There are a few choices. If the government is Bureaucratic, they might retain "Midwest" in the name. If they want to reflect a region, native American terms might work. "Potawatomi" could be used, a tribal group originating from Michigan. After reading up on all the choices though, I have to say that if I were in your position, I'd probably use some variation of "Gitche-Gumee". It's a Native American term for Lake Superior, the translation meaning "Great Water", which is a pretty good description of the Great Lakes as a whole. It also in that Gordon Lightfoot song, which probably helped sell it to me.

Though really, Aaron would be better at picking something out for that region, since he's part of that culture and would know the terms preferred up thataway.

Probably not running the game tonight, so go ahead and post extra events if you want. I do have to warn people about those though, not all events written into the game actually appear. It's pretty standard for a few to just not happen. So if you event doesn't show up in the game, it doesn't mean I didn't add it.

Also, Hot Wings were in two games (actually as Buffalo wings both times now I look back). Halloween, and the Fourth of July.

I'll accept death because it's easy to make the argument that death was a major player this year.

I'll also accept Dat Boi because that's a pretty solidly 2016 meme.

The last one is esoteric though. Imma swap it with "Pokemon GO" because it's more generally known and enough to generate mainstream news over the summer.

So I guess we can assume any celebrity who died during 2016 is fair game?

Also, would it be fair to have a waifu return? You had "mai the body pillow" written as waifu during the haloween games, so it's kind of a gray area.

Yeh, a public figure who died in 2016 gets in. They have to be pretty public though, no small-town mayors. Should have been enough to get a brief mention in some nation's national news.

It did get Waifu as a nickname at Halloween... I'll accept it, since it read that way. Waifu is in.

I also went ahead and added Putin. Putin was in multiple games, and he has been a major player in 2016, so he should be in there.

Metal Gear folk don't quite fit i'm 'fraid. Too esoteric, and besides, that game came out in 2015. Baldwin and Birdie Sanders work though.

Also, events should be 2016 related or rehashes of events previously used. If one was previously used, tell me which game.
