So to clarify are we mostly going to be following the exploits of a bunch of patrolmen? The 'Hey, weren't those the droids we're looking for?" sort of guys. Individuals that will never get thrust into adventure on the galactic scale or contribute in any meaningful way to the fate of the empire? Because that's what I'm hoping for...

Yes, that's how it's going to start for us anyway, we're pretty average Joe's. That's why the RP is called "the beat", like "walking the beat" for guards or officers.

It's going to quickly escalate into something bigger, but for the first portion of the rp, we'll be pretty regular Joe's.

All of this being said, I'd personally prefer the idea of having marksmen in the squad as opposed to snipers. Snipers implies that they are far away from the main squad and kind of doing their own thing. I'd like to keep everyone together, typically for plot purposes.

Also, I'll be back tonight. My own character will be up, as well as final character reviews and ooc etc.

Honestly, having a sniper team would prevent a single sniper from being isolated from the team. This way you both have someone to interact with while in the field.
