Well, expressing your dislike for something in the OOC as a reason for something is better than acting poorly with your characters IC. Also, what if someone else wants to get some information? Also, for all you know, I may have something planned where this is your only interaction with Dracmon. And don't you think it'd be good for the characters to get an inkling of what's wrong or why they're there? Or maybe a direction of where they could go to get supplies? Or where the danger is so they can avoid it if they want, and fight it when they're ready? This is more about keeping the group together and not having anyone excluded than anything else, to be honest.
Firstly, I mainly wanted to easily answer one question with the system I build- what do I do when I get hit. (I admit, it ended up a tad similar to the Pokemon stats, but that's because a single offense and defense stop being logical when there's machines and fireballs and swords and possible-magic and some monsters who just chew on things or slash them to death.)
Also, there is no spirit of "No Digimon is weak". Numemon is the epitome of weak, but it's because you did it wrong. (ZeedMilleniummon is like, totally out of playable category. Any DM who thinks of letting a player have even regular Millenniummon should rethink that. It'd be like letting a player in DnD play a Terasque or Beholder.) I take your comments, but at the same time, well, I just want to see how it goes. (And this is basically the same iteration to test. I just want to see the opinions of someone who didn't make it being the DM.)
I do like the Generation stat. I feel like it's something that can only be represented in Digimon that way. Although I do admit it was inspired by the WoD Vampire notation of being closer or farther from the original Vampire, which may have been a stat by the same name. (But for Digimon, bigger is better, and in WoD, it's apparently a lower number you want. I've heard that's a reason for a vampire to eat another vampire.)

Hey, I'm not saying you have to power-game. I'm just starting with a version one of something I think fits Digimon better than a simple DnD homebrew setting/houserules or the only other Digimon Tabletop I've seen (which had the whole "What do I do when I get hit" problem. It arranged Digimon by size, but made that the only real defense that I saw, which is odd on two counts, such as the actual armor on the Digimon, and the event of small yet powerful Digimon, like Pixiemon or Marine Angemon. Like, can an Agumon take less Damage from a Greymon, or does a Piximon take more?) and didn't seem too memorable, because I can't remember what it was called, or how you Digivolve. Well, maybe not un-memorable, but my memory escapes me on its name. It's just not for me.

Well, mine's similar, but I've seen more of Frontier and less of Savers/Data Squad, watched what parts of XrosWars that are on Netflix, and played the DigimonRumbleArena series, Digimon Battle Spirit 2, Digimon World, Digimon World 3, Digimon World 4, Digimon World Data Squad, Digimon World Dawn, and Digimon WorldChampionships. (Only beat DW4(on the starting Difficulty) and basically beat DWDawn but didn't save because I wanted to train. Main story's over I think?) I would appreciate you as an assessor/lurker, in either RP, because the first, partially due to my own fault, isn't really off the ground yet. I do plan on making a version 2, but not before providing a supplement to allow fair play of Royal Knights and Dark Area Digimon/Demon Lords. Demon Lords being enemies of course.
In hello. 10 yrs ago Forum: Introduce Yourself
Hi! Welcome to the guild! Hopefully you find a roleplay you'd like to join and which you enjoy.
Bump.
@VKAllenYou still interested?
Okay, the first thing is- leaving like that is just bad form. No, I don't remember. Honestly first person posts can be a bit hard to read sometimes, but not all the time. Plus, that was a while ago, and I may have been tired/feeling a bit under the weather. I don't remember. Also, Remus went and got your character, so, because you didn't play out any interaction there, I assumed your characters were still within the clearing. I would like to ask that you please edit your last post to have your characters present in the clearing (as Dracmon's about to get talking, especially if the right questions are asked. Player action's going to matter. You don't get to magically know things for nothing.). Plus, it was more a matter of asking the right question. And, in his own way, Dracmon did give answers. I decided to go a different route than the blind drop or the kindly-elderly-master-tells-you-everything methods. In addition, you'd have no idea how long it takes to get 'out' of said forest, or what the terrain is actually like, or what might try to eat you in the process. It could have been a plateau forest and your characters could have walked off the edge. Just saying that keeping your whits about you and letting me deal with one area at a time would behoove everyone, since I don't want to be running like a mad man, operating separate encounters, and trying to keep track of a splintered group.
Sorry do chew you out like that, but I question why one would join a group roleplaying session, wherein collaboration tells the story, and almost immediately have their character(s). Leave the group. I have half a mind to have you attacked, but I'm willing to accept that we both have fault in this, and allow you to edit your last post to keep things going. If no one else can play off it, it's almost not worth writing in this type of situation. Plus, as I've said before, Baby Digimon can't fight well. On the narrative side, you have a not specifically athletic or confident highschool kid and a big legless salamander with ears and no tail going into a strange, unknown, alien world, the latter of whom has already admitted he's not a match for the not-so-large Dracmon. Mechanically, now you've cut yourself off from the only support network you have, you don't have many resources, and you know you don't have much of an edge in any kind of fight. I really don't see where it's coming from. I'll give you fair warning, if you're going to be "that guy" who has his character be a constant loner, that won't fly when everyone's supposed to work together to win.
@LugiaWhat are you talking about plains? Also, for the sake of story, can we not have a massive crater yet? Like, please stay your characters with the group right now? I'm trying to get things going so stuff can happen, ya know? I appreciate creative freedoms and stuff, but at the same time, you've been stated as being in a clearing in the middle of the woods. Okay?
Ah, I see.
I know DnD is Dungeons and Dragons, and I guessed that PF is Pathfinder, the ones I didn't know were AGE and OVA.

I prefer leaving things open myself, but I'm not the DM.
(The tabletop games you abbreviated)

Ah, don't know any of them, but okay. We have three players and one DM, basically. But I'm not sure how many players we want/need.
