Either RolePlayerGuild.com is glitching, or everyone is studiously ignoring my PMs.

Do you have a name in mind for the continent this RP takes place on?

The Faraway Land. :P

More seriously, the setting is on an extraterrestrial world that was colonized by Earthlings and then left alone to its own devices. Why they're not more advanced is a long story. To summarize it, a HUGE demon invasion pretty much wiped all civilization off the map. Together with the Guardians that suddenly appeared, the fledgling races were able to repel them, but by then, it was too late - the damage was done. It's been a few thousand years since that climactic battle, and the races are still struggling to regain their footing in the world.

It was called Crescent Prime by its settlers, named after the ancient Fertile Crescent from real world history. People call it "The Crescent" or just "Prime."
@Thinslayer

Have you established a pantheon of gods for this world yet?

That's a subject I'm kind of touchy on. I don't mind characters believing in other gods so long as they're not established as real in-game. For example, if you decided that a character believes in the Goddess Hylia (from Zelda), you can't have her come down and say things to a character, grant him powers, or stuff like that. Religion is a key aspect of human life, so there's no point in pretending otherwise.
Would an example of that be the stories that you do with the captain? Cause if we can do like other stories that'd be cool.

Absolutely! We're in The Faraway Land, the place where fairy tales came from. There can't NOT be weird and awesome stories going on around here. I've already got talking wolves and demon invasions slated, so knock yourself out! :P
@Thinslayer

I vaguely remember you saying that we're allowed to shape this world's lore as we see fit so long as it doesn't conflict with any lore that hasn't already been established. Did you actually say this, or is my mind just messing with me?

It's definitely something I've said before, no question. Whether I said it in the context of this RP is more debatable. If not...well, guess I'd better say it then!

Anyone may shape the world's lore so long as it doesn't conflict with other established lore or substantially change the main story. ^_^
Something still seems really off about how the camping scene is playing out. I can't quite put my finger on it. It seems almost...boring. Ugh, I can't wait to get the conflict kicked off.
The "will you marry me?" wish. ^_^
<Snipped quote by Thinslayer>

Except wedding rings don't grant wishes.

They grant one person's wish.
The ring tightening isn't supposed to hurt. It's just supposed to be tight enough that it can't be easily removed, like a wedding ring.
@Thinslayer well i thought laina was talking with gorman

That's true. But he's still present and probably able to overhear it; there's no reason why he can't try to butt in. :P
@Darkmoon Angel
Consider having Ivan talk to Laina while he's carving up the deer. That was the idea behind her asking for help making dinner. ;)

@Lord Zee
Sounds good! Can't wait to see how Tiberius handles this woman's wiles.
