Bio

I have been writing as a hobby for longer than you have been alive. I have been a regular member and roleplayer of no less than fourteen different online forums during that time (including the old RPG), five six eight of which no longer exist.

I was previously a regular on the Homestuck forums, but I became so sick of thread turnover there that I asked around and eventually found the Guild. Since joining, I have exclusively only participated in Advanced RPs. Before Mahz gave NRPs their own subforum, I used to be an NRP regular in the Advanced Subforum. I am a Guildfall survivor, and know/regularly write with a few others.

If you ask anybody who has written with me in previous RPs, they should tell you that I have a generally open schedule, I post regularly and in a timely fashion, and I never drop an RP once I join unless the thread dies. Some of them may tell you that I have extensive expertise within the realms of Biology, Psychology, and Physics, which I will make no effort to validate since there is no way I can provide hard proof of aforementioned alleged expertise to anybody over the internet (though I am happy to try and answer any questions you send my way).

My favorite fandom is the Myst franchise, which seemingly nobody other than me has ever heard of.

I was a Contest Moderator for the Writing Contests Subforum for just a little bit over two years. I wrote the Moderation Policy for that subforum and I ran a contest called the Twelve Labours; you can still go there and see all of them and the entries people wrote for them in the Contests Section and the Victory Archives.

I have been quadruple secret banned from the guild discord. That is not a joke.

Science please.
"All deaths are final. Ensure they do not return, and ensure they are not made a martyr of except perhaps against their will."

I'm assuming a visit from the afterlife is also a no-go then?

Correct. I presume the revolving door jammed or something.

@PlatinumSkink - I sent a pm to Mahz at the start of the contest, so it may just be they've been busy the past few days.
Unlikely. If they had agents embedded that deeply in the Guild, they would not have needed to send in Walkins. Also, why their really powerful summoners could POSSIBLY get that little 'nothing to see here' trick going on, they wouldn't be able to sustain it - one of the Bandmasters or the Senior Elites would notice eventually.

Then again I suppose our characters don't know that.
Here's another clever idea.

How about we all head approximately twenty meters North and go inside the Guildhouse?

Oh.

Well, Drake is likely outside, literally right next to us. He was in the bar with us. We don't have to look far. A mini-mission is probably unnecessary, and thank Mot because Alan and Kuro? Without sufficient attending witnesses to dissuade him, Kuro would probably try and break Alan's arms and then dismantle his fancy gold and silver metal plated pistols the next time he draws them without actually firing them immediately.

EDIT: Also it occurs to me we were initially promised an opportunity for all our characters to get their affairs in order before actually leaving for the mission proper.
Speaking of your next post. @Whoami, are you still around?
Helen raises a good point. We can't go to her clinic - where does everyone withdraw to?
Can one join as many or as few of these challenges as they want?

Because

I've already done that, kill off a main character or favourite character. I often have a main story and then several stand-alone side stories/alternate universe stories and people have died in such side stories. So my biggest problem isn't the task itself, but inspiration for a new story with one of my favourite characters in which that happens >_< I've been going over options, but nothing decent so far.

You can join as many or as few of these challenges as you would like. I can tell you there definitely will be at least one challenge in the future that will make you have to do something you've never done before.

Also, just as a general comment not directed at anyone: There may be an ulterior reason to participate in all twelve labours.
I do believe I'll try my hand at this.

Finding a favourite character was tough, but now the real challenge lies ahead—I don't like to cheat myself out of a death, even if for but the duration of a contest. I must endeavour to formulate a death that both fits within the confines of the contest and the original narrative from which the character is borne.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be a challenge at all, amirite?

Just going to tackle you now before you go any further - from the way you phrased it (having a difficult time finding a favorite character), I feel a need to ask if you were just having picking between your own characters, or whether or not you were trying to find one elsewhere. Just to clarify in case you didn't already know, you can only use your own character/s for this challenge.

Sorry if you already knew that and I'm pouncing on you for nothing. I just want to make sure this issue is buried.
It's still not too late for Kuro to lob a grenade back into the building you know. :I
Fair enough. I'll see to it. Never mind that I already specify that it has to be your own character in three separate places in that very post, I suppose that segment is the bit everyone looks at in any case.

Also: Lloyd Irving? Eww. I'd kill that presumptuous snot in a heartbeat and without provocation.

*Pause*

In fact, I think I'd kill the entire Symphonia cast. Expect maybe Regal. And even then that's only because I couldn't be bothered.

EDIT: The first half of the prompt now says '...favorite character, whom is of your own making.'
