In response to Karn, Jayce simply lifted his right arm up. "This."is all he says before lowering the arm. Taking a deep breath, he says: "Entire town just up and vannished. Entiore Fioran scouting party vanished. And, my arm vanished." Taking a seat in a chair and leaning back, he adds: "Whole reason I came here was to see if anything similar happened."

Jayce wasn't paying much attention to Karn at all, singlemindedly rifling through documents of missing persons, muttering various accounts aloud to himself. "...Year X794, couple missing never found until six years later...X754...X641...Nothing, nothing, nothing..." Holding his forehead, Jayce says: "Silver haze isn't even listed in here...Nothing about X886 at all." Quickly rifling through more files, Jayce comes up with the same results, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, and nothing. By the end of his search, Jayce was getting frustrated. Holding his forehead in his palm, he sighed. "...Nothing..." Nori was being surprisingly well-behaved after Jayce let her go, in the sense that she kept growling but didn't bite Karn. She was raising her extra web-spinning appendages menacingly though.

I honestly had a theme for Nori just for when she was doing shenanigans. Jayce's was just because GEB has a damn good soundtrack.

Jayce stared at Karn for a good minute before shrugging and just saying: "Alrighty then." and continuing to walk. "So...you made these holes? Huh. I don't think I want to ask what the hell was going on here then." Some more Nori growling ensued, before she got another flick on the nose. "...Weird...I dunno why she doesn't like you. She only does that to cats." Once they were actually in the library, Jayce darted off, holding the snarling dog in one hand as he started rifling through the volumes of the library, looking for an official documentation or reports of people just vanishing with no evidence left behind. Nori just kinda kept growling, keeping her red eyes trained on Karn the whole time.

Jayce looked over at Karn for a moment, before saying: "...Uh...alrighty then. Thought you said it was unstable though. Sure you'll be fine?" the last bit was asked with an actual bit of concern, which might have been drowned out by Nori's growling growing extremely loud as she snarled at Karn. The snarling earned her a flick on the nose from Jayce. "Bad dog."

Jayce hummed for a moment, while Nori just kept flailing and growling in his grasp. Looking at the building for about sixteen was all he needed before he simply said: "Don't care." and brushed off the blonde guy's warning. Resuming his pace, he turned his glance over his shoulder. "Not like it matters. Could lift a collapsing building no problem anyways. I just need to see the library." he said, almost trying to reassure the two strangers. Nori was really, really trying to resist all her primal urges to bite Jayce's hand and just go after Karn...but she'd learned the hard way that biting metal hands is a good way to crack a tooth open. She kept growling though, the furry appendages on her back writhing slightly.

Jayce began to gently push his way through the crowds, uttering many "Excuse me's" and "Pardon's", Nori following close behind to give him some breathing room. Once he was in front of the crowd, he simply just kept walking towards the building, while Nori glanced over to the two outliers of the crowd, the two ahead. And she started growling, deep and low at the blonde kid. She didn't know why, really, but she kept growling as she approached. Jayce, taking notice, picked Nori up by the scruff of her neck with his artificial arm, saying: "Nori, c'mon, that's not polite. Besides, we don't want another incident like the one with that...Exceed chase." Nori nodded softly, but kept her eyes narrowed on Karn.

"...So...this is Kabo." Jayce said outloud as he stepped out from the vehicle he'd arrived in, the hum of the engine silencing as he disconnected the SE plug from his right arm. Flexing the wrist of his artificial arm, he opened the back seat up for the Black Beast caged within, Nori's glowing eyes radiating from within the shaded compartment. Bounding out, the dog, nearly as long as Jayce was tall barked suddenly, before returning to his side. Rubbing the dog's coat with his still-intact arm, Jayce says: "Sorry about the bumpy ride back there...shortcut wasn't as smooth as I thought." apologetically. The dog seemed pleased enough with the apology and started to follow along behind him as he walked into the town, the back of his coat gently blowing behind him with a gentle breeze. "...I really, really hope that Johannes' hunch was right about this...C'mon Nori, we got some investigating to do." he said, calling the last bit to the dog who was lagging behind. Walking along Jayce didn't really pay any mind to the townspeople. Not like he was there to sight-see, nor was he there for work. No, he came for one reason only, and that reason wasn't all that hard to find. The Magic Council's Building. Needless to say, Jayce headed towards it as soon as he could see it, Nori following close behind him.
