face as close to mine as humanly possible.

"I'm sorry for the pain I've caused you. There is a part of me that still cares for you deeply so I do have something for you. I know where Davos is and I can take you to him."

"WHERE?!"
I would like to point out to anyone who might not know that @Silly Irish Lad is a friend of mine trolling a little

I thought I was a friend of yours? Also I'm making a jedi..who trained under Yoda but he's not actually Yoda. I'm funny.

Fashionably Late. Haven't had that kind of rp in a LONG time.
I've honestly had a writer's block lately due to all the IRL stuff. I've gotten one post in one rp in the last two weeks. Hoping to get my shit together.

THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST #1

My hands caressed her supple skin, soft as silk to the touch, her skin had a glow that matched the sun. My mind raced at the thought of our love, our bodies intertwined once again. I could feel eyes tracing my body longing for me, telling me how much she needed me with just a look. What she didn't know is that I needed her, Sandra was a love that longed for for so long and I could bare to go another second without her. I placed my hand under her chin, lifting her face so we met eye to eye, stared deep into her soul, and pulled her in to express my love. Before our lips could touch, my mind finally decided to correct itself.

"DANNY, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!"

My eyes shot open, the world a haze, but my ears could make out the sound of people screaming and cheering. Misty's voice felt the loudest, a voice I remembered, a voice that woke me up from my delusion. The taste of iron was strong, blood pooling into my mouth, and running down my face. Warmth was all I felt, a warmth that reminded me of her. My mind wandered, over and over before another fist collided with my jaw, waking me from my stupor. I focused my vision, seeing the world around me clear as day. Twelve men stood before me, angry, rowdy, fists raised toward me. I had entered this pit for a reason, to feel pain, to let out my rage. I wanted this. I wanted to hurt.

"Colleen."

Pain swelled in face as another fist struck me right above my left eye.

"Orson."

A kick to the midsection. This pain was nothing in comparison to what I was feeling. Was this all these men were capable of? My training in K'un L'un was worse than this. Could they not make me forget? No. They weren't worth it. I wouldn't fall to these idiots, these jive turkeys as Luke once called them. I always loved that term.

"What the fuck would Luke say, huh?"

For a moment, I could hear his voice echo in my mind, rewinding and replaying like a VCR, over and over. Why the hell should I let these assholes be the ones to hurt me? They can't do anything that I hadn't done to myself. No, these guys just wanted to fight and make money, entering shady fighting pits to make a quick buck by hurting others. They were all just like him. Just like that bastard who tore my heart from my chest, who took my powers, who took my father. It was time to cook these turkeys.

Adrenaline pumped into heart, every beat per minute increasing rapidly, entering a state of anger that I hadn't felt since that moment. A fist came from the right, a simple hook countered by left hand intercepting it, gripping the fist of the man, pulling him forward, and the sound of a snap echoed outward. Bone nearly sticking through the flesh, the man's own scream gave a me bit of satisfaction. The rest came rushing in, their foolish attempt meaning nothing to K'un L'un's greatest warrior. I may have lost Shou-Lao's chi but, I was still beyond the normal limits of a human. The stance I took mimicked that of masters of Muay Thai, a hard hitting style that I used with intent to end the fight early.

"Hurt this fucker."

My perception was honed to the utmost, my reactions still as fine as a pin point, there was nothing they could do to overwhelm me. A move of the head to avoid a punch, retaliating with an elbow to the ribs, snapping them like they were brittle. To those watching, I was a flurry of elbows and knees, breaking bones, knocking out teeth, and sending blood flying everywhere. I made it a point to not kill any of them, but they would all need a visit to the hospital. The last guy had a build that didn't match the previous fighters, his body riddled with veins, and muscles that only came from strenuous exercise. He was quick too, nearly catching me a few times, a fast jab leading into a combination. Unfortunately for him I was quicker, head avoiding every punch, taking every kick by hardening the points of contact. Eventually I found the opening, striking his shin with my own, nearly snapping it in two. I quickly drove a knee into his face, busting open his nose, and sending his consciousness on a vacation. I refuse to lose to anyone before I could get my hands on Davos.

"AND THE WINNER IS DANNY RAND!"

I didn't care bout the recognition. I didn't care about whatever praise would be placed upon me for beating twelve men. I just wanted to get out of there and I made sure they all knew it. I was so tired, blood dripped from blood stained warps on my hands, my nose and lip busted from the repeated blunt force trauma, and all I wanted to do was find some peace. Pushing past the "officials", I made my way out of the place till I heard Misty's voice.

"Danny."

"Not now, Misty."

"Yes now, Danny. Why the hell are you here?"

"Because.."

"Because you're trying to forget. You don't want to face the reality that Orson.."

"IS DEAD! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"

"I want you to open up to your friends. Danny, go see Luke. Go see Colleen."

I winced at the sound of her name, my mind unable to process my emotions at the moment. I wanted to scream. I wanted to tell her to fuck off. For a moment, I wasn't myself and I knew that taking my anger out on Misty wasn't the right call. Instead I turned my back to her and walked away, grabbing my Superman hoodie on the way out.

The streets of New York were loud with the hustle and bustle of city life, the people unaware to world around them. I threw my hood on my head, disappearing in the crowd. I wasn't the immortal Iron Fist at the moment, just a New Yorker looking for the answer of why I was put on this Earth.

For the last five years, Danny Rand has continuously fulfilled his role as the Immortal Iron Fist, standing a pillar of mastery in the world of martial artist. As a boy at the tender age of 12, he lost his father and mother to Harold Meachum's schemes and machinations, which put on the path of the martial artist after being adopted by his great-uncle Orson Randall. His path would lead to him journeying to K'un L'un to train under many masters for most of his life, his most taxing time under the tutelage of the Undead Monk, founder of K'un L'un, and master of the Shadow Seven. This training would lead to Danny defeating Davos and killing Shou-Lou the Undying to become K'un L'un's Immortal Weapon, Iron Fist.

Vengeance would fuel Danny's need to return home after over a decade, fighting alongside Sandra Wu-san, the woman he had fallen for and trained with, to stop Harold Meachum. In the end Danny realized that vengeance would not fulfill him, instead exposing Harold for his crimes, and in turn gaining a form of peace that he had sought for so long. The years would be long and rough but, Danny would always find the light in the darkness. From meeting Colleen Wing, to a complicated relationship with the assassin Lady Shiva, and starting Heroes 4 Hire with Luke Cage, Danny has had an active life. He is the Immortal Weapon, K'un L'un's greatest fighter.

I want to use Danny because I think he's cool and I find the want to create martial arts stories like the movies we all have grown up watching. Now I do have original stories in mind, but I would also like to repurpose certain stories around the lore of DC like Game of Death or Rumble in the Bronx. This also gives me a good team up in Heroes 4 Hire. All in all, I hope I can present hard-hitting, mystical martial arts stories, inspired by movies like The Raid.
