Kay, was just relaying information I had asked Double about earlier.
Updates the original post with some relevant information, and also posting my (mostly complete) character. I just need to decide what he looks like.
@Letter Bee Character accepted.
@Ryougu Welcome aboard. Have any character ideas?
@M127 Character accepted.
Like Mega Man X style action, (almost) bizarrely specific, anime style super powers, and futuristic, metropolitan settings? Well, if you do, welcome! Hi, how are you? Doing well I hope. Thanks for showing up! Now, on to the story bits-

Adepts- Individuals with superhuman powers. These powers, called Septima (or Septimal Powers) come from cells called Septisomes, the configuration of which allows the Adept to control the elements, manipulate technology, grants psyonic abilities, or shape reality. However, each Septima only effects one unique area, regardless of how powerful the Adept is who wields it.

The appearance of these Adepts, which has increased in recent years, has caused a rift between these powered individuals, and the general populace. When the strain seemed to be reaching a breaking point, a rising corporation, called the Sumeragi Group, bought the majority of the world's power distribution grids, and presented their solution. Under their guidance, humans and Adepts would live in peace. The speed of the Sumeragi Group's research into Adepts was astounding, and brought many advances to technology.

However, there is a growing unrest in Adept communities around the world. National Leaders begin drafting laws in attempts to control Adepts, and activist groups begin claiming the Sumeragi group is involved in illegal activities, but these claims never seem to last.

Your adventure begins in the near future, when the Sumeragi Group is poised for solid control over major industrial points all around the world. You will play Adepts and humans in the small Asian country which houses Sumeragi's headquarters, and find out what awaits you in this brave new world.

@Acid Hippie Just so you know, we're not really doing a turn order.
Not from me at least.
Hello synthetic one! Welcome to the guild! Hope that your in-with-the-new brings you fun new ideas with other intelligent individuals in your writing endeavors!
I did a thing- sorry for taking so long.
Haruka's gaze slid to the side, locking a cold, acidic glare on the younger girl who had addressed him.
"Yes, it's quite a shame," he replied, a slight lilt to his voice, still not moving his chilly gaze, shifting his D-Scanner to a more natural position in his hand, "That parents would allow such delinquency in children is simply deplorable."
Now, he had turned, and was slowly walking towards the back of the room, his sights now anywhere but on the blond girl, though it appeared he was still addressing her- if you could really call it that with his distant, almost disinterested tone and gait.
"Especially with the birth rate what it is," he remarked again, though it was unclear exactly who could hear, as only the blond girl was likely paying attention, "Abhorrent delinquents like that would never be able to successfully have children," he made as a final, slightly more quiet remark.
Now near the middle-back of the room on the far side from the door, and facing away from the projector, he held out the D-Scanner in his hand. His eyes were caught by the ring and trigger on one end, and he fitted it onto his index finger, finding that it fit rather comfortably. Holding out his hand, he placed his finger on the trigger, pointing the screen towards the open area on the floor.
"Alright, let's see what this has got."
There was the sound of something charging, then a whirring noise, as thin beams of light began to shine out of the screen, hitting near the ground. Soon, more shone out, until they made a strange, shaped grid. Something seemed to be flowing from the device now, filling the free-standing grid, until, with a flash, a brown and white creature floated there.
The Bakumon drifted in the air on its wispy tail for a moment, before turning to look around the room, its expression placid. Haruka, on the other hand, was fighting back a bewildered, dumbfounded expression.
Sorry for taking so long.
