Stop being passive aggressive. Just be aggressive.

It is certainly not 'optimal', but it *is* doable, depending on what you want to do with it. You could go swords or valor bard and play them more like a warrior with some magical ability

Oh, I get what you mean now. I've yet to hear the term 'battery' in my time of handling firearms, but I understand what you mean now.
@13900IpForThis noted. Though I think the way I described where my character was was sufficient enough for people to understand where Sam was, and while I don't think multiple perspectives is such a bad thing I understand the point you're making.

Maybe lead with that next time, because I found that first statement to be rather rude.
@FrostedCaramel I'll be assigning ranks- more senior members like Travers will likely be a higher ranked lieutenant, while the rooks will be ensigns. Rank won't really play too much in this RP, as outside of commanding officers, respect is earned through reputation amongst the squadron and the battlefield.
@Themerlinhawk sorry I'm being a nit picky gun nut, but I didn't really understand:

"he fitted a compensator to the end of it(the pitol) which would prevent the gun from coming out of battery if he pressed the muzzle against another entity"

Maybe I'm reading the phrase wrong, but I do know that what a compensator does is help compensate for kick of a firearm- sorry, I was just reading over the posts again and that sentence stuck out to me.
I like the nickname Bugger a lot, it's short, humorous, and distinct. Alrighty, that should be the entirety of our cast then.
Riley

Riley was, as usual, the last of the three to make it to the HQ. Which was somewhat odd, as he arguably lived the closest of the three of them to the HQ, though no one had questioned him about it yet, and he didn't feel the need to answer the question that hadn't been asked. Though the short answer was, Riley, due to his relatively slow walking speed, often mistook how much time it would take for him to get to the nearest bus stop, or the bus driver judging from Riley's lack of hurry assumed that the man wasn't trying to board the bus and just left without him. He also walked past the HQ building and continued a block downward to a similarly styled building that did accounting work before realizing his mistake and walking back, where the man in the suit regarded him with a tired sigh and pointed him towards the inside of the building where another man in a suit waited for him.

Suit number 2 guided him into their work room and Riley regarded the other two with a lazier version of the two fingered salute Sasha often greeted him with. Sitting down with the others, and placing his phone in the black device like the others, He set himself comfortably in the chair and set it into a deep recline before he executed the application that took is into the DgtWld, his body falling limp not shortly after- hopefully his body wouldn't fall out of his chair this time. Such a fall happened last time they went to do work at a local Net-Cafe, and explaining that took a lot of smooth talking on the part of Sasha and Avery- the pair of them managing to convince the manager that Riley was merely low on blood sugar and did not in fact need to go to the hospital.

Forming from a stream of pixels behind the others, Maverick began taking shape. While shorter than Avery in the real world, in the DgtWld, Maverick was several inches taller, and was composed of a solid armored frame of black and red metals. While Urkwia checked her display, and Archimedes checked his firearms, Maverick went about doing a quick stretch. The stretching was more of a ritual than anything, as in the DgtWld, they couldn't actually pull a muscle, but Maverick typically ran a quick diagnostic of his armor system while he did. Unlike the others, Maverick was built to take hits, and did so quite well.

Sparky all the meanwhile, floated around Maverick's head, almost as if in orbit, chirping cheerfully as the group made the modest trek towards the collision in question. The little companion app was annoying at times, but it was at least a feeling of life in the otherwise dull void of the DgtWld. Though admittedly the DgtWld was not meant to be typicall traversed and was built to be more functional than aesthetically pleasing, Maverick almost enjoyed the various landscapes the hackers built for them. If it weren't for the fact that something was always trying to kill them, Maverick might've enjoyed the beach resort themed Collision they encountered a few weeks ago.

The collision this time around was an overgrown city. Almost post-post-apocalyptic. It was an urban environment, which meant close-quarters everything- which Maverick didn't mind, and that threats could come from almost any angle- which Maverick did mind. Urkwia mentioned climbing one of the taller buildings to scope out a vantage, to which Archimedes pointed out the issues with being trapped in one.

Maverick shrugged, "It would help to know what we were looking for this time around." he mused.

"At least when we're trapped at the top of a building, we know the enemy can only come at us from one direction."

Unless the enemies here flew, but that was a whole nother can of worms that Maverick didn't want to get into.
@13900IpForThis What? I don't see why I need to- Sam was never in the bar with the others, he's been in the conference room with the general the entire time, from when Daniel was in there to when he left and came back.
@Kessir Tarkin Overall everything looks good. The only thing that sounds kinda off is his callsign honestly. Ionno, at least to me, 'Red Flag' doesn't roll off the tongue quite as easily as 'Gramps' or 'Rama' or some of the other callsigns. The idea of one on one dogfighting duels is also interesting, and while it definitely is a passtime, one on one dogfighting doesn't necessarily translate to the full measure of a pilot. IE you wouldn't expect a pilot that specializes in bombers to prove themselves by 1v1-ing a guy in a interceptor- that are meant to shoot down bombers, you'd expect them to prove themselves by flying simulated strike missions, etc.

I mean, other than the callsign though, there's nothing worth complaining about. Consider Rezzik accepted.
Womp, my post is a little sparse, seeing as Sam isn't really doing much. Also studies.

edit: Hold that thought, thought of some other things to write.
"Alright, so I managed to secure the last of the fuel we need for the journey- Lucy said she'd check it out on her way back; I got some of the boys loading up the last of the cargo and- oh." The messy blond head of hair attached to the bulky young man with cigarette and clipboard in hand looked up from his conversation with General Ponta as Daniel returned into the room, his tipsy step fading as soon as the door shut behind him.

"You should consider a career in theatre if the whole spy thing doesn't work out." Sam remarked with an amused chuckle between drags of his cigarette, allowing himself a shallow jab at Daniel before the rest of the crew he had assembled followed him in.

Leaning back in his chair, Samuel helped himself to a glass of gin as he propped his grime-caked boots on top of the fairly expensive conference table. Compared to the general sitting next to him, Sam was a much more down to earth sight. He had left most of his equipment on the ship already, the only thing he brought with him to the table was the solid piece of machinery that was his old navy sidearm, and he clutched at the glass tumbler like he would a mug of cheap beer.

Downing the gin in a single gulp without even a slight twinge to his face, he rather carelessly plopped the glass back onto the table. He typically wasn't one to sit in on the details of the missions the IRIO typically sent him on. He was more of a go-with-the-flow kind of person- most of the time, his job was to fly the airship and keep it running until Daniel or Lucy got back from whatever black book work they did.

Sam still didn't quite get what they were doing this time around, though then again he never did. In the year he had spent working with the IRIO, Sam never really questioned the things they had him do. He didn't like getting into politics, and he sure as hell didn't like those stuffy old codgers that made up the Heavens' Eyes, so if he could stick it to them, and get a hefty paycheck while doing so, that was good enough for him. Of course, Sam, unlike Lucy, Daniel, or the General, wasn't on salary, and relied on various freelance missions such as this one to pay the bills.

"So, who we got this time around?" Sam wondered allowed, his question targeted towards both of his superiors in the room.
