Melody is a charming and cheerful young woman, facing the future with hopeful (and arguably naive) optimism. She tends to fuss about her appearance quite often, always keen to look her absolute best, even in casual affairs. She is ever curious and always striving to learn more, and her many years of tutelage have granted her a wide array of knowledge. However, she has also lived a very sheltered and carefully contained life, meaning her experience with the "real world" is dangerously limited. She can be very naive and easily fooled, trusting those who should not be and failing to see the hook for the bait.
Melody's biggest passion is music, and she often jokes that it's that very love that prompted her parents to name her as they did. She can play both piano and violin, often foregoing the traditional classical pieces in favor of lively, often improvised pieces of her own. She also enjoys dancing, both formal and freestyle. Even without instruments, she can often be found singing or humming to herself.
Background:
The Herzal family is one of wealth and great business acumen, with five generations of family-owned business becoming a country-spanning chain. Melody is the youngest of three children, meaning she spent much of her life being spoiled rotten, wanting for nothing. The finest clothing, the newest toys, and even a trio of high-end vehicles; whatever she wanted, she received with very little coaxing. However, even as the youngest child, Melody was expected to uphold the value of the Herzal name, meaning she was tutored rigorously from early childhood by experts in their various fields. Even if she would never grow to run the family business, she was still raised on a strict routine of study, charm, and grace. In short, she was raised to be a happy, placid trophy.
Because of this, although she is very intelligent, her experiences with reality and other people are very limited. She has often been called naive and gullible, and while her charm and cheer delight many, few would ever trust her with making important decisions. She doesn't particularly mind, of course; after all, she's lived her entire life carefree. Why worry about such things now? After all, what could possibly shake up a life so pleasant as hers?
