Hello everyone! I am Thespian. And I'm looking for some new partners.

Rules
~Be able to string together basic sentences. I will allow one paragraph posts, that's fine! A couple of lines? That be cool too. But I do need more than one liners please, just to ensure I have something I can reply to.

~Romance! It's a bit of a read but hang in there! Just about everyone loves it. And I don't mind it. But if two characters don't have chemistry, they don't. I'm not going to mold my characters just so they can be with someone else's.
~Adding this because it's starting to become a problem. I WILL NOT DO ROMANCE FOR THE SAKE OF ROMANCE. Nor will I play just a male because you want to play a female in a romantic situation. Usually I will play one man and one woman at the very least. If my male, whenever he comes into the role play, does not click with your female, there will not be romance between them. Likewise, my ladies, if they come in, don't need no man in their lives. All of my characters are designed to function without a S/O. They might have a personality type where they kinda crave connection, but it's not make or break.
Plot comes before romance. At every time. No matter what. This is not an action movie where our heroes will stop saving the world to make out while the world is exploding. They got priorities (survival is important).
Please do not mistake this as me saying I don't like to rp romance. I am HAPPY TO. I just want chemistry between the characters. If Character A is super full of themselves and nothing but a buttface to Character B, B may not be attracted to A. Not to mention you don't even always need love for smut, if both characters are prone to flings

~ While I understand the need to keep the plot moving, please remember you gotta give stuff time to happen naturally or it'll just feel forced! Just because something doesn't happen the post after it's suggested doesn't mean it is forgotten. This doesn't apply just to romance, but story as a whole.

~18+ Stuff. I am willing to not fade to black. Or we can fade to black if you like. I don't mind rping sexy times. But if they drag on and on... I'll get bored. Not to say we can't have a smutty rp. Sometimes it's fun. But again... We can't ONLY do sexytimes. No one has that much stamina. That being said if you want to rp this stuff, you better be 18+
If you are not 18+, I am not gonna instantly say no rp, but there'll be no 18+ stuff.

~If you don't want to rp anymore, or need plot/ideas added, feel free to let me know! We'll work on it. Too awkward and uncertain to talk about it to me? That's fine! If you haven't posted in a month, I'll assume it's over. No hard feelings here.

~Here's something a bit different about me, to add to the stuff above. If you just stop replying... I really don't judge. Sometimes you think you've replied when you actually haven't. Sometimes you just forget. And sometimes you lose interest. It happens. I might message you after a week to see if you're still interested, but if you don't reply after that? I'll live. Again... Really no hard feelings.

A thief with a penchant for magic. He is very adept in stealth and all things sneaky, from lockpicking to pickpocketing. And these are skills he takes pride in. He does not actually need to steal, he could support himself just fine and always has been able to. However, the problem with that is he has so much fun being a dirty little thief.

Abilities:
Can shift between the forms of a cat and a near human, which is more or less a human with cat ears. This is an inborn ability all his kind have. He also has a fair bit of magical skill, but has only bothered to hone a certain branch... Illusion magic. These spells are used to help him make a quick get away, or just play tricks on some poor bastard unlucky enough to met him on the street. He can also use the magic to conjure clothes for himself. These are indeed physical clothes, and in many ways are just an extension of shapeshifting. His illusions are so lifelike it is hard to tell between them and the real deal.
Despite being an idiot, he is actually extremely powerful as many magical beings are, as well as being very hard to kill. Not an enemy you want to end up having.

He's got a 'fun' sense of humor. A trickster, he uses his years upon years of magic experience to play pranks and generally be a complete idiot. Seeming to be a child eternally, he has a hard time taking anything seriously and will even pout when he doesn't get his way like the big crybaby he is.
While the he pronoun is often used, technically he is without gender, and will change pronouns based on if he is in a more male or more female form. He is equally happy to go by 'they' or 'it' or whatever else you want to call him. He's a cat, you expect him to give a shit?

Bio:
Born many years ago in the woods, he was on his own at a young age (his kind initially grow as fast as any kitten). Once he was old enough to leave his mother, he traveled to the big city of Zerzura where he learned how to steal from an old thief who eventually had age get the better of hi, but Ezra carried on his good work and that's what he's been doing to this day.

Most of the reason he doesn't just stay in one place is he has a horrible habit of sleeping with other men's wives which mildly upsets their husbands.

Bio:
Born and raised in Arcadia, Owen's mother died soon after naming him and his father had never been a fixture in his life. He was raised by a well meaning elf bard, who eventually turned him out into the world with a proud smile knowing that she had taught him all he could. The problem was that elf also happened to work in a brothel, which perhaps explains his morals.

Krait excels at hitting things really hard. She is big, well built, and very strong. Her skills lie in the use of heavy weaponry. She is trained with axes, great-sword, sword and shield combination, and war hammers. She's also fairly scent and just pummeling things with her fists. She is also a fair decent smith.

Abilities:
No magic what so ever. It's for the weak. Like all of her kind, she is highly resistant to disease, with a tough hide that when paired with her heavy armor means she can take a great deal of punishment before she has to worry too much about taking a break. This is something she is well aware of, and will hammer hard at an enemy till she has won.

Personality:
Very much a brute. She is a believer in brawn over brains, and doesn't see how there is any problem she can't solve just by being stronger than said problem. But, despite her simple minded nature, she does have a sense of honor. She won't attack someone who doesn't have a way to defend themselves. Nor will she attack children. To her the only good way to die is in battle, and so she rarely misses a chance to prove her strength and perhaps earn herself in her people's sacred afterlife. She is actually a priest by her people's reckoning, so as far as she is concerned there is no other way to die.

Heavy hide armor made from the skin of fallen warriors she has defeated. She also wears trophies from past battles, ears, teeth, and so on on a leather cord around her neck which when she fills, will be burned as an offering to her gods.

Bio:
She was hatched in the Lernean swamps, and like all her kind was expected to raise herself from birth. And that she certainly did. She hunted water snakes and bugs until she was big enough to hunt better prey. By the time she was twenty, this life had molded her into a powerful warrior. She used these skills to kill one of the aging temple priests, taking his skin for her armor and his biggest fang for a trophy necklace, she assumed her place. With war brewing in the country, she sees this as the perfect chance to do her duty and honor her gods with some fine trophies.

Despite being a slight elf, she imposes fear upon her works and makes the cost of betrayal clear. She is not afraid to sell former allies as product.

Abilities:
Extremely skilled in combat and elemental magic, as well as just enough illusory spells to hide her traps. She enchants cages, bindings, and other forms of traps in order to capture her prey. Through these enchantments, she has managed to capture kitsune, giants, vampires and all all other manner of creature into the market.

Personality:
A slaver without peer, and she knows it. She is calm, calculating, and quite proud of her power. She knows her name is one feared and she is quite proud of it. She lives for the chase, loving the feeling of capturing a new sort of prey and selling it to the highest bidder. With the war she sees opportunity. A chance to make a whole lot of money and expand her influence in the process. And it is not a chance she plans to miss. When she has the chance of interesting prey, she takes it.

She is dressed in mail armor, a whip on one hip and a sword on the other. But her caravan is where all her real weapons are, her traps and chains. She never travel far from her small army. She also has a great deal of coin to spend at any given time.

Bio:
Vivienne inherited her caravan from her father, Ratern, after he died of illness. Born to him and his favorite slave, she was taken from her mother at birth and raised solely by her father. He taught her everything she knew, ensuring that she would be well equipped to face whatever comes her way. Under her rule, the caravan has doubled in size and she has found powerful friends to help her make sure that the business can keep booming for years to come.

Abilities:
He seems to be able to appear just about wherever he wants, becoming invisible when he does not wish to be seen and fading through walls like a ghost. Never seen walking, this strange being is always floating around, even when he is sitting he hovers at least an inch above the ground or chair. He can also pull a number of items out of his hat, such as a tea set. However, for all these strange abilities, he is physically incapable of harming anyone unless they give him express permission to hurt them. It's hard to tell what would happen then, as no one in history has done so before. He has quite a bit of magical ability, as he can be seen summoning water and fire to make his tea.
Also he tends to enjoy to feed on ghosts.

A mystery wrapped in an enigma with a touch of creepy stalker. Mostly he just appears in assorted places, grins at people from shadowy corners, and breathes heavily. He likes to act like he is all knowing by constantly being very vague and speaking in riddles.

Lernean Swamps

---

Known to the natives as simply the Home Marsh, the Lernean swamps are the domain of the hulking lizard folk, who simply call themselves the Kin. It is a harsh swamp full of all manner of venomous snake, poisonous plant, and savage beast. The marshy ground and dangerous wildlife means that no construction can happen here, as the marsh soil itself seems to eat up and resist magic. The Beast Folk here are religious warriors, living and dying by the sword. The lizard folk seem to be the only sort of sentient race that thrives here, as their skin is too thick for the disease carrying insects to bite through. Some attempts have been made to ally with them, but so far they show little interest. Since much of the swamp is too dense to really build, they live on floating houses deep in the swamp and live by hunting the dangerous beasts that reside within it.
Because they refuse to make trade routes with any of the other races, there are no main exports. However, sometimes a lucky trader will convince one of the tribes to trade a little armor or some weaponry.
