She listened but didn't seem to be paying much attention. Looking up at the ceiling she didn't seem all there. "Your planet, your problem. I came for something. Can't help that happened to be around the same time as a building got blown up by one guy." Taking a deep breath and exhaling she strained again to get her hands free. The metal groaned and creaked before twisted her arms slightly and the bolts gave. Taking the shackles she threw them at the wall as hard as she could to try and break it. That didn't work and the collar around her neck puffed a little gas in response. That tiny amount so close was enough to cause her to stumble and fall over on the flimsy chair which broke under her.

Not moving for a bit she eventually glanced at her still shackled feet. "Oh, forgot about those." Slowly getting up she held her head with one hand briefly to collect her thoughts. "I haven't been myself for a long time. How I look and how I act are a side effect of an unfinished process I was talking about. I wanted to help bring species back from the brink. But I made the mistake of trying to revive the Czarnians." Stopping again for a breather she pointed to a box that her things had been collected in. "Actually, just check my data pad. It will probably explain it better."
Dane Parish, and Lillian Gerald

Speak with him? The tiny woman didn't get a chance to comment before the owl left to check on the ensuing battle. It was a subject she didn't want to think about. Sighing softly she moved and landed on Dane so he could see her better.Thankfully the man was restrained else he could crush her easily. As small as she was he would barely feel her walking closer to his face. "I'm trying to make this easier for you, Dane. But I'm not going to be able to stop them from hurting you."

Dane did not respond. He just shook his head, recovering from a short coughing fit. He reared his head back and gave Lillian a quick look before shutting his eyes, trying to rest them.

Giving him a little time she eventually continued. "I know you don't believe me. That I'm Lillian, but it's true. I left you a note about spotting some Nymphs and that I would go after them. You were my backup in case I didn't..."

"Just-" Dane cut in quickly, "Just shut yer fucking mouth, stop-" He started panting again, then he started yelling, stamping his feet repeatedly, trying to break free of his binds. After a moment, he gave up the attempt, and settled back down. He was on the verge of tears.

Empahy was never a skill of Lillian's Her job had required her to be tough as nails and to shrug off anything. Dane's tears would have prompted her to give him a quick slap to the face to snap him out of it. But fairies were keen to emotions. It drove them and guided their actions. Now she was feeling the desperation and fear of her former commander. Tears began to roll down her cheeks before his. "S-stop. I can feel it. I can feel what you're feeling and I can't take it." Covering her face with her hand she wished to block it out but couldn't. "Dane please, it hurts. It hurts... so much." Collapsing her hands gripped the cloth of his shirt, tugging slightly.
@Sep
Run with it.

I'm loving this exchange. Very inciteful.

Sorry for not replying to you right away. I was in a bit of a hurry. I edited in my post.

@KatherinWinter
So do you need something for Arnold to do? Because he could potentially be with Nicholas, June, and Reinhardt.
Still accepting?

I'm pretty sure they are. Not like there is a character cap on those already here so it's a safe bet that you can start on a CS.
Lady Lobo
Overhearing Flood talk about her she whirled around, nearing falling in the process. "I was not trying to get anything from the students. They aren't nearly unique enough to warrant my expertise. I wanted the Kryptonian and Martian samples mostly. Humans are so... so boring." She glanced at Estella again. "Though she also fits the criteria. A rare alien species just waiting to make a comeback." Her attention wandering she seemed to be daydreaming.

Estella
This was the second time that the crazy woman mentioned her being rare in some fashion. What exactly did she mean but that? Stepping closer she crossed her arms. "What do you mean rare? My people aren't from anywhere near here. How would you know anything about them?" Somehow she couldn't believe that Lady knew about her homeworld.

Lady Lobo
Shaking her head she rolled her eyes. "How out of touch can you be. They were practically wiped out after their fifth Interplanetary War." Glancing at Estella the shock on her face conveyed that she didn't know about the battle. It couldn't have been that long ago in her species history. How could she not know about it? "Wait, you seriously didn't know? Have you been living under an asteroid? That was like a hundred years ago." That drew an even bigger response and Estella's stomach dropped.

Estella
Two wars? She missed two interplanetary wars during her flight here? Covering her mouth she turned and stepped away to compose herself. She hadn't heard anything about her world since arriving on Earth. This was an extra shock to an already bad situation. The only difference was that there was absolutely nothing she could do for her people.

June
"You'll be out in an hour. Sit tight while I get the arrangements set for you." Motioning that they were done the officers came back in to escort Reinhardt back out. "See you soon." Once they were clear and back at the front office she handed the warden the docs to get their teammate. Looking at Nicholas she smiled slightly. "Alright, so we'll have our third shortly."

Putting a couple fingers up to her lips she pondered their options. Looking for alternatives wouldn't be a bad idea. After a minute she spoke. "I think you're right. We should see what other options there are in town. Then we can go get a job." Getting a job together also insinuated another thing. "So does that mean we're a teammates then? We just need one or two more and we'll be a full team for bigger jobs." This was exciting. Man the Light personality was so much better. She'll probably keep it for a while.

Anna

The sound drew closer still and then stopped until a skull covered in slime shot into view. Even without eyes the thing was clearly studying the girl. The brief moment of silence must have felt forever before the thing spoke. It had a soft but reverberatory voice. It was something she spent a lot of time practicing to make sound less gargled. "Hello, my name is Anna. Are you hurt?" For the moment she didn't seem to care that the one before her likely shouldn't be there. That required a lot more thinking that was normally put forth by the slime girl.

Taking a step back she knelt down which caused her legs to fold up into one continuous blob with the bones suspended together. "You look hurt to me. And scared. Why are you scared?" After asking the question it occurred to her that her appearance had startled a few other people on occasion. "Don't worry. I won't hurt you. I like to help. Is there something I can do to help you?" Try as she might her naivete was quite strong. It has happened more than once that that was taken advantage of.

Lillian

This was not exactly what Lillian had wanted. The newly transformed woman sat in the corner, a fraction of her former size. From toe to wing tip she stood a mere 15 inches. Since her arrival in Valdoa just a day and a half ago her entire world had changed. She dared not leave the clinic for fear of what lay outside. Monsters and strange creatures, all of which seemed to tower over her and could end her should they so choose. If they know who she was, what she has done, they may.

At this point the only thing that lay between her and death was Kantus. In her confusion and panic she outed herself as the emeny. The strange owl man had been kind to her up until that point, tending to her wounds with a gentle touch. Back against the wall it was survival that prompted the fairy to divulge what she knew of the Fifty-Eighter's attack. Where they were coming, around what time they should arrive, everything she could remember at the time.

And now her leader was before her. Her comrads up on the mountian were dying to who knows what and it was her fault. Lillian was torn between two worlds and there was no way to go back. Breaking out of the emotional tug of war she fluttered over and lighed by Parish. Saluting slightly she looked broken. Knowing the man well they served together on many a hunt. There was little chance the Red Raider would recognize her now other than when they attempted to take her life two days ago. "Dane, it's Lillian. Ol' Lil? I know you don't recognize me, it's a long story. But please, cooperate and maybe they'll be kind to you."
Just making sure.
