Imagine using the status bar to post about your personal life, instead of using it to drop bad memes on people. Couldn't be me.

Ya'll fuckers ain't even ready for the lore and depth behind my name - the intricate threads of nuance would destroy your puny, mortal minds. I like writing.

Gonna dress as the whole Conservative Party. If that thing doesn't fucking count as "undead" at this point, I don't know what does.

Somebody, please, kill me before I have to see the RPG Status Bar turn into an argument over Feminism. I don't think the Guild can handle anymore issues at present, let alone Feminism.

Here’s my sheet, you nonce. Can’t tell me I can’t use colour if I make my character British, can ya now?!

Class:
Hacker

Handle:
Freischutz

Name:
Referred to as "Cassie" within her specific circles.

Origin:
England, though the exact city they operate out of is unknown.

Organisations:
The Samaritans - a group that shares its name with one of the United Kingdom's suicide prevention charities, apparently not by coincidence. The Samaritans have a tendency to play on England's naturally unruly nature, and typically weak or disliked governments, to push an anarchistic viewpoint on its followers. Despite the majority of their operations involving pranks, parodies, and fairly minimalist propaganda on a wide breadth of topics, the group has been loosely defined as a low severity Domestic Terrorist Cell. Presumably, this is due to suspicions that the group has had a hand in tampering with Local MP elections, and the leaking of confidential Cabinet documents relating primarily to inter-party relations, Brexit, Parlimentary decisions, and international trade. The leaks themselves have been rather docile, and contain little damaging information, but the potential for escalation is ever present.

Known Details:
Freischutz is active from nearly 7am to 1am every day, consistently. They tend to act rather jovial, especially around other Samaritans, and like to talk about their cat, Isabella. As one of the senior members of the group, presumably being active since its inception, Freischutz has free pick of the tasks they take - which seems to be a joke regarding their name, "Free Shooter", in some capacity. The Samaritans themselves are very tight lipped when it comes to their members and "missions", and surprisingly thorough in their protection for a relatively small time anarchist group, so information is hard to come by, even if they aren't a particularly "hidden" group.

School District 15

~ Level 5 ~

"Oh fuck you too then!"

A little ways behind Kyoko was the hapless Yonosuke, trailing on out the entrance of one of the multiple shopping malls that lined the District. She flung open one of the many doors marking its entrance in annoyance, forcing a group of students from some District 9 school to dodge out of the way; it wasn't particularly often that she was barred entry to an entire mall, usually just the individual shops inside.
"Hold on Kei, would you-" Yo started, as he pushed his way around another gaggle of students that caught his path, "Would you slow down a sec?"

In terms of physical ability, he was no match for Kyoko. She seemed to be spending all her free time in some activity or another nowadays, unless it was time dedicated to meeting friends. Perhaps it was the fact she never attended school, he considered. But to have free time, whenever that time was needed, it felt almost like a carefully cultivated skill. She was never interrupted, never cancelled plans, and never arrived late - and yet she was always busy with something or another. Not even a NEET like Hiki had that much time on his hands.

But Yo's call-out seemed to reach her. She had continued her march down the street a short ways, but it wasn't that far away before she stopped and deviated off to the side, into the shade of some stores awning. It didn't take long to catch up.
"'Excuse me, you're Miss Amori, right? I'm gonna have to ask you to leave' fucking bullshit..." Kyoko muttered, slightly louder than she had intended, as Yo approached, "Gotta love that Level 5 lifestyle, dontcha? - science experiments, allowance cuts and shit like this."

She slipped her bag off her back, and let it drop to the floor as she slumped against the wall with it - something metal near the bottom audibly colliding with the pavement as it fell.
"You okay down there?"

"Who, me? Oh, yeah, great. Magnifico, molto bene."

Kyoko glanced up at her friend, who slid down the wall beside her. As far as Yonosuke's famously documented expressions of concern went, his look fell around the margin of "You think I believe that bullshit?" and "You're not getting enough sleep, are you?"
"I never asked: how do you feel about that?" Yo asked, as he pulled out a second bottle of soda.

"That," she took the drink, "was two weeks ago. Hiki already said everything, anyway." the open bottle forced away her slight, reminiscing smile, "'How could a middle schooler derank her?!', 'What's the world coming to?!'"

Kyoko laughed. Yonosuke did not.
"Yeah, but... I'm meant to be your best friend and all, y'know? Childish promise or not."

You're not meant to bring that up, she thought. Somewhere in the past a little Kyoko and a little Yonosuke were making a pinky promise. "We'll stay friends even after we're both Level 5's!" - a promise only children were capable of making. Part of her wanted to reply: "Like I'd remember some weird promise like that". The same part of her that occasionally had to stop her from assaulting shop owners, from using her Ability on street thugs, and, when things got really bad, from destroying the city. From his spot to the side, he could see the grave expression she wore.
"So, c'mon. How do you feel about it?"

"I don't really care about it."

Yo rolled his eyes.
"Tell me the tru-"

"I'm sure seven year old me is off kicking herself at the idea of getting deranked by some fourteen year old, but I don't care about it, or her, or the "Level 5 Rankings". And I guess that frustrates me?" Kyoko continued. Using Yo as a platform, she grabbed his shoulder, and pulled herself up from the floor, "Like, I wish I cared that this kid passed me, cause then I'd be motivated to take back my spot at number four and all. But I just don't."

Yonosuke sighed. He'd known her long enough to tell what was a lie and what wasn't when it came to her responses, even though she usually played close to her chest. It made sense, given her lifestyle, but he could tell, as much as he wished he couldn't. Somewhere deep down she was lying that she didn't care - some residual motivation from her days of obsessing over ability development, and how cool the Level 5's were - but he couldn't just say that. Instead, he stood up.
"D'ya wanna check in here?" he stuck his thumb behind him, to the shop they had taken shade under. A medium sized, odds-and-ends type of store, with a window lined almost entirely with Gekota merchandise. Even a weird looking, limited edition phone case - the kind of thing he could tell in an instant that Chi would love to own.

Not a beat passed with Kyoko stepping around him and into the store, leaving him to trail along again.
"If you really wanna know about that Level 5, why dontcha go find them? They're a middle schooler, can't be that hard to find." she joked, as she picked up with of the phone cases, seemingly pleased that she hadn't been thrown out of the place yet, "They're a Teleporter too. Who knows, maybe they'll fix that calculation glitch you keep having?"

"That's not a bad ide-"

"Or maybe she'll just say Kyoko was right, and removing that air displacement calculation in favour of my proposed shortcut is all you need~"

~ Surveyor Team Alpha ~

Sasha had long since left the confines of The Nerine Vista, leaving the Boss on her own, sat at her favoured table, in the middle of the main floor. This constant idea of watching all of one's blind-spots had waned on her for quite some time - years, now. In thought, her gaze drifted towards one of the several paintings that lined the walls of the restaurant. Just to give it that much more of a high end feel, if the gold embellished, leather seats, and rich wood tables didn't give off that air enough already.

But among the various classical art pieces that surrounded the main floor like a barrier, this one was particularly noticeable. Its theme was very much different when compared to the beautiful landscapes and naked Cherubs. This specific painting pictured the Earth, from orbit, splintered and cracked like a window pain, and illuminated from above by a brilliant white star. Below its frame was a gold nameplate, though with no artists name apparent. Only a series of words. "Der Alte Wurfelt Nicht". Painted nearly five years ago. One of the Boss's favourite pieces of art to ever be produced.

Her train of nostalgia and reminiscence was cut short, however, by the buzz of a phone, just outside of her peripheral vision. The device was still sat on the table where she had left it some time ago. At the angle she was sat, she could easily read the message, even despite leaning back it her chair, relaxed. The contact caught her eye first, listed as "Surveyor Team Alpha".

Rebecca Suthers tracking device disabled, magical interference. Unable to locate.
Surveyor Team Alpha - Now

~ Mortality ~

With a groan, Rebecca attempted to pick herself up from the ground. Her mana levels had been weak, so it wasn't surprising that the intangibility barely protected her in her entirety, but now that she was full of magical energy again, the pain and stiffness that struck her didn't feel right. If anything, she should have felt better, more revitalised, rearing and ready to enter the battle once more, but as she dug her blade into the ground to lift her from the ground, a sense of tiredness washed over her. The pounding in her head announced that something was amiss.

Though she was a resilient Magical Girl by trade, even Rebecca wasn't willing to have risked that kind of fall without protection. She had absorbed some of that mana dust from where her blade had punctured the beast, and rolled off down its back. From there, Rebecca had stepped to the shadow beneath it, and engaged her intangibility. With some finesse and luck, the thing would have passed right through her, and the resulting explosion of mana dust around her would bring her back up to peak condition for the next encounter.

So why then did she feel so terrible? It wasn't a weight of tiredness that laid upon her, though the lethargy didn't help. Mentally, emotionally, physically - she was drained. As much as Rebecca shook her head, attempted to focus, and pulled herself to her feet, it didn't seem to matter. A feeling of sickness clung to her, mind and body. Although she didn't have any signal anyway, Rebecca pulled out her phone, hoping to call in reinforcements from the other Taskers, but the thing was fried.

"Tha' fuck's going-" Rebecca muttered, as she pulled the Katana from the earth and took a step forward, only to stop at the feeling on something hitting her back. She wasn't the type to be startled, but in her current situation, there was no way to quell her pent up anxiety. So she spun around, expecting to see somebody, or some creature, but instead, was presented with nothing. Instead, the same thing occurred - still behind her. With a free hand she reached up around around her right shoulder, and grasped something. The hilt of a blade, wrapped in some kind of fabric.

Her confusion and worry was palpable, but she pushed it out of her mind, as she approached Aurelio.
"Hey, s-so, uh... Fuckin', you're Aurelio, right? Beacon member?" Rebecca asked, her voice doing a poor job of masking that she was shaken, "Ah haven't a fuckin' clue what's goin' on 'ere anymore... Listen, d'ya know if Alicia's here? Ah really need's ta' speak wit' her, so could you's pass on a message if ya find her first?"

As she spoke. she began to walk past him, onto the direction of the Crypt. In the distance, she could already see the chaos that was going on. For a moment, Rebecca had considered turning around and leaving, letting Aurelio make contact with Alicia, and completing the objective that way. But the more she thought about leaving this to happen, without even trying to help, the more the pressure in her head seemed to build. It was unbearable, almost. Something had happened to her - was, happening to her.

"Tell 'er that Rebecca Suthers needs an audience, aight? See you's." she called out, as she took off into a run towards the Crypt, in chase of Janet and Jenna, shadow stepping as she went.

School District 15

~ Out And About ~

Somewhere on the edge of School District 15, just near the border of Districts 9 and 7, the door of a non-descript convenience store swung shut. Stood by the entrance, clearly annoyed, was a school age girl, phone in hand. How the hell could he even keep track, she thought. Not even she could remember them all. Each day it was a new one, like some shitty advent calendar. She took a step out of the doorway, head down and focused on her phone, and threw herself onto a nearby bench. Her disregard for other pedestrians was blatant, highlighted by the density of students heading to the shopping areas, though only in a "I'm not in the mood for other people" kind of way.

A sigh of resignation escaped Kyoko's lips. At the very least, it wasn't one of those stores that refused to serve even her friends, just by proxy. There were a few of those - even from her seat, spying from her periphery, she could see a few in the distance. Yo would get what she wanted, and they could finish up their evening in relative peace. As much as it frustrated her to have someone with a mental catalogue of where she was banned from, it did make choosing locations that much easier - even if it was a bit creepy.

From the street and its nearby shops, she turned her attention back onto the phone. Even in just the short span of time she had been looking away, multiple new messages had already been sent. That was one of the, if minuscule, benefits of letting someone else buy things: she had some down time to talk. Much of the group was online already, with students leaving their respective institutes en masse. The picture channel Shusui had setup a while back was alight, and even Satoshi was online - if not talking - which was a surprise in and of itself. The only person not around was Yo, but with him in the store, that wasn't much of surprise.

"Catch." a voice called out from the side, drawing Kyoko's attention from her typing. Without looking, she sent a quick "brb", and locked the device, only to look up and meet the gaze of the young man that had spoken to her. He gave a smile, and the bottle of Dk Pepper he held in his left hand vanished, only reappeared just above her in the air. As much as the boy enjoyed his trick, the initial surprise it had held had worn off a long time ago; without a second thought, she grabbed it out of the air, and twisted off the lid.
"You need a new trick." Kyoko idly returned, as she lifted the bottle and drank, "How much?"

"Now that's rude, I bet you don't even remember what being at Level 2 feels like." he replied, dropped a plastic bag onto the bench, and took a seat beside her "But it's on me today."

She withdrew the bottle, and replaced the lid, before setting it aside. The boy named Xx_Mr.Owl_xX, now that he was sat, was already looking through the messages that had been sent in his absence. Even with the two of them sat together, their attention couldn't help being drawn to the Discord group and their other friends, she thought. But then again, his face as he silently read through was pretty priceless. Lid off, and battle raised, she took another drink.
"I've been gone for like twenty minutes!" he shouted, forcing Kyoko to stifle laughter lest she choke on the beverage, "Well at least I've got Satoshi keeping order and talking about normal stuff. Like murders."

His sarcasm wasn't lost on her.
"Kill some people of your own then, and maybe we'll talk about that. Make the change you want to see!" she shouted back. With the smile and glare he gave back, she stood up from the bench, "It's just murders. Probably Skill-Out infighting or something - if Anti-Skill doesn't take care of it, some hapless vigilante will do; keep trudging along, head held high.

"Bit pessimistic."

"You can only get banned from so many shops before it takes a heavy toll, Yo. We're at the point of no return now."

"Yo" gave a slight chuckle. The rustle of plastic accompanied his arise from the bench alongside her, some student foot traffic shifting to the other side of the pavement as the two of them obstructed the path.
"Well, I've got about an hour before I should head on back. Arcade?" he asked, as he pulled a bag of crisps from the bag and handed them off to Kyoko, before taking his own bag out.

"Nah. We haven't been shopping together in a while, y'know?" she tore open the package.

"Because I'm a Level 2 and have no money?"

"Then I'll buy," in response to the offer, a look of doubt crossed Yo's face, "What? I have money. Just take the damn invitation and let's get moving." His doubt turned to resignation, as his compatriot grabbed his upper arm and pulled him along into the mob of students, towards whatever shopping mall they could find first - that actually let her inside.
As discussed with Charak, my character is done.

Didn't even realise I got tagged on this. Guess it got edited into the message.

Been a while since I've been in a Toaru themed RP, but I've been in a pretty big Urban Supernatural Fantasy mood, what with the new Boogiepop adaptation. How you looking in terms of players? Still got some room?

~ The Gravity of the Situation ~

"Fuckin', would y'at'least warn me before you's do shit like that again?!" Rebecca shouted to her Stone Magical Girl compatriot as they flew against the floor of the Overcity, using her sword stabbed into the ground as a quick and easy way to slow down. Being crushed, beating eaten, being launched across the world, her day was just getting better by the second. She scarcely had time to recognise the other girls that they had happened upon, before another shift occurred. The Boss had talked about the Overcity a bit, same with some of the members who had the ability to shift in the first place, but arriving in a different place than she had started still disoriented her.

She took a second to look around, checking the other Magical Girls and Boy she would have to fight with, aiming to recognise some. Aurelio - an Empath with Beacon, she had heard - as well as the Twin Soul, who the Informants still had barely reported on. And that girl, Lily, who the Surveyors claimed showed up nearly everywhere there was something going down. Rebecca wasn't versed on their abilities, but at the very least they had numbers, disregarding the cultist mooks.

With a sigh, she, with a bit of difficulty, wiped some of the tar from her hands and blade, and prepared for combat. Except for the one issue she quickly noticed.
"Right you's are 'avin a fuckin' laugh, aye?" she called out to the rest of the Mahou, staring up at the sky, Abigail, the Mana Beast, and the veritable meteors that were being hurled, "How in the fuck d'you's expect to kill 'er when she's in tha' fuckin' sky?!"

Casting a glance about, Rebecca began to resent her luck. With a sword and zero capacity for flight, how in the hell was she to get up there? She looked at Shannon, taunting the enemy, and wrote her off as "soon to be dead". She looked at Lily, doing Lily things. And then she looked at Aurelio, using the mist to cast his enhancement spells. Then she looked at the beam of mist the creature was firing at Abigail, and had an epiphany. The whole area was dark - curtsy of the fog veil that covered the graveyard. In the nooks and crannies of the graves, and far above in the air, where the light of Lily's death lightning and the glow of the Mana Beast couldn't reach, Rebecca had an opening.

Bolstered by Aurelio's aura of hope, she ran to the side of the field, where the Tar Baby had just been crushed. Among the debris of destroyed monster and gravestones, with the light of Lily's Killing Blow illuminating the field, a deep shadow was cast. As soon as she had come across a good spot, Rebecca sunk into it, and began the first of what would become numerous, consecutive shadow steps. With her skill and mana capacity, it wasn't a good idea to perform long distance jumps, but she could maintain a steady stream of short steps for a fair distance.

So she dashed from shadow to shadow, along the outskirts of the graveyard, hugging close to the fog veil and up into the air through the darkness. By the time Lily's Killing Blow had reached its mark, Rebecca would be in place - much higher in the air than she had originally anticipated, but she had faith. As far as she could tell it was probably the lingering effects of Aurelio's enhancement, though that didn't change the feeling. She knew she would survive the fall.

With the thought in mind she launched herself out of the shadows, sword outstretched, and aiming for the bubble on the back of the Mana Beast. With gravity as her ally, and the last remnants of her mana dredged together into her blade in the form of a lifedraining curse, she plunged downwards. With any luck, she would puncture the bubble, and using her remaining momentum, tear the Mana Beast open from behind, spray its mist across the entire battlefield.

~ Sticky Situations ~

"Argh, ya fuckin' kidding me!" Rebecca shouted, withdrawing her face from the tar spray, whilst simultaneously struggling with her blade. She had always lacked strength, but in all her time as a Magical Girl, it had never come back to bite her as badly as it had done now. With both her sword and hands effectively glued together in the thing, her number of strategies had suddenly become incredibly limited.

She attempted to twist her body in a certain way, to drag the blade with the uncomfortable position she would create and cleave through the thing to free herself, but as she did, the ground beneath her collapsed. The start of her manoeuvre crushed her into the body of the beast alongside the rubble of the graveyard, filling her mouth with dirt as she attempted to shout curses at whatever had just put her in the literal grave.

Unable to move, even less than before, Rebecca had but one option. She couldn't see, or hear, or taste anything but dirt, or feel anything but pain and tar, but she could cast spells. Her hands were still gripped to the sword. The Tar Baby launched them both out of the tomb Shannon had made, allowing it to crawl along her body even more, keeping the pain going from being crushed, but there was little time to worry about that.

Instead, within the tar beings huge form, her blade began to glow once again, as Rebecca dumped her mana into a continuous stream of life draining curses. Her magical abilities weren't great, and her capacity and output were limited, but at the very least, she could weaken it a bit.
"Oi, whoeva the fucks down there!" she shouted, hoping Shannon would be able to hear, "Do you's wanna fuckin' help, or are ya' gonna keep jerkin' off while the cunt eats us both?!"

~ Joyce ~

Keeping a close eye on Silhouette, Katelyn prepared her assault. She had watched the two fight, if only for a little bit, but even such a short time was enough to glean that Silhouette was a skilled close range fighter - easily better at the art than Shona. A one on one between the knight and assassin had an obvious victor. But with Katelyn introduced, combining her magic and skill with Shona's own, she had fair amount of hope that the two of them could bring the tide to their favour.

She barely caught the glare Shona stared back at her with. In the periphery of her vision, near enough unnoticed, Katelyn saw Shona ready her magic, and heard the words she wasn't prepared to hear. They weren't just insults - they were a threat. A threat she almost didn't notice, let alone react to. Instinct demanded the draw of her attention, snapping her head to face the knight as she charged. The one Beacon Buddy she hadn't had the opportunity to fight. The ally strategy had shattered in seconds.

"Where are you looking, Katy~?"

A voice she hadn't heard in so, so long, rang in Katelyn's head again. The sickly sweet, taunting words of Joyce, with her magic and her staff. Laughing at her from across the training field for spacing out again. Vanishing from one point, only to appear right in front of her, kick out her legs, and grab her by the hand before she fell to the dirt.

"No no, we can't have that~! Someone's gonna take advantage of your cuteness if you don't pay attention~"

She didn't have to be told a second time. Katelyn's offensive stance dropped instantly her reflexes took over, spinning the spear into a defensive position as she kicked back from the attack. From the look of the fight, it was obvious who that she the fastest of the three, but in the seconds between the attack beginning and when it would invariably connect, there was no time to charge The Dragon's Wings. Her wings flapped a small amount, bolstered by her magic, creating a gust of wind enough to lift her from the ground.

Shona was a close range fighter, her sword and shield made that obvious. How high she could climb with those barriers was a question Katelyn couldn't answer, but at the very least, climbing up to her position above the battlefield would reduce Shona's mobility by a little bit. That was all she needed.
"Some Beacon member." Katelyn spat back, with words laced in a venom equal to Shona's own, built up over years of anger, "Your people were willing to let Janet Howell live, but here you are protecting the scum of the Ebon Mint."

Arcs of electricity lashed out from her body, down the spear, and into the air, as she raised her weapon in Shona's direction, preparing to attack.
"Fine... I'll kill you both then." she said, her tone dying down to a cold, toxic acceptance, before the electrical energy built to a crescendo. Another explosive boom echoed out across the mausoleum, as Katelyn loosed a second railgun shot, aimed to demolish Shona's defences, and kill her swiftly.
