Okay I've tried Untap.in and it reminds me of Magic Online.

So sure I guess I could do what I love to do.
Make lore themed commander decks.

Seeing how most of you seem to be actual players, I'll have to play against you guys sometime... >:D

So on that note, what format do you guys play? Any specific places? (IRL only, Untap.in, another website)

I play my Magic at my FNM or where I go to study.

Commander/standard/MoJoSo/ are my prime formats.

Personally never use online. though I have played MTG over skype (it was funny and enjoyable)

@JaceBeleren I think I forgot to mention my intentions for Pavara's cutlass. Basically, it's an artifact equipment with a "tap an equal amount of mana as the spell you you're countering costs"

Or, on second thought, could it be a free "Tap= counter target spell with converted mana cost of 1"?

In summation, I wanted a small spell counter for the first round, just for a little surefire self defense.

But in actually that begs the question. Why do you need a surefire way of getting a free counterspell. Very much so if its the first drop of the game. Theres a reason this game doesn't include tapping artifacts for counters for free.

They break the colour pie. If a golgari can counterspell thats going to be a problem

Personality: Vall'qe remains as probably the most shadiest of all the Combine. Slow speech, focused hands, and his general knack to keep to himself keeps him from dealing with anyone he isn't experimenting on. Vall'qe, in his quest to forward science for the Simic and all of Ravnica, has taken a few liberties on how he goes about his business.

Rank 2-3 members - Only a few unfortunate know of Vall'qe. Words like 'creep', 'danger', and 'why is this guy a member of our guild' come to mind when thinking about this odd fellow.
Rank 4 members - Mostly see Vall'qe as an unfortunate tool. He does great work, albeit a bit extreme by normal means.
Guild Master - Vall'qe isn't sure who the leader is this day in age.

Rank within guild: 3 - Though hidden from those who do not seek him, Vall'qe has found a spot where he is comfortable. Not that the rest of the guild would be looking forward to him rising in rank.

Do I even really need to explain why putting a phyrexian anywhere is a terrible idea?

First up. Phyrexians. If they are even phyrexians they believe in one purpose, and that is to spread the glory of Phyrexia to everything else. Literally the only purpose of Phyrexia is to 'enlighten' everyone else in order to for Phyrexia to extend its reachs. They go about this is in mutiple ways such as full on attacking planes through planar bridges (Dominaria/Rathi Overlay) or through unseen corruption of the plane. (Mirroden) In the case of Dominaria, It caused huge huge huge problems for the entire plane for many hundreds of years. In terms of Mirroden. Well Mirroden doesn't exist anymore and is called New Phyrexia. So that explains something.

Secondly if any Phyrexian even was on Ravnica they would be from either New Phyrexia (which means they finally made planar bridge technology) or from old Phyrexia (which is basically impossible due to the destruction of the plane and the death of Yawgmoth). Now you could say that they were there for effectively ages but that creates another issue, Mirroden fell apart very quickly due to being an artifact plane but Ravnica is full of streets made narrow. Phyrexisis would be an infection that could easily spread through early ravnica. That would engrain the history of Ravnica however that would also mean Phyrexian substances like Ichor(Glistening Oil) would be in abundenance.

So unless the story is going New New Phyrexia I wouldn't recommend being a Phyrexian. The easy fix is just being something that has mutated itself through Simic experiments and now resembles a Phyrexia though with non of the doctrine or abilty to infest.

So that's kind of...an issue, I guess...

Also, Demigod of Revenge is nice, but unless you're running 4 diabolic tutors as well, or a lot of drawing/milling, he's really not all that.
If you can name a card that sends a card from my own deck and all copies of it to the grave though...Then I'll definitely put it in somewhere. Might even splash it in the Golgari CS.

no no see the way you run Demigod is in an aggressive rakdos hellbent/madness build with stuff like Faithless looting and Avatar of discord.

You need only 1-2 to win.

@Gutshot Yeah rhino-humanoid or loxodon would be fine. Reason that the race thing is even there is mainly to stop people from going "Ok, well my character is a dragon the size of a mountain!".
