Jayce/Location: Cliff Overlooking the Capital

Jayce had been running to the cliff the entire time during the fight, and was already a quarter of the way there, deciding it'd be best to approach from the west side of the cliff, steadying his breath as he climbed at a quick pace. The strength of his artificial arm served him well, in that he could basically lunge himself up the cliff, provided a stable enough point to grab onto. With one lunge after another up the cliffside, he ascended, starting to wonder if this was even the right one.

"...Hope Penny and her friends can handle that guy. I'll do what I can here and head back as fast I can-" before he could finish thinking, he heard the sound of roaring thunder back over by the city. Eyes widened as he realized there wasn't a cloud in sight, he quickened his pace, nearly slipping a few times before he was hanging onto the edge of the cliff. Peeking over, he steadied himself on his left arm's elbow on the ground and tried to see if this was even the right place to be. Seeing the cannon, he knew it was, and quickly scanned around for anybody who would be guarding the cannon.

Torie's mental state (And drool output) hadn't changed at all since they left the guild hall, to the point that there was a Barrier-magic bucket on his lap that was already half-full. Aside from the occasional muttering of how big the payout would be, Torie said little as they rode along, to the point that the driver was probably thinking that he was comatose. Or a vegetable. Or just an idiot.

Probably just an idiot. A bit into the ride, he finally snapped out of his money coma, and nearly spilt his drool bucket out onto the floor. Shaking his head slightly, he wiped his chin on his right sleeve, before wondering: "...How long was I drooling into that damn bucket?" Torie remained silent for a bit, before figuring that he hadn't really gotten the chance to break the ice with anybody he'd met today besides Luka, and even then that was just a short meet-n-greet. Turning to his side, he looked at the...person who turned into a cat to say: "I don't think I ever caught your name. I'm Torie, Torie Derringer."

Jayce/Location: Edolas

Jayce felt a smile tear at his lips once he'd seen Penny heat up the...guy he didn't know's sword. It was odd for him to think that even with their friends' counterparts that they could be in synch enough to pull something like that off. Turning his attention to Penny's friend, Jayce extended his artificial hand for a handshake, saying: "Right there with you...though I'm not sure if a guy with a robot arm is the right definition of normal.I'm all for finding a way out ASAP." All thoughts in Jayce's mind stopped as he heard the heavy wingbeats of a dozen beasts overhead, their shadows crossing over the world beneath. With a mixture of curiosity and anxiety, he remained silent as he watched the cannon touch down, the loud thud shaking his stomach. Staring at it, he couldn't help but think: "That...is one big gun..." as he watched one of the Flying things descend from the cliff. Jayce watched what ensued from then on, too far away to do anything. Clenching his right hand as the woman hit the wall, he started to feel his anger boil over, the metal encasing his fingers bending slightly from the sheer force of his grip on nothing. The man's speech alone was enough to earn Jayce's hatred, let alone his actions. "...Much as I want to sock him myself, if he can do that, I probably won't stand a chance. This'd be better for a ranged magic." he thought as he analyzed the situation. Looking up at the cliff for a good moment, Jayce's expression hardened, and he immediately started running full speed towards the cliff. "Not so good in fights...but damn am I good with machines." he said, a small smile reforming on his face.

Hello there! I'm a big-time Fairy Tail fan, and I've been looking for an RP that doesn't instantly die, but naturally the whole 'twelve thousand posts' thing is a wee bit intimidating. How might I go around getting involved in this story?

Lugubrious! How's it hanging? And, as for how to get involved: Nah, but seriously though, we've had about four or five new additions to the plot relatively quickly.

Jayce crossed his arms once he'd heard Penny's answer, mainly thinking: "Great. No plan. This'll be a fun day." Once she'd started walking, he followed along silently, trying to think up what combination would be the best for him to use for someone who didn't use magic. He didn't even really know what the people of Edolas were capable of producing on a technological level, so firearms weren't out of the question. Swords were a definite, as were most other forms of iron weaponry. Sighing, he pushed the thoughts from his mind as he followed Penny towards the fighting. Staring for a bit, Jayce gave a soft whistle as he watched, placing his right hand on his belt. "Friends of your's?"

Nori/Location: Kabo

When Maddox pulled a talking glowing rock from his pocket, Nori stared at it curiously. It looked like the things Jayce powered his arm with. Wagging her tail slightly, she just watched and listened.
