Remember kids, never let anyone convince you to take college physics over the summer! :'D
@PandaBrady I'll try to get a post up on thursday or friday. And is there and option to make more characters? Like so that we have a full team of 8? Or do you want to make all the other characters?
Pendulum; although claiming her real name is Fubuki Weiss, she chooses to be called Pendulum, or Penn, after her weapon.
Age
Penn in only eighteen years old, a little young compared to her fellow Turk allies.
Date of Birth
September 6, εγλ 1983
Gender
Female
Height
Penn is exactly five feet tall, making her pretty short in comparison to those around her. There are even times when fellow Turks tease her about her height, or call her "Short-Stack", to get a reaction.
Weight
Weighing 102 pounds, she has a habit of being thrown around in battle...
Hair Color
Penn has natural ombre hair, as it goes from silvery white at the roots, a light pinkish purple down the middle, and then to a soft icy blue at the ends. As her hair grows out, it slowly changes color, resulting in the gradient ombre. Her hair is often curly, stopping at her bottom and she keeps her front bangs instead of parting it to the side.
Eye Color
Penn's natural eye color is blue, but she does need to wear either glasses or contacts in order to see properly. The contacts make her eyes significantly lighter, while she wears baby blue framed square glasses when outside of battle.
Written Description
Pendulum is a petite young girl, standing at five feet exactly and weighing about one hundred pounds give or take. She has curly ombre hair that's usually left out when not on missions and blue eyes that change color depending on if she's wearing contacts or glasses. Her skin is surprisingly smooth and silky, void of any knicks or battle scars. Her casual wears often consists of a knee length short sleeved periwinkle dress with white flats, and a black shoal with a bow in the front.
When on duty, Penn wears the standard Turk uniform, a navy blue suit with dark low heels and her hair tied into a high ponytail with a dark band. Her pendulums are often hidden in her sleeves.
Personality
When first meeting Pendulum, she seems to have a cold, aloof personality based off of her appearance. She appears to have a distant attitude around everyone except for those she's seen on a day to day basis...that is until you get close enough to actually talk to her. The true Penn is a very crude, violent, arrogant, and aggressive person. Having an attitude reminiscent of a teenage delinquent, Penn tends to come off as very anti-heroic, if not downright evil. This problematic behavior goes all the way back to her early childhood days and having to cope with being mostly deaf in both ears. Uncomfortably brutal at times, Penn smiles eerily when finding herself in the middle of a battle. Her personality reflects her fighting style when alone: mercilessly assaulting the opponent with pendulums and having no regard for anything other than the enemies around her. Despite this, she's quite talented in fighting, using her pendulums in various ways besides attacking. She's also very intelligent, being capable of strategic planning and investigating, to the point that some even consider her a prodigy among Turks. While not the most mentally stable fighter, despite having the image of one, she knows who her enemies and allies are. Cold to her allies, but colder to her enemies. She's also very rude and foul-mouthed, which makes her hard to approach; with the help of other Turks, her aggressive outbursts become less aggressive. With that in mind, Penn knows when to be mature, although is still quite aloof and unsociable, showing disinterest in hanging out with her fellow allies, even when she wants to. Due to the constant praise of her abilities, Pendulum has a superiority complex and wants to be first and the best at everything. She doesn't like when people look down on her, as if they were superior; thus, it diminishes her already short fuse. Because of this complex, she's implied to be anti-social; she seems not to care for much people. Penn is also immensely prideful, as she hates the idea of others either helping her or her having to rely on others to assist her in battle. Because of her pride, Penn refuses to work together with others claiming she can do whatever she's assigned on her own. However, she will repay those who help her. She likes napping, drinking tea, and anything cute. She dislikes loud sounds, the smell of oil, and cheese, and has the habit of talking to herself, watching her pendulum absently, and she easily becomes distressed and even cries randomly due to bottled up emotions leaking out. This also leads to uncontrollable shaking from time to time.
Background
Pendulum remembers only small parts of her past, back when she was still Fubuki Weiss. She remembered that she was one of the many people that lived in Midgar's slums as an orphan; except she was a little different. Instead of banding together with others to survive, she was all alone. For one, her appearance shied away those that tried to approach her. She always had a hard time seeing, and was never able to understand those around her, never obtaining the human interaction that most needed to remain sane. Fubuki remembers being bullied, even those in the slums beating her down, forcing her to steal food, and spitting at her when she 'ignored' them...all of it was forever etched into her mind resulting in the occasional trembling fits she has to this day.
Fortunately, their efforts gave hope to Fubuki, as one day during her 'errands', stood face to face with an open book next to one of the merchants' booths. She knew she was only suppose to get necessities, but she couldn't possibly pass this up. So she stole the book and took it back to the slums, her eyes squinting just see the pictures displayed in the book.
This book lead to Fubuki's interest in the Delacriox Family. She didn't know what they did exactly, but their symbol, followed by the picture of a woman praying to the wings of a bird were etched into the girl's mind, giving her hope. She often drew these symbols in the dirt and picked up forgotten bird feathers to pray on them at night. It was the only thing that kept her believing that everything would be alright.
She had no idea how long she had been doing such things, but before she knew it, her wish had come true. She remembered military men walking through the slums, picking up every person they thought they could use (for what? Penn could only assume for the Genome experiments now thinking back on it), Fubuki being one of them. She could only watch in awe, remembering how hard she prayed and how many times she drew the symbol, only to see it etched onto the shield of the girls walking within the troops. Before she could even express her gratitude for giving her hope, the girl was whisked away.
Before the girl even knew it, a few years had past and Fubuki Weiss was no more. Declining the offer to the SOLDIER program, Pendulum opted to work under the Turks, hoping to learn ore about the world in the process. With eyes and ears like her, she knew she couldn't be a SOLDIER, at least not at that time. She had to learn how to read, write, get an education, sign language, and at least understand basic lip movements.
Weapon
Pendulum's primary weapon is, if you couldn't guess, is dual pendulums. She usually has the ends of the pendulums wrapped around her finger or wrist to use them more freely. It has extreme range (3.5 m), being useful in mostly mid and long range attacks. She usually alternates between three different types of pendulums (using two at the same time), each one holding materia within it.

Limit Break
When pushed to the edge, Pendulum unleashes her Limit Break, Frozen Hell. The move first begins with Penn uncontrollably shaking, her eyes roll to he back of her head, and her head tilting back as if looking up at the sky. She opens her mouth, only to release a bloodcurdling scream. Pendulum chains made of ice shoot out of her body, causing her to scream louder in pain. Chains shoot out in all directions, preventing enemies (and even some allies) from escaping; if they're unlucky and touch said chains, the person in question is inflicted with freeze. Once the chains connect to a hard surface, the area around Penn (exactly 10 feet to 20 feet depending on mood) erupts in a flurry of frozen icicles (a form of Blizzaga if that's okay), growing as tall as 20 feet. This lasts for 17 seconds and has the same effects as the chains, being able to freeze and physically hurt those who touch them. After her Limit Break, she is normally left unconscious. Her Limit actually does cause pain to her and is count as an AOE move.
Name
They go by Laphicet Kyrielight, but their friends and people in their fan club call them Laphi...so basically everyone calls them Laphi.
Age
Despite their youthful appearance, Laphi is twenty-one years old. Yeah, I know.
Date of Birth
January 17 εγλ 1980
Gender
Although being biologically male, they identify as genderfluid and usually sticks with non-binary and sometimes male pronouns.
Height
Laphicet stands at a below average five feet and four inches.
Weight
127 lbs
Hair Color
Laphicet originally had blonde hair, but since going through the SOLDIER experiment, their hair has faded to a light purplish white. It's semi long in length and stops just above their shoulders. Another side effect of the experiment would be Laphi's "fake ears" which are the same color as their hair. The horns on their head, however, are a stark purple color.
Written Description
Laphicet is a below average biological male with a fragile build as they stand only a few inches above five feet. They have semi long light purple white hair that stops just above their shoulders and milky white skin. Before becoming a SOLDIER, Laphicet had ruby red eyes. In terms of casual clothing, Laphicet is know for wearing clothing that those in their fan club send them so it could be almost anything, really. However, when it comes to their unique SOLDIER uniform, Laphicet wears a sleeveless white and red turtleneck jacket, dark colored shorts that stop just above their knees, and dark shoes. Bandages wrap around their elbows to their fingertips and all of their shins. These parts usually had some piece of light armor over top them, including a thin breastplate that goes underneath their jacket. Laphicet's signature yin and yang chakrams hang off the loops attached to the sides of their jacket.
Due to accepting Fenrir's DNA, Laphi's hair changed colors, and it sticks up in two sections, giving off the impression that they have animal ears; these parts of their hair are pretty sensitive too. They also have stark purple horns that stick out from just under their "animal ears", only sticking an inch or two out of their hair.
Personality
Laphicet is very nice, but they also has a very meek and timid personality. They tend to be very shy and apologizes a lot; it's easy to intimidate them to the point of tears. However, they also love to talk to those that are willing to look past their meek nature, and becomes much more lively whenever they're given a chance to speak up. Laphi is probably one of the kindest and softest 1st class SOLDIER you'll ever meet, as they literally wouldn't hurt something so long as said something doesn't deserve it. They have a deep deep disdain for disputes occurring between friends or allies, often trying to stop them once they start.
Unfortunately, Laphicet also had a deep-rooted complex over being looked down on by others as being "weak". This happened as a result of memories and experiences from their childhood where they were frequently bullied and told to act tougher due to them being rather frail for a boy, resulting in their now gender-fluidity. By doing such, they were able to feel more comfortable about what they lacked and was finally able to ignore all the negatives that people threw at them; although there are times when specific gender comments strike a chord in Laphi, this being the only thing that can get him particularly angry. Though they try to hide it, they get uncomfortable when others treat them as a girl and sometimes a boy, and they would rather spend time with other boys instead of girls. They greatly admire men who are physically strong and they wish they could be like them at times.
Laphi likes to cook, bake and read books, but dislikes natural disasters, fighting, and bloodshed; hence why they are more of a support based fighter. They also go completely bonkers when they see anything chocobo related. When it comes to Laphi's fan club, they are very open with them and loves to interact with them, even accepting gifts.
Background
Laphicet was much like any other farmer boy, working under his adopted grandfather who found him abandoned at said farm when he was only three. Due to his fragile build and weak body, he was originally kept away from the chocobos due to the possibility of getting trampled by them. It was only when he turned seven that his grandfather deemed it was safe for him to start helping out. Laphicet was absolutely enamored with the feathered being, tending to them every chance he got; he even slept with them in the stables if he was sneaky enough.
When he wasn't playing and helping out with the chocobos, Laphi listened on to visitor's conversations and made small talk with the younger visitors. All they would talk about is becoming a SOLDIER, fan clubs, and who was stronger compared to the other, most of which had no real meaning to the boy. However, slowly, but surely, as more and more kids brought up SOLDIERs, Laphi knew he had to work hard and become of them, for the sake of his real parents and grandfather; he also knew that if he became a SOLDIER he would be famous in a way, and his parenta would be bound to hear his name and come looking for him.
This new drive slowly lead to Laphicet focusing more on his studies, but it also gave way to the worse year of his life. Now thirteen years old, Laphicet noticed how boy like him were a lot taller than him, and had more toned muscles, and deeper voices while he just stayed the same. He would often get picked on by his so-called friends for looking and sounding like a girl. His grandfather told him that he was bound to start changing any day, but four years later and nothing. This lead to Laphicet changing their gender identity to genderfuild, remaining as such for the rest of their life.
Only a few months after accepting their new gender identity, Laphi was accepted into the SOLDIER program and despite having very decent fighting capabilities, what actually got them to 1st class would have to be their excellent support in battle. Laphi knew how to tend to those around them, and this carried to the battlefield, giving them the alias of the SOLDIER's Backbone, one that remains loyal to this very day.

Limit Break
Laphicet's Limit Break is known as Garden of Eden. When Laphicet is brought to the brink of death, they cross their arms and throw their chakrams in front of them, the weapons circling around them and their party members. The chakrams emit a green light, one that casts Cura and eliminates all status effects the party is under.
@Letter Bee No, it was more of him losing his brother's photo that he always keeps with him that's making him overreact and twist what Samuru originally said.
-- August 1st, 2015 || Morning || Sadaomi Beach --
The white boy hurried over to Rui and his friend Megumi, only letting his facial expression drop once he knew he was far enough away from Samuru that he wouldn't notice the sudden change. Despite how hot it was outside and that he was also wearing a hoodie, Kanna felt a little cold. He did manage to put on a brave face in front of the dark haired teen, but there was definitely strain hidden under the shaded features his hoodie graced him with. Samuru was being nice and patient with him, but he flat out said that they weren't really friends. It was heartbreaking to say the least, and made the boy honestly want to cry, but he knew that if he did that, it would probably only guilt trip Samuru into lying to make him feel better. Kanna couldn't help but feel a little alone at this point. He was at the beach, with mostly strangers, if not acquaintances, that he could barely even talk to without stuttering or shying away...he felt so alone.
Kanna placed his hands into his pockets and slowed down to a steady walk once he was close enough, fiddling with his brother's picture in his...Kanna came to stop, sliding under the shade for a quick second to give his skin a break...or at least, that's what he made himself think to hide the panic that the picture that he was almost positive he left in his hoodie pocket mere minutes ago was now gone. Kanna felt like he was about to physically be sick. His hands started to shake and he could hear his heart beating in his ears.
He almost didn't notice Kotori taking a spot in the shade near him, as he was checking his pockets three times over. Nothing...nothing. Nothing... It was only when the older girl spoke up, that Kanna physically flinched and lowered his head. Geez, why did he always get like this? Kotori isn't scary...she's nice...she's nice...she's...n-nice. Kanna took a deep breath and shook his head before looking around where he was sitting. Nothing again. Kanna was once the verge of a panic attack as he started to scratch his arms under his sleeves. It wasn't like he could ask any of them for help either after what Samuru told him, so what?
Wh-Where could it be?
What should he do?
Kanna drew a complete blank until Samuru's voice cut through his hazy mind, causing him to look up so fast, he could have snapped his neck off if he put any more force into it. The other wanted to know how he was feeling, huh...he was apologetic for scaring him, huh...while the apology was very sweet, Kanna wasn't in the right mindset to speak rationally about anything. So instead of answering the dark haired male, Kanna's eyes went back to Kotori of all people, hoping she could help him, before lowering his head and pulling his knees up to rest his head on them. He didn't want to appear rude to Samuru, but he had no idea how to ask for help from those that might never be his friends...

Limit Break
When pushed to the edge, Pendulum unleashes her Limit Break, Frozen Hell. The move first begins with Penn uncontrollably shaking, her eyes roll to he back of her head, and her head tilting back as if looking up at the sky. She opens her mouth, only to release a bloody curdling scream. Pendulum chains made of ice shoot out of her body, causing her to scream louder in pain. Chains shoot out in all directions, prevent enemies (and even some allies) from escaping; if they're unlucky they might get impaled by said chains. Once the chains connect to a hard surface, the area around Penn (exactly .5 miles to 1 mile depending on mood) erupts in a flurry of frozen icicles, growing as tall as 20 feet. This lasts for 35 seconds. After her Limit Break, she is sometimes left unconscious being held up by the chains, or screaming in pain for the same reason.
Tail stiffening as her pale fingers were glazed over in a light frost, the girl continued her icy assault, her clear eyes darting from place to place in order to avoid any monsters sneaking up on her. Well, it wasn't necessarily something she had to worry about, per se, as it looked like the man from before was taking care of a few on his own. That's right, she shouldn't have told him to run like that; if anything he's already proved how capable he is when he helped defeat the Horned Guard. She knew she had to repay the man for helping her out earlier, but now was not the time to be thinking about something like that. Getting out alive was what mattered the most.
Unfortunately, as he girl let her mind wander for a brief moment, she failed to notice more monsters take the places of the ones that she defeated. Okay...this was getting a little overwhelming at this point...and what if that huge beast from before catches up? They really needed to get going, but how could they do so if the enemies they defeated earlier are being replaced by more the longer they stay?
It was clear that the others were thinking the exact same; the black and white man was rushing them, and the quadruped was crying out. Letting out a distressed noise herself, the girl slowly began to back up, now only shooting spurts of ice at the new enemies, hoping it would be enough to slow them down and increase the percentage of their escape.
The girl's ears twitched at the sound of the familiar bird flying away in the distance. Good, she could still hear it, which probably meant it wasn't too far away; they still had a chance. She gave a quick glance to determine which direction the bird was going and if she could possibly see it among all this chaos, but she was instead met with the sight of the quadruped running straight for her, baring all his teeth.
Unable to keep a calm composure after seeing something like that, the girl let out a squeak, causing her to drop her orb with wide eyes; luckily the orb dissipated into nothing before it touched the ground. Was that animal actually feral? But it had to be one of them, right? It just had to be! So why was running after her like that?! To scared to moved, the girl closed her eyes tightly, expecting the worse, only to open them quickly when she felt something snag on her hood. In a matter of seconds, the girl was whisked away by the beast's teeth only hanging on by her hoodie. If her expression didn't show how frightened she was, her childlike voice gave it away in an instant, as she let out a startled cry, unable to do anything to get out of this predicament...
Emilia smiled gratefully, happy that this man wasn't as scary as he appeared. Bringing her attention back to the girl with the bracelets, Emilia couldn't help but force a sigh out of her body regardless of how uncomfortable it felt. She says that baggage is an excuse...if that's the case then she hasn't truly experienced what pain is...and what's with all this True Seer stuff? Was she suppose to know what that was? Well, yes, her soul was a rare purple (although not as rare as rainbow), but that didn't give her any reason to treat her special, right?
Before she had a chance to stick up for her brother more, the teacher stopped her, diffusing the conversation in only a few sentences. Turning back to the girl, Emilia lowered her gaze before rolling her eyes. "...Yeah, sure...whatever..." The girl mumbled, turning her attention back to her brother who had yet to raise his head. "Hey...it's okay now...you don't have to worry about it any more, alright?" She whispered while giving him a small smile. The ruby eyed doll turned to look at the girl next to him and nodded, although his expression remained sour. He continued to look down, which only seemed to worry Emilia even more.
Fei...his soul is very different compared to others. It's not like Tempest who had a rainbow color, but instead, he had multiple different colored souls depending on his mood. Yellow for happy, blue for sad, and so on. So for Emilia to see her brother's soul turn black and blue, she feared that it would take a while for him to open up again...
