Bio

I have been writing as a hobby for longer than you have been alive. I have been a regular member and roleplayer of no less than fourteen different online forums during that time (including the old RPG), five six eight of which no longer exist.

I was previously a regular on the Homestuck forums, but I became so sick of thread turnover there that I asked around and eventually found the Guild. Since joining, I have exclusively only participated in Advanced RPs. Before Mahz gave NRPs their own subforum, I used to be an NRP regular in the Advanced Subforum. I am a Guildfall survivor, and know/regularly write with a few others.

If you ask anybody who has written with me in previous RPs, they should tell you that I have a generally open schedule, I post regularly and in a timely fashion, and I never drop an RP once I join unless the thread dies. Some of them may tell you that I have extensive expertise within the realms of Biology, Psychology, and Physics, which I will make no effort to validate since there is no way I can provide hard proof of aforementioned alleged expertise to anybody over the internet (though I am happy to try and answer any questions you send my way).

My favorite fandom is the Myst franchise, which seemingly nobody other than me has ever heard of.

I was a Contest Moderator for the Writing Contests Subforum for just a little bit over two years. I wrote the Moderation Policy for that subforum and I ran a contest called the Twelve Labours; you can still go there and see all of them and the entries people wrote for them in the Contests Section and the Victory Archives.

I have been quadruple secret banned from the guild discord. That is not a joke.

I have time, so expect Traction's fully editted fifth-edition wireless matrix profile to be up tomorrow. As an added note, I've removed the Rigging Aspects of her prior build in order to emphasize her Matrix abilities further, since the Wireless Matrix provides a lot more material to work with than the old one.
Ok then. I cannot post tomorrow due to scheduling issues, but expect a Federation post sometime this weekend.
The New Matrix is hellishly more complex than the old one. I'm still reading stuff about how it operates, but I'll be prepared to edit Traction's profile by the end of the day,

Well to be fair they still use decks, so Traction might just be irritated with all the kids calling themselves 'hackers'.

One question I have to ask though, are we drawing more inspiration from 4th or 5th edition. I only ask because I have a mystic adept, who uses a bit of summoning and alchemy, that I've been dying to play. He really focuses on the adept side of things and I don't want to go handing out preparations if you'd rather avoid them.

It's fifth edition, which began on the 9th of January, and it is currently sometime in April. In regards to Deckers/Hackers, it looks like we're both right. Seems like it's a bit of an issue in-universe.

I'll have to update Traction's profile now that we're post Crash 2.0. I am looking forward to a Wireless Matrix though. Opens up so many possibilities.

The one downside: Now I have to call her a Hacker rather than a Decker. :(
Well, it's evident a lot of people are interested in this nonetheless. I don't suppose anybody else would be up for GMing a Shadowrun RP? I'd volunteer, but I'm not as familiar with the setting as a few of the other posters here are.
Just finished reading the interest check, OOC, and character sheets. Is there a desire for one more? I am familiar with the Shadowrun world (player and GM) and would like to introduce a character of mine I have played in many different setting. Combat medic type, former military, from a program that tried to effectively balance the capabilities of a healer geared mage with an augmented medic and failed, pesky essence and all. Needless to say the essence complications left many a program "volunteer" damaged.

Basically the character combines all the attributes and defects you would get from mixing an augmented military grade Corpsman and a mage focused on healing.

Let me know if there is a spot for consideration for a primary healer that can at least hold ground in a gunfight, plus it always help to have a knowledgeable person around when a team of runners has more than a few pieces of cyber and bioware that may need attention.

Just as a heads up, we do already have a combat medic. Having another one probably isn't a bad idea and I'm not opposed to it, I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the fact. They also have extensive experience with cyber and bioware augs, so we've got that covered too.
So reading through the RP, I now know I'm waiting on Terminal, since the captain of the assault carrier contacted Straylight.
Who in turn, seems to be waiting on others XD

Correct. I will post the instant @Clocktowerechos, @Queen Raidne, and @duck55223 post responses.
