Tsukai was pleased with his first mission, Farm work was very physically intensive and he needed all the physical training he could get, maybe it would help him grow? As Matsuo came to a close he tagged on, talking directly to Tsukai, warning him of Joichiro's ill intentions.
Taking a glare at Joichiro, "What are you scared of? Focus on the mission. There isn't a competition between the two of us. We only compete the other teams."
It felt kind of wrong double chastising Joichiro because Matsuo defiantly handled it, But he wanted to make sure Joichiro knew he was serious and focused on being the best squad in the village. Matsuo started moving out and Tsukai followed suit, leaving the words said behind and giving Joichiro the benefit of the doubt.
