Drama, misunderstandings, and arguments are part and parcel with collaborative efforts. As psychologists and therapists have pointed out, conflict is important to developing healthy relationships - they're integral to the "relating" part. People are different, so they're naturally going to spar as they figure out how to live with each other. The outcome is relationship. There's no need to leave over that. You had a concern, and we hammered it out.
I'm not terribly cut out for a nation RP either, which is why I'm trying to steer away from it. I'm still hammering out the plot. And there's definitely room for MMORPG-style hero business; if Conejitoooo ever comes back, I was thinking Rei could be The Villain All Along, since she's definitely got the right foundation for that. And the way the Voidspawn are shaping up, they might have some Big Bads among them. Each nation has its own miserable pile of secrets they don't want uncovered, so there are bound to be sub-bosses for the heroes to fight along the way. I think MacKenzie still has a place here.
@Zool But I like MacKenzie and really want to see where you take her. I'm a fan of her character. ;_;

@Zool My working plan for the RP was to eventually put the players in charge of their own factions, where they could lead the fight against the Voidspawn in much the same way the Witch does. Of course, I don't think anybody signed up for a Nation RP, and I wanted the PCs to work together, so I was thinking maybe they'd all be part of the same faction - like Chatak's, for instance. Killing the Witch wasn't supposed to be the end goal, but it was supposed to be perceived as the end goal because it plays a role in the PCs' development. If they can develop a more nuanced judgment of the world, the experience gained will help them unite the world peacefully, which the Witch was unable to do.
@Zool But that's the thing, though - I think the experience you were looking for is one I wanted to deliver. I want your characters to be important protagonists to this story. They're not supposed to be 'side characters.' If I'm not delivering that, something needs to change.
And you're not so unimportant that dropping out wouldn't be felt. I think changing things for you would be worth the effort.
