She seemed slightly relieved to hear that he'd slept. The question posed gave her pause, but she did appear to be thinking about it. "It definitely feels different. I'm trying to think of how to explain it." Any hostility from before seemed to have gone away with the previous personality. This one was not so much cooperative as perhaps, invested, as she watched Tidius with care. Onset of Stockholm syndrome or just this personality, hard to tell.

Having given the question time to process she looked up. "The best I can come up with is this. The other magics are something I can use, like a tool. Even though I have it, it isn't quite a part of me. But this is more like there isn't a separation between me and the magic. I can feel it running through me. Even sustaining me. I had no idea this was possible." Even though the restraints prevented most of the use of her magic, holding out a hand a small bud appeared on her palm. After a few seconds it sprouted and grew, forming leaves and a flower blooming at its top.

Plucking it she offered it to Tidius. "Somehow I doubt that you are done toying with my abilities, but I'd like you to have this none the less." Her expression became a little more serious, but not defensively so. "I still don't know if I can help you with what you're seeking. But perhaps we can try to work together more to get results easier."

After a solid night's sleep, although not the most comfortable, Ariel awoke feeling much better. Opening her eyes the flowers did likewise and spread their petals. Slowly a sweet fragrance began to work its way through the lab as if nature had worked its way in. There having been changes to her body became apparent to her almost immediately as she scratched her face with the rough on the back of her hand. "Ow, what the..." looking at the back of her hand she saw bark. Attempting to scratch it with her nails confirmed it was more than just a coating of something on her skin.

A panic swept through her as she did her best to feel the rest of her body. The rough patches were all over her even if she wasn't one hundred percent covered in it. What had this madman done to her? Running her hands through her hair she felt... leaves? Taking hold of one she plucked it out. The action made her wince and in a matter of seconds a new leaf grew in its place. Rolling the greenery between her fingers she tried to recall what had happened the night before. Tidius had tried to give her a new magic, Wood magic. But this didn't seem like just Wood magic.

Looking up finally from her own state she glanced around to see Tidius on the far side of the room. Had he been there the whole time? "Tidius." She suddenly forgot her own plight and attempted to move. Right, still restrained. Then there was nothing to do but ask from here. "Did you stay there all night without sleeping?"

Changing how your character behaves is optional. Only those that want to try something different can. We can pick and choose elements we want to be the same and ones we want different.

It isn't our only option. We do lose some continuity by doing a alternate universe. We could move forward past this part of history. But it dos seem to have left a bad taste to the RP.

Does it have to only be limited to Marvel and DC? Why not open it to all heroes and villains? That way you could throw in others like Dark Horse Comics, which would open a ton more parents to chose from. I agree with Caits. The selection is already quite large to be honest. It would just be of characters not immidiatly thought of.

State of Heroes and Villains

I'm okay with a new thread. One we can actually control and won't have the GM vanishing. Perhaps we should have different people have the first IC, OOC, and Character tabs so we don't get stuck the same way.

If we want a fresh start but don't necessarily want to make all new characters we could have it be a different universe. I've done RPs like that, where I remake a character but maybe they're younger, or older, or whatever. A reimagining. But I only ever did a couple characters. Everything else was new.
