Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR PEEOOPLLLE~!!!
@Classpet Lot's of interesting stuff there, which actually involves me a bit: Karen does in fact, practices and uses a sword :)

I've got a bit of trivia on the potter verse as well, but I'm going to be withholding them for shock value in the RP xD

Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
@KahleenCuthald & @AbysmalDemon

"I see . . ." said Karen. She was uninformed about this change in policy. Still, it made sense. As the new Headmistress, there was no room for favoritism. "I suppose you're right. For first years, Seeker and Chaser are the ideal position, though the position of Seeker will also be a bit dependent on the students personal funds; I imagine that Seekers with equal skills will be judged on the brooms that they have instead . . ."

Karen mulled over the conversation. If it was true that they could join the team at first year, then Karen had to revised her schedule for a bit. Her mind thought over time available to her and the time needed if she wanted to get into the team. She calculated her chances of succeeding: Slim. Very slim. Her own talent as a player was only a little above standard - and that was from self-estimation. Not the best base of judgement. If she wanted to have a chance to get a position, she would have to make the most of the free days of this week. Her mind had already locked in on a course of action, and now she was wondering . . .

Karen looked at her three new acquaintances. She watched them as she took a bite out of the last morsels of her food, which, despite the large amount, had mysteriously disappeared into her stomach somehow. "Nathan, Charlyn, Callum, how would you like to increase our chances of getting into the team?" she proposed conspiratorially.
Pica's eyes shone with something akin to reverence. Not reverence for this lady, though she certainly had her respect, but the kind of reverence held for legends and myths, but legends that were come true. The things this 'Lore Master' had told them, the things they were expected to do . . . how could she, of all people, back down from such a life? Her motto, her creed, was to help people to the best of her ability, to end the sufferings around her. Here in the village she had done that by putting to good use the skills she had learned from the people who had raised her, but she had always felt as if that wasn't enough. Now, she had a chance to do more than what she could.

More promising than that, however, was the prospect of having to raise a dragon. She didn't care for whatever prestige or power it gave; what she cared about most was the actual raising of the dragon. To be its guide, mother and friend. Pica couldn't think of a better effort with which to dedicate her life to.

Yes, there was no need to think about tomorrow, not when she had her answer today.

"I'm not leaving," she said in a soft, yet determined tone. "There's nothing else I can see more worth of decision than this."
@Whitewind Well, it says so that it can use any magic + heal so . . .
@FernStone @WaddleDaisy @Flamelord

Next post is up! @Cinderella Man, feel free to post when you can :)
The girl in azure sighed. That was one problem out of the way. Now time to deal with this one. She bent her knees and her hands touched the ground, ready to fight for her life. She only hoped that those girls got away safely. With a fierce yell, she charged towards the shadow in front of her.

The girls had been moving for a few minutes, and so far, nothing had happened. It was as if all the excitement and terror earlier had been nothing but a very blur, a false memory created from nothing. Yet the twisted background remained as testament that you were not imagining things. This experience was very, very real. Worse still, the blood from Sasha's wound did not ease up, and was steadily trickling down her sides. Already, her skin had become paler as she lost more and more blood, and it would soon reach the point where it would be difficult for Sasha to retain full consciousness.

More time passed still, and so far, there were no other persons in sight. All that surrounded them were decaying brown hills and more of the black, twisted trees. Just when the silence had stretched into a quarter hour a chorus of moans echoed through the air. From behind the hills sailed a group of five shadows, much like the ones before. Only there was a kind of frenzy in their wails that was not present in the voices of those that came earlier; these shades sounded so much more desperate, starving even. And the they came after the one that came into their sights first: Ingrid.

The ambush came swiftly, as they dove straight towards Ingrid, scrambling over each other to reach her first. So quick was their strike that there was scarce any time to react to it, and as a result, one of the shades tore off a chunk of Ingrids chest. A fatal wound, undoubtedly. The shades flew over Ingrid, tearing each other to pieces over Ingrid's ruptured flesh, and as the argument grew heated, the body of one of the shades fell down in front of her, landing on the ground with a wet squelch.

Suddenly, a panicked and distressed voice rang out in the minds of all the girls gathered: "If you want to live eat the remains of the shade in front of you! HURRY!"

The shades arguing over Ingrids meat had quickly divided it among them and devoured it, and now, with no meal at hand, they turned to the nearest source where they could get it. Their dark, faceless heads twisted unnaturally, facing Ingrid and the rest of the girls of the group.
@Aisling Well, seeing as there's still one opening, I volunteer as tribute! And I guess I'll take Dylin for Pica now :D
@Aisling No, just asking seeing as there's an imbalance of characters (or is there? I'm not too updated xD)
