Outsiders: A New Team




Superheroes, a term that about fifty years ago people would have thought that was a thing confined to comic books. That in this mundane world, such a thing did not exist. But, during the Cold War did the first superhero revealed himself in the United States. Captain Avenger, and no one knew where he came from or how he got his powers. But he would during his fight against an unknown threat, now known as the Collective. He would be joined by two other superheros. The Chaos Witch and the Watcher. Together, they would fight and bring down the Collective during their final fight during the Battle of London, where the Collective tried to enact their plan.

With the world saved and the Collective eliminated. The three to stop any future threats to the world formed the Sentinels and soon. Other superheroes would reveal themselves and join up with the Sentinels.

Unfortunately, meant that supervillains would arise as well, and the Sentinels would fight several threats. The greatest of these threats proved to be the Annot Invasion. When the hostile alien Annots invaded Earth and proved that humanity was not alone in the galaxy. While the Annots were defeated and the Earth was saved. It came at a grave cost, and the Chaos Witch died in the invasion. Which caused a divide between Captain Avenger and the Watcher over the details of her death.

In the end, this divide would cause the Watcher and others to leave the Sentinels and form their own group, later named the Legion.

Now in the current day, while both superhero groups fight for the good of Earth and its people. There is an unseen rivalry between the two groups, and most up-and-coming superheroes either join the Sentinels or the Legion.

Most would, but there are those who seek a third option. A group that seeks to fight evil on their terms and not get caught up in politics. A group that does not align with either the Sentinels or the Legion. The Outsiders, as they will call themselves, it is time to see how these newcomers earn the title of hero, in their own way.

In hindsight, Leo knew now that he had made a mistake. Going up to a girl who was dancing and not having a plan to dance. Yeah, he should know better than this, and he was greeted by an awkward feeling in his chest. The feeling of doing something he should not have done, but did it anyway, without thinking. However, he tried to keep a smile for Tapeesa despite how he felt and to match her smile. Even though she was taking this better than he was, and even offered to meet up after she was done dancing, it was a boon to him. Despite how awkward he felt. If she decides to keep her word, that is, but Leo should not assume, since he barely knows Tapeesa and his impressions so far have been good.

"I will take your word for that, and I will probably be hanging out near the tables or near them maybe when you are done." Leo saying it in a relaxed, if awkward tone. But Leo simply put on a small smile. "I will see you later, Tapeesa, and have a good time dancing."

Leo then left Tapeesa and headed to the tables. Mainly the food tables, and when he was far enough away from Tapeesa. He let out an audible sigh and resisted the urge to brush his hair back with his hands in an annoyed manner. That could have gone better, and he guessed he would have to see how good his dancing skills are another time. If there is another time. Either way, despite feeling like he messed up, Leo felt a bit relieved that he did not have to dance. Even though the music playing then was a more upbeat tune, and that was fine with him.

Still, he did make him think about how the people he has met today are doing. Like Sofia, and hopefully they are doing better than he is. Though a thought came to his head and he stopped dead in his tracks and gave a good look around the party area like a hawk. He not seeing his target. "Hmmm, I wonder if Amorey is here yet or if she is still at her cabin." Leo said softly to himself and figured if she was, then they could meet up, and if not. Well, Leo figured that it was more time to meet new people. Though he would like to see her here to talk with her a bit more if he spots her.

So, Leo finished walking to the tables and noted how popular the bar was right now, and tried to avoid the crowd the best he could. Then he showed a small smile and chuckled to himself. He wondered, given that alcohol was being served of how many people would get drunk and have to train while hungover. It is not a pleasant thought to see people hungover and trying to function. A sight Leo has seen plenty of or maybe being a demigod somehow helps with being able with that. Amorey did say that her father is Dionysus, so maybe that helps.

Now at the food table and feeling a bit peckish. He went to grab and eat some more food before grabbing himself some water to drink. Then, he turned around and whee his gaze met the bonfire, and a thought came to him. He could just hang out there for a time, and Tapeesa can still find him when she is done dancing. If she wants to talk to him once she is done.

Thus, Leo, with water in hand, sat down on one of the logs and started sipping his water. Watching the fire and feeling its warmth. He could stay here awhile, he thought, and went to relax while thinking about the future, among other things.

"Hello Tapeesa" Leo replied with some warmth and shook her hand firmly. Watching as she still kept dancing to the beat, to a degree, and felt good because of the pleasantness of her voice. In comparison to his calm voice. "Nice to meet you, and about dancing." Leo had to admit when he approached Tapeesa since she was alone on the dance floor. He did not think about actually dancing, even though she was on the dance floor and dancing. While Leo can dance, it is not the best since he has little practice and few opportunities to actually dance. So when asked if he wanted to dance, Leo spoke the truth.

"I can dance with you if you want." Leo trying to not sound a bit nervous. "It may not be the best, but I can dance." Saying it with some confidence, but it was more for show, and he was willing to dance if she still wished to.

"I was more seeing if you wanted company or not since you were dancing by yourself," Leo tried giving a soft smile. "If you want company, then you have it, and if you want to keep dancing, then I will as well. Or we can do something else if you want?" Leo saying it with a calm but hopeful tone. Since he would rather not dance and do something else. But this is up to Tapeesa and not him. Leo just hopes that she is perhaps tired of dancing, and they can do something else. Though maybe this will be the night he will have a chance at dancing in public, and maybe it is passable to people.

Still, Leo had to admit that Tapeesa looked a bit cute, and her welcoming smile made him feel warm. But should he say something... no, not yet. He decided in his head, looking for a girlfriend is not on his mind right now, at least not on his first day of being at camp. But maybe down the road and he wants to see first how his first meeting with Tapeesa goes. Maybe good, maybe not so good, but so far. He has not had trouble this day, and maybe this luck will continue tonight.

Even if his dance skills are not the best, Leo might as well have some fun before training starts tomorrow, and there are other stuff to do if Tapeesa does not want his company. So Leo waited for Tapeesa's response and will see if he will actually dance tonight or not.

Sofia had a smile on her face when Anatoliy agreed to stick with them. Another friendly person to add to their group. A win in her book, and it is always nice to have a posse going at a party. Even if she is still new to these people and to camp as a whole. So far people she has met have been nice to her. Both new arrivals and old campers. Though she still needs to meet more of the campers and Mason, her half-brother down the road. Still, tonight has been good so far, despite a performance of the sexual kind with two campers she does not know. Sofia hopes that this is not a common thing here, but with training starting tomorrow. Maybe it will stop or at least be more private after tonight.

Sofia took a sip of her drink, enjoying its taste as it passed her tongue and down her throat. She was happy that Veronica also agreed to have Anatoliy join them tonight. Sofia liked Veronica despite a minor negative when talking about their godly parents. Sofia is giving Veronica the benefit of the doubt that she was not at camp when Hades did his messed-up stuff. So Veronica just did not know, or maybe she is being too serious about the subject. Sofia did not know, but the campers here are okay with her half-brother, Mason, being here, so at least she knows the same can apply to her. Unless she somehow messes up, which she doubts she will do.

"Yeah," replying to what Veronica had said. "That is our plan tonight, and so far it is going well." Which when the topic of training sparked some waryness in her. "I heard the point of camp was to train, and the camp's new leader wants to start training tomorrow." She sighed, "Train for what I do not know but I was told to come here to stay safe, and my mother wanted me here, so here I am." Though Sofia might not have come if she knew the purpose of the camp was just to train demigods and not to be a safe haven for them. But she is here now, and she might as well see what camp life is like before she makes plans to abandon ship.

"I do not play an instrument or anything." Sofia replied to Veronica, "Kinda bad at the attempts of playing them, but I have thought about maybe trying the guitar one of these days." Sofia gave a weak smile. While she did enjoy music, wanting to play them was another matter, and while she did try to learn some instruments. Sofia was not good at it, but despite it. She would be willing to try again, but maybe with a patient teacher.

"That would be nice if you want to play something with your guitar, if you wanted to, Anatoliy." Adding on to what Veronica said and noticing how her skin turned red after backtracking. Sofia felt a bit bad for Veronica, who might just feel like she was asking Anatoliy something he did not want to do. "How about this, since we are getting food? We get some food, grab a table, and after we are done eating. We can find somewhere away from the bar, and maybe you could play us some music if you want, that is." Sofia emphasizing the if part since she does not want Anatoliy to do something he does not want to do.

"Otherwise, there are other stuff to do, like ice skating, sledding, and other stuff. We can find something to do besides eat and drink." Sofia again took another longer sip of her drink. "So you two like this idea, or have something else in mind?"

The New Watchers




It was supposed to be a normal night at Horizon University. University students were going about their business from classes and whatever was keeping them at the university at night. Then an unusual fog rolled into the campus, and the next thing that happened was that a supernatural monster visited the university with minions who proceeded to attack the campus. Killing several students and two professors in its path before focusing on one student. Ann, who was trying to save the students with her, before being confronted by the monster.

Ann tried to defend herself and revealed herself to be a mage. Starting a fight with claw and magic, but she was killed by the monster, and a blue orb dropped from her body that sent a pulse of magical energy throughout the university. Then the monster picked up the orb and retreated, and disappeared along with its minions. The fog receded, and the next day. The town was frenzied with what happened, and while the authorities and the public did not believe what the surviving students said about the monster, they noted that the wounds on the bodies seemed to indicate a person had done it with a knife or sword of some kind, and the students were simply hallucinating due to fear. The university, after the investigation was over, went on its business like the rest of the town.

Now, while some of the surviving students were content to move on and forget what happened. There were a number of students who rejected that and wanted answers to what happened that night. More so that they felt different since that night and started to show signs that they had magic. Which led this group of students, after some research and poking around, to be contacted by Ann's grandmother, Martha. Who, after much talk, revealed the truth. Ann was a mage who accidentally revealed herself to a cult and wished to stop Ann from finishing what she was doing. Which was learning more about the Watchers and how to stop the cult's patron, a being known as the Fallen One, from returning to Earth.

After learning of this, and that Martha was a mage herself. When pressed about the Watchers and the blue orb Ann was carrying. Martha hesitantly revealed that they were an ancient order of mages who defended humanity from magical threats, but had since been wiped out, and the order was long dead. Martha knew this since she had helped Ann with her research, and her involvement was not exposed. But the orb she knew little about, and all she knew was that it was a Watcher relic of some kind.

But as it turned out, there was in legends that there was still one last Watcher base out there that was still intact, and before Ann was killed. She sent the info to Martha, and she had discovered the long-lost Watcher base. Which Martha would guess that the orb had somehow either given them magic or awakened their magical potential.

The group with this knowledge, despite the warnings from Martha, who did not want to be apart of this anymore. Choose to travel to the Watcher base and revive the order, and become the new Watchers. To learn about the cult that sent the monster to attack their university and how to stop them. But learn more about the Watchers and how to learn about their magic in the process.

Samuel Evans



So this night is going to be a long one, Samuel thought as he listened to everything happening around him. He pulled out his poker chip, looking at it like he was studying it. If Ezekiel is not the one behind them, leading all of them here, then why did these poker chips lead them here? Maybe it was the tower, like the chips were attracted by the signal or something else.

Samuel put his poker chip back into his pocket, and he can say he was glad that the Snakes were not waiting for him here, and this was not a trap by them. Which had him relieved, and as he listened to what the others were saying and discussing. While Samuel did not say it, he did not recognize the person who was Kalen was looking for. Alot of people come to Vegas, and it is a big city. Even a local like him cannot help with this, and Samuel felt a bit useless in this situation.

But that soon changed when he heard Kalen say Trouble is coming and looked at one of the CCTV monitors, and it looked like he was right. Samuel sighed, since of all the times he carried a pistol on him. Tonight was not that night, and he mentally kicked himself in the head for the oversight. The time he needed it, and he left it behind.

Then, responding to the question that Nate asked. "I do not have a gun on me, but I know how to fight and use a gun if anyone has a spare." Samuel feeling a bit useless again right now. "But, I am fine if we decide on running for it." Samuel, looking back at the CCTV monitor. "We might to able to take him if we got enough people who know how to fight and backup is not coming."

Eldemir Akinci

Location: St. Eustace's School - Library



That took longer than I expected, Eldemir thought as he left the training room after finally cleaning up the training room of broken practice dummies. He departed for his next destination. Which was the library, since it was the time of the day when he could relax for a time before needing to help with more students. While the library is not his go-to place to relax, that is the school garden. He always enjoyed reading books, and the school's library has a good collection of books to read while he is off duty.

He sighed at the thought, off duty. While he does enjoy his off time at the school. Eldemir is really not off duty when at the school. He just has times he would rather have his own time to relax, but is still willing ot help out a student if approached or seems like they need the help. Eldemir is a member of the faculty after all and is employed there for a reason. If he does not want to help the students here, then he has no reason to be here.

So after passing by some students and teachers. Eldemir made his way to the library and was greeted by the familiar sight and smell of the library, with all of its books and students studying whatever they needed to.

Today, Eldemir was not picky about what he wanted to read today but he had an idea of what kind of book he wished to read. He headed to the history section, and after some time, browsing the large selection of books on the bookshelves. He found his choice, "there you are." He said softly as he pulled the book from the bookshelf and looked around keenly for an empty spot of his choosing.

After finding a perfect spot near the windows. Eldemir walked over and sat down, and started reading his book. Though he would be open to anyone who wished his attention, if anyone in the library desired as much.
