As the demon fired his blue fire breath repeatedly from above, the snake creature merely hissed, slicing through them with it's blades. The ornate scimitars appeared to leave a blue shimmering trail as they moved, and dispersed the fireballs as they sliced through them in a manner no normal blade would cause. Of course, even fancy swords couldn't save it from the omnipresent force of gravity, and as the floor cracked beneath it's immense weight it was plunged down to the lower level with a high-pitched shriek. The mercenaries soon followed, although one leaped off the edge of the roof while activating some glider-like contraption. It seemed unlikely he would be a continual threat, as he dodged and weaved down towards the safety of anywhere-but-here. However, despite the effect of Firebrand's attack, it appeared the fight was not quite over.

The snake creature reared it's ugly head from the debris, although it now sported a gash above it's right eye. It screeched loudly, no doubt saying even more unfathomable things in it's unfathomable tongue. It then switched from curses to actual curses, as it drew a strange sigil in the air with one of it's many fingers. While the tentacles had long dissipated into magical energy, this new attack was far less tangible. A strange sense of dread would take hold of Firebrand, as he felt an odd pain in his gut. Whatever this creature was doing, it wasn't going to be good for his health, and it would be a lot harder to avoid than some tendrils. The creature grinned as it's other hand worked yet another magic, gesturing more wildly and disparately as strands of dark magic wove around it's fingers. Even as Firebrand would consider how to deal with the curse that now clamped it's cold hand on his heart, he would notice the mercenaries he had just moments before killed rising a new, undead slaves to the one who had brought them here. From the very start they had been but tools, and even in death they would be granted no reprieve.

Whether Firebrand realised it or not, this was no average soldier he faced. While many of those in Viral's army were mere goons, this was a Yuan'Ti Abomination, a High Priest of the Serpent Gods. A master of ancient and dark magics, this creature would form a dangerous adversary if faced alone, calling upon a thousand curses and incantations even as it wielded relics of the ancient Yuan'Ti Empire. It's motives and origins were perhaps a mystery, but it was clear the creature would not leave until the demon had been eliminated.
Sorry for relatively slow posting, but I've currently got some stuff going on. I'll post for Vault later today.

Zoom-ins clearly showed the leader of the small army to be a strange robotic-looking figure with a skull for a head. Perhaps a primitive version of automated soldiers? It didn't matter, it was merely another inferior weapon, a vestige of a realm far beyond it's expiration date, struggling to survive the natural advance of time. Viral's clawed fingers dashed over the controls, as the laser primed and focused. It seemed their charge wasn't slowing, and the lead figure even seemed to be attempting an attack of some sort. Energy readings showed it was the same strange force that many so-called mages wielded on this world, a force Viral had yet to master. But a pale imitation of the true power wielded by Lord Genome. There was a flash of light, and.....

........

Was it a defensive tactic? Did this primitive believe that by turning themselves to stone, they could survive a direct impact from Enki's annihilation laser? It was certainly a.... unique ability, but Viral merely sighed, resigning himself to the destruction of this army of fools. Then, of course, once more the wand flashed. Perhaps it was curiosity that stayed Viral's hand, or perhaps it was the absolute knowledge that he could not be defeated. Confidence before the fall, and all that. But Viral merely watched as a wave of electromagnetic energy washed over the small army, and ineffectively slid past the giant Gunman. The lead tank slowly slowed to a crawl, as Viral watched railguns and lasers deactivate, inferior technology wiped out by an inferior countermeasure. A small hovertank near the back simply dropped to the ground, most of it's systems instantly wiped out. At this point Viral could easily have wiped out their army, with nearly half of their weapons systems wiped out by what appeared to be a misfire from their commander. A true testament to incompetence.

With a crack like thunder, the laser shot out and sliced across the landscape, trailing a vast wave of explosions in it's wake. The horizon lit up, and it seemed like the sky itself had been lit on fire. There was no doubt to any watching that the attack could have wiped out the small Alliance force, had it been aimed at them. However, that would be pointless to Viral. All those who would live to be impressed with the annihilation already feared him plenty, and he needed new men after all. The mech stepped forward, bringing Mortanius' tank to a stop by resting a foot on it. He leaned down, checking whether the granite figure was, in fact, still alive. After confirming that, while not really alive, it was at least 'active', he spoke out. "I have chosen to show mercy to you and your men. You live now because I chose to allow it. You have tested your powers against mine, and been proven a failure. I win."

The mech stood, and this time addressed the army, as opposed to the commander. "Your leader is toppled, your weapons disabled. Your lives are mine to give or take, and yet I show mercy. But this will be your only chance. Those who wish to follow a crippled fool to hell's gates are free to challenge me once more, and I will annihilate you without pause. Those who wish to live, however, should abandon the constraints of your petty mortal faction, and join the Viral Army. When I burn this world in Lord Genome's name, you should know what side you're on." With those words, Viral turned back to the city. It appeared his forces were having more trouble than he had anticipated. Perhaps some small force had managed to rally together and oppose his armies, or a high-powered individual had attacked his men. It didn't matter. If you wanted something done right, you had to do it yourself.

The mech strut forward, an icon of death and destruction. All would worship at it's feet, and fall before it's blades. This was Enki, one of the greatest Gunmen in the Spiral Empire's armies. And there was nothing that would stop him.
@Nightknight
I don't believe any of the Enki's systems are actually electronic, as they were designed based on the Spiral Power mechs like Lagann.

And yeah, they might be peeved.

Great. The Alliance had arrived. At least the representatives looked fairly normal, other than the giant red dude. Malden Arus sighed as the Outliners representative felt the need to poke fun at the others. Luckily there were no violent repercussions, and the discussion remained relatively civil. His face belied none of the fear he felt wrenching at his gut as he once more spoke up, now specifically addressing the Speaker, in the vain hope that ignoring Eto would cause her to cease existing. "The terminals are indeed an important strategic asset, but the imperium considers interactions on this world to bear priority for the time being. The Terminals do not appear to be responsible or directly connected to the anomaly bringing individuals to Arcadia, and therefore bear no direct threat. While certainly they are a matter that must be discussed, the acquisition of land is the more important subject of the moment." Speaking fluently and confidently, Malden quickly moved on the the next person, bearing the slight irrational fear that the Speaker was reading his mind as the strange alien watched him.

The Goa'Uld statement was of course ridiculous. They had effectively called dibs on half the planet, including all Imperium lands, as well as all other planets in the system. But Manus suppressed his disgust, speaking with the same confident and friendly demeanor that he had previously employed. "The Goa'Uld Empire will be granted appropriate right to land, but all factions must be granted land according to their requirements and desires. For the moment, the other planets in the system are not under discussion. Expansion will be mostly limited to Arcadia. As normally, space-faring vessels may be placed in geosynchronous orbit above controlled lands, or unclaimed lands. Any vessels may be left in deep space, outside of firing range of the planet." The agreements on space vessel location had never been factually stated, but most factions had realised that leaving a warship hovering over another faction's land was not a gesture of peace.

"As for the lands allotted to the Goa'Uld Empire, the Imperium suggests the entire area known by the locals as Asia be granted to them." Malden gestured, and a line appeared automatically on the holographic world map, encircling the area in question. "Discussions may be opened on the ownership of the rest of Russia, and other adjacent areas." Again circles would appear on the map around the areas in question, a difference in colour indicating the 'debatable' areas. "Furthermore, later in today's meeting, a treaty will be proposed with regards to space colonisation. All further questions and statements on the subject will have to wait until that time." Malden nodded respectfully at both Goa'Uld representatives, hoping his statements had in no way offended them. Unlike Kaldor, he was a man of diplomacy and reason, and so no value in provoking the xenos.

"Another important matter for discussion is the border between the Alliance of Conquerors and the Imperium." Malden turned now towards Keith, and the rest of the Alliance party. "While in times of war the border was the frontline, it's important to establish a proper border, and border treaty, now that we are at peace." Malden did his best to pass the remarkable optimism of such a statement off as merely stating the obvious. "The Imperium initially suggests this line be drawn. You will receive these cities, whereas this area will fall within Imperial territory." A line appeared on the map, dividing Imperial and Alliance lands. It was mildly unfair towards the Alliance, giving the Imperium slightly more lands and cities, most notably the large city of Winnipeg. But such things exist to be debated over. "This is important in order to allow for trade, solidify each nation's location, and to eliminate the remarkable amount of raiders and criminals who have made this area their home."

It appeared the fools had not learned their lesson just let. Imperiously, Viral stared out over the small army of tanks and soldiers that made their charge towards the city limits. He had no time to deal with fools who would throw their lives away for their goal. He grinned, as the mech took on a stance. His voice rang out, magnified, to meet the army as they entered into cannon range. "To those of you who value their lives over their loyalties, all who join me will be allowed to live. Join the Beastman Empire, and know that when the age of man eclipses, you will be on the winning team. Or cling to your failing armies, and die with the rest." He took a moment to see whether his speech had any impact, before a number of tank shells slammed into his suit's armour. They could barely scratch the paint individually, but if a large mass of them hit him at once, that might cause damage. And repairs were hard to get by in this place. Looked like he'd have to end this quickly. Perhaps these fools would form an example for the many fools to come.

Crackling energy gathered in a bright red orb, hovering within the crescent blade on Enki's helmet. Bright red light illuminated his surroundings, as any energy measurement devices would explode with the sudden spike. An immensely powerful concentration of energy had formed there, the preparation for his most powerful attack "This is you final warning. All who fail to turn will be vaporised along with your feeble war machines." In but a moment the laser would be charged, and he would wipe out the entire armoured brigade in a single devastating blow. All would turn to dust before the might of his Gunman.

Unfortunately for the two demons, their acts had not been noticed. And the rest of the Viral Army was glad to take care of the additional targets. As they sat atop this building, a portal opened near them, as a creature with the lower body of a snake and four arms spilled forth. Arcane energies flowed through the lower pair of hands, which were human in appearance. The top pair wielded a pair of scimitars, scales covering the hands and the fingers tipped with wicked claws. The yuan-ti hissed, as a crew of mercenary warriors in platemail wielding energy swords spilled from the portal's entrance, shouting an arabic-sounding battlecry as they moved into battle formation. One of them lifted up a longbow, firing an explosive arrow that barely missed it's mark, lighting up another roof as the others closed into melee.

The Yuan-Ti who had brought them here meanwhile hung back, ancient spells spilling from it's lips in a tongue dead to mortal races. It wove a song of binding, a powerful magic that called forth long tendrils from portals in the air to bind it's foes. They reached out, scaly limbs shooting forward and attempting to wrap around the pair of demons. Should they be bound, the mercenaries would make swift work of them.

Winnipeg isn't adjacent to a large body of water. There are two nearby lakes, but I doubt there would be any naval forces in a lake.

Based on a slight inconsistency in the recent posts, i'm ruling there were three boats, not two. This means that both Vault and Tiny's posts can coexist.
@Flamelord
The dude's a space marine zealot. Which means he's zealous, even for a space marine. All aliens are innately flawed and weak, and all humans are by definition superior. It's how his brain works.

Also, said statement referred specifically to the retinue Ba'al had with him. He believes he'd have a decent shot at a one-man genocide, but that's mainly because of his extensive knowledge of warfare, not his ability to one-v-one the entire Goa'Uld army. And even then, I would state it's probably inaccurate in this scenario.
@Gentlemanvaultboy@NightKnight

The siege started off an excellent success. Lacking a single unified defence force, the city was easy pickings for Viral's makeshift army, and it's defences crumbled quickly. Many happily joined Viral the moment they realised the extent of the attack. His army grew rapidly, although he would need to take some time to ascertain their allegiance before he began his grand conquest. Most devastating was Enki itself, the vast war machine unmatched in battle. A swift kick sent an armoued combat drone flying through a few buildings, a quick demonstration of his firepower annihilated a row of sentry turrets. He had yet to meet a proper challenge when explosions ripped the plaza around him to shreds, Enki's screen lighting up as it detected airborne hostiles.

It appeared that another player had arrived on the scene. These devices were ancient human war machines, a pathetic attempt at airborne combat from before the era of the Spiral Empire. They were crude, slow, and weak. Viral smiled inside of his cockpit, as he quickly located the origin point of the flying pests, a small army located a dozen km from the city limits. It appeared that some fool required a demonstration of the superiority of gunman technology. He shot into the air, landing precariously perched on top of a skyscraper, as he stretched both arms. The pests were turning around for another bombing run, readying a secondary payload. Both the Enki's shoulderplates opened up, as a swarm of homing missiles shot forth from them. Some of the bombers attempted to dodge, but the unexpected missile barrage swiftly locked onto and eliminated over 90% of their number. Burning wrecks rained from the sky like confetti, as Enki stood proudly atop the crumbling pillar of human civilisation. He took a moment to pose, knowing how excellently his mech's silhouette was framed by the explosions occuring behind him. Then, he moved on to the next order of business.

Enki soared through the air once more, landing in the street this time, and shot off in a sprint. A speed and acceleration that would make a race car do a double take, the Enki flipped over and through buildings, simply barelling through any resistance in his path. The mech popped suddenly into view of the Alliance patroll as he smashed through the face of a large office building, trailing debris and dus, before coming to a well-calculated halt. The fluidity of the mech's movements was impossible for a feat of even highly advanced technology, achieved only through the wonder of Spiral Power. And although Viral was unable to use the full power of Lord Genome's tools, this amount of combat strength was more than enough to deal with his enemies.

"Behold what happens to those fools who oppose Viral, and the Beastman Regime!" Viral loudly declared his victory, even as he raised his right arm. A rain of kunai the size of cars shot out from it, propelled at supersonic speeds as they sped for Mortarius and his men. Tanks were ripped in half, walls torn to shreds, mechs devastated. It was a rain of pure destruction, an excellent demonstration of the raw power of his Gunman, high-tech even by Beastman standards. If this paltry display of crude weaponry was all they had to offer, then Viral would show them the depths of their insolence in opposing him.
