I don't want to have to disect everything- makes it feel less like a conversation and more like an attack. However, since it's what you wanted:
In fact, Varana has spent a fair amount of time over the years among the scholarly Ce-Matoran, learning what he can from them, often interviewing the eldest of the Ce-Matoran regarding times past, and such momentous events as the Great Exodus and the heroic feats of the mighty Toa. Varana has also traversed the eerily quiet halls of the temple of De-Congro, poring over any texts contained within the sacred building, as well as searching for any hidden treasures and lost texts the temple may house when he's certain no one is looking. As of now, he has yet to find anything of particular interest even within the most remote corners of the temple.

This right here- if I want to reveal something later, and I know I will, I don't want to run into contradictions of "Varana already knew that, and wasn't surprised" or things like "Why didn't Varana find that already?". It's a little too much getting around that opens a bit too many questions that I haven't had opportunities to answer yet.
A large, heavy, and wickedly sharp sword that he found hidden under an old shrine in Fe Congro. He is convinced that it once belonged to a Toa, but has thus far been unable to figure out what it does other than slow him down and cut through virtually anything like warm butter (the floor of his workshop is littered with grooves carved by him dragging the sword around). He keeps this sword in his workshop most of the time since it's too big to lug around with him everywhere even if it would make a formidable weapon if he could wield it (which he can't).

This should not exist in Kongero Nui honestly. No one was there to lose it, there was no reason to make it, as there hasn't been a Toa in Kongero Nui.

Honestly, six discs is still a lot, but it's a bit more reasonable. Still, since he's in refurbishing and not full on mask crafting, it raises the question of where, and more importantly how, he got them.
@Sedjwick In the future, I would prefer edits to reposts. In this instance specifically, though, you only changed the disc issue, and not any of the other more pressing matters that we discussed story-wise. The big issue being that it speaks directly counter to what I established in the opening post- namely that Toa have faded into mystery and that the Matoran of the Great Exodus built Kongero Nui themselves. Honestly it feels like you're trying to have your character "know all the secrets", so that you can use outside knowledge to your advantage. And frankly, that, plus your unwillingness to allow a barrier of knowledge, minor though it may be, between yourself as a player and myself as a GM, well, it's not necessarily a good sign. I can't say your character's accepted until I am fairly sure this won't create an issue of uncooperation in the future.
@Jove It's a little simple, but nothing's fundamentally wrong with it. I would like to get a better idea of what you have in mind long-term though.
@Jove Thanks for showing up! To ease your concerns, I don't aim for this to be a particularly rapid game.
@Argetlam350 Your character's accepted btw.
@Sedjwick You'll find answers eventually. But I'm not tipping my hand this early.
@Sedjwick I never said he can't believe it. However, a Matoran with a too-big sword does much more harm than good.
Also, the first (few) Turaga were built as such. For example, the Turaga who sent all the Matoran on his island to Karzahni for 'repairs', whom went mad, was one such individual. Just as the Toa Mata, and the first examples of Toa, were never Matoran.
@Sedjwick The character concept is good, however, there are a few issues. Firstly, knowing whether or not Toa exist/have existed for sure isn't that easy to get around. There were no Toa involved in the entire Exodus group, and thus no relics from Toa to exist to be collected. That means the sword by proxy is void. Also, I'd rather have what Kanoka discs he has be clear, as opposed to a "random assortment". In addition, they're larger than his head in diameter and fairly thick, so I think carrying twelve of them would be somewhat difficult.
@Reflection Cool, cool. Keep me abreast of your thought process?
Still looking for and accepting players!
