I'd like to make the 2nd oldest Coulbourne Son if that's alright with everyone.
"We can keep this entire situation between us. I'm more than content to just sitting here the rest of the battle. My mother raised me to be more of a lover than a fighter anyway. Now, I'm going to drop my guns and turn around. It's not that I don't trust you, I just don't trust you."

Jax chuckled at his own joke. He then turned around to face the marine who was obviously injured in some shape or form. Hypothetically, the more injured his enemy was, the more likely Jax would be able to escape, if not pull out his secret plan. This guy was obviously much stronger than him and wouldn't let his guard down. Jax would have to rely on his on speed to get out as quickly as possible. This met he needed to buy time to build up energy.

Though, it might make sense to sacrifice himself for his teammates by dragging this obviously injured man into the middle of the fight in order to draw the attention of all of the pirates. The dream would be to drop him in the middle of nowhere with a grenade. That would not be what his mother or his family would want him to do. Could he betray the way he was raised to help his crew? If he got the Marine to a doctor he could save his life. That might bet the best idea in the long run, but it might get an enemy out of the fight.

Are you gonna die? If so, please don't do it near me. I am just an awful doctor. I could take you to a doctor if you want. I don't stand a chance against you. So we could stay up here and you might bleed out. You could attack me, but I'd be able to at least get you close to the battle. I could attack you, and then you'd probably take me out. Or I could take you to a doctor, so you definitely don't die. I'm fine with whatever, any of these options help my crew.

@NachoBachoPacho Before the IC started my powers were changed from portals to materialization. I said he appeared and teleported, there was never a portal to reach through.
@NachoBachoPacho In my post I stated that Jax got in and out. By the end of my post Jax was back at his vantage point.
This is not how Jax thought this day would go. At worst he thought it would just be a smash and grab, but no. There had to be these crazy marines showing up with powers that were way more than he had. Which means he had to resort on using his brilliant tactics...he's doomed. Or at least he thought he was until he saw a gorilla flying through the air and hammer what seemed like a giant nail into the ground. That gave him an idea.

If the gorilla wanted to fly so much, why shouldn't Jax make his dreams come true? Anaru also seemed to talk to much and was rather braggadocios when he proclaimed that the pirates won't escape because he was there. Not because of any of the other marines, but because a talking gorilla was here to save the day. Jax appeared behind Anaru, held on to him and teleported all the way up into the sky. He then used his short form teleportation to move his hands all around the gorilla and fired as many shots as he could before getting out of there. He went back to his vantage point to continue to view the battle.

If he had any other openings to do this to any of the enemies, it might be able to give his allies a much needed rest at least for a short amount of time. The man with the scythe and Zepp might be harder to take out with this plan, but if he was able to catch them be surprise it might just work. He also had his secret weapon still available for some high level destruction if that's what it had to come to.

Hey guys. I've been traveling all day so sorry I didn't write a post today. I will get one up within 30 minutes from when I wake up.
Jax didn't quite know what was happening with the enemy. He was moving all around the place like a shadow, and it seemed like he knew some kind of high level of martial arts. This would have been bad news for anyone if it was a one on one fight, but the crew was together and the prisoner was even helping out.

Jax started taking pot shots in the general direction of the Marine to make him think that he found a good spot and was trying to actually take him out. With the help of the crazed man's explosions the Marine was on the back foot a little and was forced to focus completely on the man causing the most damage. Zepp's attacks seemed to travel invisibly and instantly, that would make them had to counter if he couldn't properly time them.

Just like his captain had some new tricks up his sleeve, so did Jax. He no longer just had guns but reconfigured his gun powder into a form of grenade that would cause wide spread damage so he couldn't use it when his allies were around. He would have to wait for the perfect time to teleport down, grab the man, teleport both of them, place the grenade, and then get out of there. Even then, that wasn't a complete guarantee. He might not have the energy if the battle beforehand is too exhaustive.

Zepp aimed massive attacks toward Xerxes, and then aimed his attention toward Jax's crew members. "You may be fast, but I'm pretty sure I'm faster." Jax felt like trash talking the opponent from this distance was a safer bet than getting in his face. He used his short form teleportation and one of his hands appeared hidden in the bushes near the battle. Jax kept taking pot shots towards the man when Jax saw the man slam his heel into the ground and Jax decided to take a chance. Right at that moment, Jax materialized his hand again right behind Zepp's bag. He took a shot right into the man's back and Jax brought his hand right back to him. Jax needed to find out if he could even do damage to this man with a regular pistol.

Jax couldn't believe his bad luck, first they come to this forsaken island, next there were explosions in the town the Red Hoods docked in and that means they will probably be blamed for them. Now, the crew probably ran into a Navy officer before they even make it to the prison. He's not openly wearing any gear, but it's not everyday that citizens try and catch escaped prisons. There was also this prisoner who Jax assumed is a deranged lunatic due to the long line of destruction he left in his wake.

Jax overheard the Navy man make empty threats to Dirk. This man is probably insane, there are three of them and only one of him. Jax felt pretty confident in his ability to take out this guy without even breaking a sweat, but that's probably because of the freezing temperatures. He heard his captain acting as if they weren't trying to break anyone out of the prison. Even if the Marine doesn't find that out, he probably wouldn't let the crew get away. They are all wanted men, and the Navy probably wouldn't want news spread that they let someone escape. The World Government are always big on their cover-ups.

"Captain," Jax whispered to Sunny, do you think it is the best idea to just stand hear and ask him questions? This man will probably attack us, so we should strike first to catch him off guard. Jax looked down at his captain who seemed distant to the situation. Something was obviously was on his mind other than the fight that is about to start, whether it is the town or something about the prison, Jax didn't know. He did know that his captain needs to get his head right before it was too late.

Jax slipped back towards the town in order to teleport to a ledge with a good vantage point of where everyone was located. He didn't want to let either of the strangers know what he was capable of, so it was easier to take either of them by surprise. This time Jax wouldn't take his eyes of the situation, so he could react accordingly and react quickly.

But I mean, higher than his Captain's, by such an amount? Arlong suck the ship of a Rear Admiral (And it didn't seem like a big deal to him.) And his bounty was what, 25 Mil?

Not that the bounties actually matter, but 75 seems excessive this early in the grandline.
-@Hillan
It is typical of the Navy and the World Government to overreact to slights toward them. And to be fair, the use of an early bounty is sorta moot. Brownbeard had a bounty of 80,060,000, and he had less of an impact than Arlong did. Arlong also bribed marines and kept a low profile on purpose to avoid attracting Jinbe's attention. He had the strength of a bounty of 100 million, but his real world threat was much less than that. He stayed in a small village and basically only picked on them. Bounties are signs more of threats than strength.
He successfully mutinied, stole a ship, and stole a devil fruit. The navy's failure is now more public, so they would want to do whatever it takes to keep it under wraps. He was also at the Loguetown conflict, so combining those two factors it makes sense for the Navy to increase his bounty to that amount. We talked about it and thought it made sense.
