Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

**Saber - Agent-Only Hallways, Yggdrasil** Saber snapped out of her food-filled reverie as the other figure had approached. Kuzaku? He was, of course, a familiar sight, as the both were agents of the UMMA. She nodded to him as he approached. "It is good to see you, as well, Kuzaku. As Nono says, we are merely visiting the restaurant district." Part of Saber was curious. There had been no activity recently, and yet she was certainly being required at Yggdrasil... she wondered if the UMMA's Core Council suspected something but were unable to confirm any reports. Her thoughts tore her momentarily from the conversation, though soon she realized that she had lost focus. She started to realize this, however, and quickly began on her way, proceeding towards the Restaurant district. It was an elevator ride down to the sixth level of Yggdrasil, and they were currently on the one-hundred-and-seventh. The immense tower was one-hundred-and-eight floors, each floor holding a different purpose. The top floor housed the Core Council, and floors eighty-through-one-hundred-and-seven were reserved for UMMA business. Beneath there was a plethora of residential and commercial floors. The 'restaurant district' was not the only place with restaurants in the massive tower, but it boasted the widest selection and the most excellent food. Saber was distracted by thoughts of this wonderful food... and then realized that he may perhaps wish to see if Kuzaku desired to come as well. "... You may come if you wish," she said, looking back at the boy. Anyone who had been around her for any real length of time would know that social graces were not the small blonde's strongsuit. --- **Dlanor A. Knox, Inquisitor of Heaven - Mess Hall, UMMA Vessel Tanngrisnir** Dlanor had only remained in place long enough to give a swift nod to Blake before suddenly seeming to disappear. In reality, she had simply utilized one of her divine abilities as an Angel of Heaven, a burst of speed that carried her off the ground and sent her down the corridors at a far more rapid pace then she would otherwise have been able to attain. The crew were swiftly bypassed. If there was something more than a fire in the cargo hold, it was best for her to swiftly arrive on the scene before the non-combat personnel. And so, upon her arrival, she was greeted with the sight of a massive mechanical creation facing off against Raiden. Or at the least it seemed like this was the case. The sprinklers had activated, sending a shower down onto the room. Dlanor was mildly irritated that she was now getting soaked, but there were more important matters to attend to as of now. She strode forward, raising her gauntleted left hand towards Raiden and her armorless right towards the massive robot. "Raiden, I request that you stay your BLADE," she began. The small girl turned to look towards the huge robot, looking upwards at it. "I am an Inquisitor of Heaven and an agent of the UMMA. Dlanor A. Knox is my NAME. For what purpose are you in this cargo HOLD?" It was about then that the crew rushed in, and stared at the machine in confusion and shock. --- **??? - Crew Corridor, UMMA Vessel Tanngrisnir** The dark figure was certainly unaware he was being followed. He slipped along the corridor, deeper inside, reaching into his jacket. He had a simple goal in mind. The commotion would make it easy, as he drew his pistol from his coat. It was a high-power weapon, engineered to produce a bolt of heat that would burn through living things. He believed this would put down an agent of the UMMA, even though there were some cases in which he was horrendously mistaken. When he took down the agent, he'd signal for the others. Shadow Eternity would own this ship.
@Lost Cause: Well, um, Nanoha can be on the ship, in Yggdrasil... Even somewhere else if you want. @Mtntopview: You will, yes. Also, after reading through some things, yes, there will be plenty of mooks to go around.
Um, he seemed fine, yes. Also looking back the reason Black Rock Shooter didn't notice the leaf was because she is used to strange things and totally not because I missed it in my post. ^^; ... Anyway um, looks like there's a good opening for a Saber post now. Black Rock Shooter and Dlanor need to wait for some more replies.
- Name: Margarita Marianna McManus - Age: 10! ... Physically. She is actually 22. - Gender: Female - Race: Human - Picture or Description: ["What are you talking about? Don't try and say I did weird things like that when I was drunk."](http://safebooru.org//images/361/8ab9796a5744415cc567490cb3ed1c9d7a4c9c42.png?361029) - Crew Member, Marine Rival, or Other: Crew Member - Crew Position: Doctor - Techniques/Fighting Style: Rita was trained from a very young age by her grandfather, studying martial arts. And when she was old enough to handle alcohol... he revealed the McManus family's secret technique to her. The fabled drunken fist! Training in this art, Rita learned how to... beat the hell out of things using alcohol power. It is a very simple style that allows her to hit things extremely hard when drunk. Sober, however, she is about as useful in a fight as she looks. - Fruit (If applicable): N/A - Personality: Rita, as she is called for short, is at first glance quite a polite and refined girl. And... this is not false, at all. She is quite refined, her speech very polite. She gives the impression of the child daughter of some well-off family. Only... she's actually twenty-two so she's not that young at all. And... when she gets angry her politeness begins to fade. Rita will snap, complain, and generally be unpleasant to anyone who makes her annoyed. She also has a remarkably deep adoration of alcohol. She gets drunk very quickly and her personality undergoes a drastic shift. Rita's speech becomes very rough, and she acts like a stereotypical delinquent. She enjoys fighting when she's drunk. Fighting and pretty girls. She also tends to fight by punching things really really hard. And kicking. And anything she can possibly do to cause a lot of physical harm to someone very very rapidly, really. When she sobers up again... she doesn't deny anything but the being way too into pretty girls part. - Backstory: Rita was trained from a very young age by her grandfather, studying martial arts. And when she was old enough to handle alcohol... he revealed the McManus family's secret technique to her. The fabled drunken fist! Training in this art, Rita learned how to... beat the hell out of things using alcohol power. It wasn't long before her grandfather decided that it was time to complete her training, sending her out into the world in order to do so. After a particularly intense fight, Rita found herself lost, and eventually wound up in a pirate crew. - Other: Only competent as a doctor when extremely drunk.
@Minder: The dark-suited figure is a man posing as a civilian who slipped into the more official areas of the ship in the commotion. Um, would anyone mind re-stating their questions quickly? ^^; There's so much to look through.
Also, um, SillyGoy, Matt, Rin's been trying to talk to you for a while, since she's trying to figure out how viable her character is. ^^;
I'd at least like a PM to judge if it makes sense or not. Also, introducing the completely effective and not at all silly Weapons and Communications Officers!
**Black Rock Shooter - Client World 576143290-B** The opening of the portal was a surprise, and immediately Black Rock Shooter's arm snapped up as the blue light gathered to form her cannon once more as the figure emerged from it. It was a man, insofar as she could tell, clad in full armor that obscured even his face, carrying a strange-looking lance. He had appeared astride a motorcycle of some sort, as well. She looked up at him, cannon at the ready... and then he spoke, simply asserting that he must not be in some place called 'Zawame'. Black Rock Shooter paused for a moment... and the Rock Cannon slowly lowered. She did not dismiss it this time, however. While he did not appear to intend to attack, this time she felt the pressing need to keep it at the ready. Something felt wrong in this place, but she wasn't sure what. Especially that digsite... something from that direction did not feel right. Of course, it didn't have any relevance to her retrieval of Dead Master, so she hardly intended to investigate. And then, this time, she felt the newcomer's approach before she head it, snapping around swiftly in time to see the hulking armored figure approach, weapon in hand. But he, too, lowered it, and attempted to greet them. Black Rock paused for a moment, somewhat wary of the newcomer. He did, after all, have blood splattered across his armor, which was certainly not anything inviting. "... You do not shoot, I will not," she said, simply. Something none of them had seen yet was the digsite. The drill was enormous, and had clearly been put to use, digging into the stone beneath the sand. However, the crew who had run it was seemingly entirely gone. Where were they? --- **Saber - Agent-Only Hallways, Yggdrasil** "Ah..." Saber hesitated. This girl, Nono... The blonde knight was simply entirely unsure of how to react to her at times. She was filled with energy and exuberance, and had so attached herself to Saber that the King of Knights was truly unaware of if she should approve or disapprove. For a moment after the mechanical girl fell into step alongside her, Saber simply fell into silence. She was not used to anyone treating her in quite this way. Even far in the past, where she was looked to as King, it was not in this fashion. The respectful Japanese 'Onee-sama' was something she had never heard applied to her before, to say the least. As Saber knew Japanese due to her nature and summoning, the translation device was inactive, and yet having the title applied to her was somewhat strange. It was used to declare respect and admiration for an older female then oneself... Finally, Saber opened her mouth. She had to respond in some way, after all, even though the treatment still felt so very unsual to the Servant. "I... do not have any assignments as of now," she began. "I'm on-station in order to be ready in case of Shadow Eternity activity, but as of now there is no direct assignment. I was intending to visit the restaurant district until I was given an assignment." Ah, yes, Yggdrasil's restaurant district... Yggdrasil was, after all, not only composed of official UMMA business. There was a thriving civilian quarter as well. And the restaurants... Oh, so much amazing food, Saber's eyes practically shone as thoughts of the delicious meals coursed through her mind... --- **Dlanor A. Knox, Inquisitor of Heaven - Mess Hall, UMMA Vessel Tanngrisnir** Dlanor strode through the halls, and emerged into the mess hall. There was a gaggle of UMMA officers, including Raiden himself, as well as Belladonna, and Simmons. Dlanor took the folder from under one arm and approached. Somewhat amusingly, although she would hardly be the one to notice it or point it out, Dlanor was both the smallest and the youngest-looking of the present agents, appearing to be a child in spite of being far older. Unlike other such people, Dlanor often acknowledged this fact in an effort to defend the constant presence of various sweets in her office. "The briefing document is HERE," she began as she approached. "I retain copies of all such documents as NECESSARY. But it is important to recall this information YOURSELF." Still, she offered the documents to Raiden... And then there was a whining over the ship's communications, and a voice spoke up over them. --- **Chiester Sisters - Weapons and Communications, UMMA Vessel _Tanngrisnir_** Far below Dlanor, in a chamber located on the underbelly of the ship, sat the weapons and communications center. It had a somewhat... unique crew. [Chiester 00](http://images.wikia.com/umineko/images/7/78/Siesta00.png) sat behind her fellow Chiester Sisters. She kept calm. She didn't have the best composition, but she conducted herself calmly. At the moment, she sat in place and regarded her subordinates. [Chiester 410](http://images.wikia.com/umineko/images/3/3e/Siesta_410_2.png) and [Chiester 45](http://images.wikia.com/umineko/images/a/a7/Siesta451.png) sat before her, each carefully regarding several sets of screens portraying the void outside in a variety of different ways. At least, until Chiester 45 went rigid. "Ah, there's... there's... a... small fire in the cargo hold...?" For a few moments, she stared at what she was seeing on-screen in confusion. The other two rabbit-eared soldiers peered at her screen. It certainly seemed to be the case to them. The ship's response system was already active, sprinklers preparing to put out the fire, but it was recommended that crew report to the cargo hold to ensure the damage was minimal. They couldn't go getting the passengers panicked, though... "Er... sh-should I..." 410 abrupting leaned on 45's head, causing the pink-eared girl to let out a yelp. "Nyeh, whaddaya think? Silly 45, it's a damn fire, call the crew!" 00 simply nodded. It was the appropriate course of action. "W-wah... r-right..." And so, the voice over the intercom spoke. "This... th-this is Weapons and Communications officer Chiester-45. We have a Code... a-ah, wh-what was it... o-oh right, a code nine-five-six-four-F in the Cargo Hold. All available crew members, please respond." Needless to say, there was a bustle as crew members quickly hurried to put out what they thought was a fire. This bustle left an opening... as a figure in a dark suit followed, vanishing into the UMMA-staff-only areas of the ship. They had a distinct purpose here.
Well, Yggdrasil is pretty much open for anything, the _Tanngrisnir_ is as well, you can start on the Client World or any world within reason honestly if you can think of a reason to be there and other people will post there so you have something to do... Also, Matt, I was still waiting on an explanation for Bjorn showing up in the multiverse.
@Eemmtt: Well I guess I don't really see anything wrong there, um... accepted. @Scarifar: As pointed out, time-hacking is not acceptable unless under some fairly hard nerfs. As such I'm going to have to decline. @Mtntopview: Well, I didn't see anything wrong with him but I didn't realize you were using him right now. ^^; I thought you were just intending to place the bio up in case or something from what you said. @Laughing Matter: When you get the appearance up I'll look your bio over.
