The next one would be mine, sure. But I'd prefer to wait it out because I know that the other team leader that my manager was forced to take on is actually the worst person ever. He's.. Lethargic. Really he's just lazy but he can't be on the counters, he won't last two weeks and then his job will be open. Not that I have any ill will towards the guy I just don't like seeing someone in a high position being lazy when I know I missed it by the skin of my teeth and my boss knows what I can do as a colleague and now as team leader.


Totally understandable. Unless your place follows the despicable Peter Principal. But yeah, I get it.
