Cannons and lasers fired, a barrage of devastating weaponsfire raining down on Apocalypse. Lesser weaponry seemed to simply bounce off of his skin, specifically heat-based weaponry was almost completely useless. A Halcyon cannon managed to blow off the creature's left arm as it was throwing around one of the Mako tanks, but already it grew back. Strands of flesh extended from the stump, extending and knitting together as a new limb was formed in just a second or two. This creature seemed impossible to harm. It's speed allowed it to dodge almost every attack, and those few attacks that did hit (usually through sheer chance) only rarely did any damage. And it's immense regenerative properties made such damage almost completely futile. Covered in blood and gore, Apocalypse seemed to be having the time of his life. He laughed as he ripped a tank in half, and chuckled as he punched through a squad of batarians. It's experience with the 'friend' grenades had truly been a positive one, and the creature had never before drawn such boundless joy from the needless slaughter of innocents. Whilst previously it had been motivated by an unending jealousy and superiority complex, it found itself now able to enjoy the little things, to see the glass half-full. As Apocalypse crushed the head of a krogan with his left hand, he considered that he had never felt more satisfied performing such a humble task.

Of course, such introspection did no good to the yakuza in question. In fact, this was probably rather bad news, as Apocalypse would normally have simply gotten bored and walked away. But it became time for the one being with any hope of stopping this abomination stepped forth, a being practically built for battle wielding a weapon of immense power.

As Varhak slammed his weapon down towards Apocalypse, he simply blocked the head. The impact crushed the ground beneath his feet, shaking the earth and forming a crater around the point of impact. But Apocalypse held it. Not without trouble, mind you, but he held. Grinning, Apocalypse looked up at the krogan warrior, revealing a row of bony portrusions were another being might have teeth. "That is a mighty weapon indeed. But it seems that despite your hammer's power, it is wielded by a weakling." He tossed Varhak backwards, hammer and all, before slowly marching towards him. The rest of the yakuza would most likely have formed around Banha, but it would not matter. "Tell me, little one. What is it that you hoped to achieve wielding a weapon so much greater than yourself?"

The kolons pulled out their grenades and moved for the door, aiming to throw them through the tiny slot. And yet, even as they attempted to pull the pin, they found they couldn't. Not that the pin was impossible to pull, but that they simply no longer had the option. No matter how hard or long they tried they found themselves incapable of forcing their hands through the motions, as if their bodies simply refused to perform the action required. It was a command, implanted into their brains, and it was one they could not disobey. Whilst any with no intention of harming the Emperor would find the pins easy to pull, for the kolons, right now, it was impossible. For the Ethereal it would be clear as day that they had been touched by the Emperor's mind. For even as his body lay broken, his mind was fully aware, and fully capable. Any who wished to dispose of the God Emperor's body would need to face the mind that governed it.

It was when the Kolons opened the door that they found themselves faced with the God Emperor himself, resurrected in full. He had been forced to accelerate the process of regeneration, but that was but a small strain. Nova looked upon these tiny creatures, and he knew them for what they were. They were children, incapable of comprehending the true darkness of this reality. But they were gifted in many ways, and they would be the perfect tools to rebuild his Imperium. "Kolon. Build this." The Kolons would of course already know what his goal was, the blueprints implanted into their minds. Nova had no intention of dominating their minds, there was no reason to do so. He simply placed the implication that doing as he said would lead to fun in their subconscious, a mild suggestion. If they wished to the Kolons could completely ignore his words, but he would be grateful if they would lend him their assistance.

Next, the God Emperor turned to the Ethereal. "You have unleashed a great evil on this world, alien. You had it in your clutches, and you had the capability to destroy it for good. Your failure to do so could have proven the end of this world. If we are to cooperate, then such foolish actions should be avoided. While your organisation may not hold innocents in the same regard as I do, I believe we both wish to preserve the stability of the Multiverse." The ethereal had clearly deigned the God Emperor an enemy, but Nova had no intention of fighting the Dark Outliners if he could avoid it. He had read the Ethereal's mind with no regard for privacy, figuring it only fair in recompense for the failed attempt at delaying his revival. Luckily for the Dark Outliners, Nova had been unable to pierce the Ethereal's powerful psionic defences, and as such had no access to his innermost memories. He was simply aware of surface thoughts and knowledge, including Apocalypse. Of course, the true extent of what information Nova had gleaned remained to be seen.

With a gesture, he moved Ruiko in front of him. He had not touched her body with mind nor form, instead simply warping the space around her. She would find herself teleported suddenly in front of him. The God Emperor looked down at her and smiled, recognizing the turmoil in her mind, and the foolish actions that had forced her to this place. "As for a more pressing matter, I believe that you do not belong here. The war you have seen is but a playground tussle compared to the hell this world will soon be encompassed by. I may not be able to return you to your own world at this time, but I am able to protect you, if you wish." Nova paused, as he felt the emotions flit through her mind. He sighed, as he recognized the folly of protecting one so fiercely independent. "Or, if you wish, I can help you along the warrior's path. It is within my power to grant you the capabilities you wish for naturally, to transform you into an.... esper, with no need to rely on foolish devices. Do not make your decision, but think on it. I can grant safety or power, but with power comes responsibility, hence I cannot grant both."

Nova then moved on, expecting Ruiko to be too dumbstruck to speak. She would make her decision in time. Instead, he began to walk towards the door to the Kolon Hut. There was a mess outside that needed dealing with, and nobody else had volunteered.

Nah, physically Apocalypse is stronger than the God Emperor. The God Emperor could probably beat the first form of Apocalypse that arrived here, but this Apocalypse is significantly stronger. Of course, that's taking into account purely physical capabilities.

Also, the palace is made from normal stone. He literally built it out of the nearby skyscrapers, remember?

Oh and Nova can teleport. So no matter how durable the cell, it won't hold him.

Pokemon is broken because it's pokemon. Get that shit out of here.

"A single government? Why that would be...." The man took in the mood, and clearly decided to suspend his political opinions in favour of more pressing concerns. "There are currently three major governing bodies on Earth. Then there are the war-torn lands, which change leadership every couple of years. They can't be said to have any stable form of government." He looked over the clones, and how worried they were. Clearly he was also panicking, but he seemed to keep his cool remarkably well for a man whom's world had been turned upside down multiple times in the last few hours. "Presumably, there's some form of threat? We may not have a world government, but the most prominent governing bodies would quite probably cooperate if faced with an extraterrestrial threat."

Apocalypse casually bats aside on of the tiny furry creatures as it attempts to lead him towards the hut. Apocalypse had no intention of entertaining their little plans, although he wasn't actively hostile to them. The gesture sent the kolon flying, and it reduced itself to a red sheen on a nearby brick wall. This quite probably discouraged other nearby kolons from attempting to influence the grey giant. Apocalypse's attention, however, was taken up by the Ethereal. As always he had eyes only for the strongest being in the room, and as current the agent of the Dark Outliners filled that spot nicely. "You said you would bring me to this realm's strongest warriors. But perhaps I overstep the boundaries of our agreement." The grey goliath grinned. "Of course, this would make you valid prey once more. I would rip your body to shreds, tear your little ship from the sky, and annihilate whatever Envisioning One you claim to work for."

Apocalypse turns, casually strolling towards the Yakuza. "Take some time to think about it. Weigh your chances. Decide whether you want to be with me, or against me. Call your toy soldiers, and call in your nukes. I'll be over here if you need me." With those parting words, Apocalypse turned his full attention to the others that now occupied the area.

The cat creatures that had assisted in his resurrection had infested the place, constructing some manner of device and spreading those strange grenades all over the place. He felt no grattitude towards them, however they were clearly not a priority target. Their diminutive physical capabilities made them boring opponents, regardless of their intelligence. Furthermore they didn't form any threat to his well-being, as they had clearly shown themselves to be non-hostile. As such, he chose to dismiss them until later. He would kill them, of course, but only once he was done with the rest of this planet.

A small army of aliens had formed outside the ruins of the palace. Apocalypse looked them over, however, and they clearly didn't form a threat to his well-being, nor would they be interesting opponents. Armies were boring to fight, offering no real challenge. Even with their supposedly more advanced gear, the yakuza were basically just cannon fodder, and their presence as such was negligible. Although, their tanks might make quite an effective projectile weapon should the situation call for it.

No, there was not a single worthy opponent within this area. As such, he'd simply have to pass the time until the Ethereal made it's decision, or called in it's forces. Grinning, Apocalypse approached the Yakuza, the friendified first lines approaching the goliath in a daze. Apocalypse ripped through them, moving far faster than the human eye could possibly follow. A dark grey blur, leaving a trail of blood and death in it's wake, dozens of Yakuza decimated in the blink of an eye. Every Yakuza that had been affected by the friend grenades was annihilated within a mere moment, a second at most, as the supersonic monster literally reduced them to a fine red mist. Those within the shields would find themselves treated to a momentary show, before Apocalypse focused it's attention on them.

This would be fun.

As the Kolons retrieved Nova's body, they could already observe it healing. Strands of flesh knitted back together, and bones regrew from the pulp they had been reduced to. The body was mostly already rebuilt, and it clearly would not be long before the God Emperor was reborn in this world once more. However, more worryingly, Warp energy sparks around the body. Even as slowly Nova's mind returns to his physical form, a torrent of energy forms around his body. Purple lightning and phantom lights fill the hut where he's brought, and perfectly sound equipment begins to malfunction randomly. It was a phenomenon that could not be studied, could not be quantified. The God Emperor would be reborn in mere moments, and it was clear that he would not be happy when he awoke.
@Archmage MC
It definitely looked pretty, and even the second half was quite loyal to the books. There were small changes, but nothing beyond what made sense for a movie adaptation.

You do realize Saphira isn't actually speaking, right? It's mental communication. As such, her voice isn't going to be a physical one, and having it be heavier than human would make no sense.

And the Golden Compass movie was more underwhelming than it was shit.
@Savato
Just double-checked, you're right and he didn't. But hey, he made plenty of shit to make up for it.

Unbreakable made no sense, had moronic characters, and the dude's kid was INSANE. That one scene where he was going to shoot his father in the chest to prove he had superpowers had me in stitches.
@Wraithblade6
Damn, I didn't realize everyone was still subscribed to this ^_^

And yeah, it's been more than a year.
@Savato
Shyamalon directed a single good movie. Sixth sense. Everything else he's touched is 'eh' at best, and no better than that. Signs, the Happening, The Last Airbender, Dragonball Evolution, Unbreakable..... He has a big pile of unforgivable shit, which has turned him from a potential genius into box office poison.

@Archmage MC
Nah, he didn't do Eragon OR Golden Compass. Although the Eragon movie was decent, and that's coming from a fan of the books. Fairly accurate, with cool-looking props and decent acting.
