Welcome to Catharsis

This place exists outside of time and space. It appears when you need it, and it appears differently to everyone.

To some, it's a dimly lit tavern with mead and candlelight. To others, a sleek bar on a distant space station. A café. An enchanted teahouse. A quiet corner booth in a diner at 3am. Catharsis shifts based on your past and current state of mind. Even the other patrons may be perceived differently.

Among it all, the keeper serves drinks, listens, says little. They've heard it all before. Nothing you say will shock them. Nothing you confess will be judged.

This is a place to unburden yourself.

Bring a character from any world, time, or genre, or a version of yourself, and let them speak. Something they've been holding onto. A regret. A truth they've never said aloud. A weight they need to set down. Good or bad. Real or imagined. Whatever needs to be said.

Other customers may be present. You can interact with them or ignore them entirely. The choice is yours.

How to Play:

Jump in anytime with any length post. Your character can speak to the keeper, to another customer, to the room itself, or they can keep their thoughts internal, unspoken. Either way, they will be heard. Leave or stay as long as you like. Visit once, or return again and again.

Guidelines:

• Use this space however you need: to lighten your own burdens or experiment with character concepts and backstories
• The RP framework protects everyone: what's real and what's fiction is yours alone to know
• No doxxing or identifying information
• Follow all other Roleplayer Guild rules

Catharsis - Share Your Burdens [Multi-Genre Jump-In RP]

I'm planning an RP about a place called Catharsis: a mysterious space that exists outside time and appears differently to everyone depending on where they came from and their mental state (like a bar, teahouse, café, etc.).

Characters from any setting can drop in to share what's weighing on them. Posts can be any length, a few sentences or multiple paragraphs. Characters can interact with each other or just speak their piece and leave. Think of it as a confessional/safe space wrapped in RP format with full plausible deniability (though other characters may still react however they choose). It's also a place to experiment with character concepts and explore backstories.

Since this RP doesn't have strict post length requirements, allows one-off or overarching stories, and welcomes any genre/setting, which thread would fit best: Free, Casual, or Advanced?

And what tags would you look for to find an RP like this? Should I just select all the available tags?
