Bio

I have been writing as a hobby for longer than you have been alive. I have been a regular member and roleplayer of no less than fourteen different online forums during that time (including the old RPG), five six eight of which no longer exist.

I was previously a regular on the Homestuck forums, but I became so sick of thread turnover there that I asked around and eventually found the Guild. Since joining, I have exclusively only participated in Advanced RPs. Before Mahz gave NRPs their own subforum, I used to be an NRP regular in the Advanced Subforum. I am a Guildfall survivor, and know/regularly write with a few others.

If you ask anybody who has written with me in previous RPs, they should tell you that I have a generally open schedule, I post regularly and in a timely fashion, and I never drop an RP once I join unless the thread dies. Some of them may tell you that I have extensive expertise within the realms of Biology, Psychology, and Physics, which I will make no effort to validate since there is no way I can provide hard proof of aforementioned alleged expertise to anybody over the internet (though I am happy to try and answer any questions you send my way).

My favorite fandom is the Myst franchise, which seemingly nobody other than me has ever heard of.

I was a Contest Moderator for the Writing Contests Subforum for just a little bit over two years. I wrote the Moderation Policy for that subforum and I ran a contest called the Twelve Labours; you can still go there and see all of them and the entries people wrote for them in the Contests Section and the Victory Archives.

I have been quadruple secret banned from the guild discord. That is not a joke.

Whoah. Not entirely sure how that happened. I should have said the 13th.
Just a basic reiteration: The RP Officially Starts Today.

When? I have some things on my schedule for most of the Early day. So expect the thread to be up around the afternoon or evening (Most of the Introductory post is already written, I'm just sort of busy today. Go figure.).

Before I post the IC, I will go back through the thread , rereview, and accept anybody with a sufficiently filled out nation sheet.

I will also be posting the MAP, along with a LEGEND and a PRIMER. @Nilesapa, I have thought about what you said and have rethought my initial approach. I believe your concerns have been adequately addressed. Caveat emptor.

@The Grey Warden, I will permit you to select your own location on the map after it is posted. Be aware, future applicants - as well as those who simply have not yet had time to complete their nation sheets - will be placed as they come. Which means any of them might and can be placed next to you after you have placed yourself. Otherwise known as Letting You Live With Your Choice. True Vacuum Shenanigans ho.

That is all for now. I'll be back again later today.
Hey terminal, I got a idea.

What if people can PM you planets/star systems that get displaced that have no faction affiliations you place pseudo-randomly (I.e using GM Judgement) around your map? Maybe even mark them with a ? and only reveal the nature of said planet/star system when a player warps to the mystery system. You might get some cryptic alien ruins, a planet where it rains polymers and has regions where plastics cover the surface, planets with really eldritch mega fauna and so on. With the creativity of all the players this RP has attracted there's no telling what someone may stumble upon.

Personally I think this RP could be all the more chaotic is all we get are displaced player territories and some odd planets / star systems + Your aforementioned anomalies scattered about as "neutral" territory in this new universe. Just think, civilizations that were used to probably having millions of star systems between their neighbors now thrust in a (relatively) resource scarce universe, if only due to the voids between the stars being huge, dwarfing that seen between stars in a spiral galaxy.

(Note my impression of this RP is that the true vacuum has displaced a whole universe, not galaxy of civilizations- so no one has any idea who anyone else is with one or two exceptions (even than, I could see terminal putting large distances between said players) I see as wholly plausibile, universes are huge!)

Entirely plausible and something I would be more than willing to do.

On that note, I think it's time for a general poll. Which of the following would everyone prefer?

1. Each individual poster places their nation along an x,y,z three dimensional coordinate grid,

2. I randomly place each individual nation, true vacuum style?

Alright, I'll clarify the scope of the faction.

Although I don't get what you mean by outlook?

Outlook:
Your nation was randomly gobbled up by an undetectable FTL phenomenon and displaced into an entirely new universe surrounded by completely unknown alien powers in a geopolitical landscape you know nothing about. Do you know what happened? Are there any theories flying around about what happened? What has been the general reaction of the public? What do your scientists and military specialists think? Describe in general how the move to the True Vacuum universe has influenced your nation.
Nation Sheet Template
@Kimiyosis, that all looks good, but could you add some details that give people a better understanding of the exact scope of your faction? Currently it's somewhat hard to gauge its 'size.' Also, I know that you've already said it's essentially all the same to them, but if you could comment at least briefly on their outlook that would be appreciated.

Once you do that, add it to the characters tab and you can consider yourself accepted. I'll add your name to the OP with a link to your app.

EDIT: In other news, I have decided that the official date for the start of the IC will be Monday, July 20th. Expect an IC opening post then.

Does this mean I can bring back the Abh?

If you like.

Well, already read that, but considering GNT was...well...a mobile 'nation' of the sorts....being transported like that makes...well...nothing of a difference internally for them.
Nothing's really changed for them.
So I was double checking to see if anything else I needed to notice

No, you should be good.

Anything different between Stellvia and Vaccum?

If not, I'm simply C&P'ing it :P

...You could say that.

Read the Opening Blurb and the premise. It might surprise you. :P
I was planning on sending a spoofed reformat device command to add a wireless boot option, turning the device back on remotely and then using it to probe nearby LAN/WANs, but apparently that's not necessary. I might turn it on to slip in a snoop program but that's just precautionary at this point.

But yeah, otherwise that was about as expected. I wasn't expecting a huge mindblowing payoff; Traction just really enjoys her work sometimes. ;) The 'mission' here is just to get more information on Zelda.
So..can I bring GNT back~?

@AbysmalDemon, Continue working on your nation sheet, but consider yourself accepted for the moment.
