Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Saber - Restaurant District, Yggdrasil

Saber finally raised her head to look away from herself. Yes, she was certainly skilled in combat, there was no denying that... And... Rin had said she was pretty, and Nono as well... was it the truth? It was not easy for Saber to accept it even if she had been told it before. However, there was food to eat, plenty of food that she could not ignore. Just as Saber prepared to dig in, her communicator loudly blipped several times. Looking from her food, to her communicator, then back again, the King of Knights hesitated for several moments before finally reaching down and producing the device.

On the screen it projected a simple message.

'Briefing commences in exactly 10 minutes and 34 seconds.'

"... I..."

Saber looked from her food and back. She had gotten entirely distracted from the briefing after the conflict and heading to the restaurant. Indeed, everyone sporting such a communicator in the restaurant would receive the same message.

Kirisame Marisa, Client World 12262009-A(Macross)

As Marisa followed, she wondered at their surroundings. Certainly, she had never previously seen anything like this in person, Gensokyo was rather lacking in such high technology on a large scale with a few exceptions. She had seen some things somewhat similar to this in the manga she nabbed from Kourin, but it was really pretty different from seeing it up close like this. Naturally, Marisa's eyes were on anything she could potentially steal. Small objects, stuff she could fit under her hat. Sure, she had the whole storage thing with her hat but this kind of thing still needed something small...

"Wow... this is awesome!" Marisa looked around with a wide grin as she investigated the suits. She did kind of want to go ahead and steal one, but there was too many ways that could go wrong right now. Instead, she kept her eyes out for anything smaller she could potentially manage to hide away under her hat or in her clothing. "I'm glad I met you, I might've missed this kinda thing if I didn't..."

Black Rock Shooter - Client World 576143290-B

Black Rock Shooter lept back when her attack was deflected... and paused for a moment when lightning seemed to spring from no-where and strike her foe. Her clue eyes swiftly tracked the location that the electricity seemed to originate from... and found a girl, in some kind of school uniform. That was an unexpected sight in a desert, but there had already been many other unexpected sights. As her opponent ran towards the newcomer, the otherself sprang into action!

Pouring speed on to outrun the blast from her enemy, she spun herself in front of it and lashed out with her katana. The black steel clashed with the burst of energy, and there was a crackling sound as she forced the edge through it, tremors running up the girl's arm as she did. With an ear-splitting crack, Black Rock Shooter split the energy blast and sent it dissipating into harmless particles. Lowering her right hand, her left snapped up as blue light gathered to form Rock Cannon.

"You are my opponent."

The moment Rock Cannon appeared in full, the immense black barrel gleaming in the desert sun, blue energy gathered in the end and erupted out in a burst of light!

The little girl peered up over her hiding spot. Someone else had shown up? And they were helping to fight the bad guys...?

The Leader, Shadow Eternity Headquarters

"Transport is located in the lower levels," replied the Leader, calmly, turning to face the cylinder that housed Dead Master and her consoles. She had issued her orders, and that was all that she had left to do. "I do not care how you obtain the Seat, as long as you do."

And with that, her focus left Cinder entirely. She was completely focused on monitoring her consoles. Certainly, whatever she was looking at there must have been important.

???, the School

"Well, I was going to turn up the heat until there wasn't anything left, but..." the woman sighed deeply, fishing a metallic device with several dials and antenna on it from one pocket as she did. It was now releasing several blipping sounds in rapid succession as she held it up. The woman narrowed her eyes in irritation. "That's technology for you. No substitute for magic. Why didn't it say you were here until now? Piece of shit."

She sighed. "I didn't want to light you on fire, if that's what you wanna know. Guess I'll have to deal with them more carefully... Anyway, you want outta here, right?"

The woman raised an eyebrow at Guts.
As soon as @Laughing Matter posts again, I can post and really get things moving.
Alrighty. That's fine, obviously.
I'll wait until we get some replies from @Scarifar and @Laughing Matter in response to Mikoto's appearance before I make my own post. After all, I'm pretty sure what she did is faster than Black Rock Shooter's reaction time. ^^;

I'll be moving things on for everyone on Yggdrasil too, and ideally get things started for where Cinder's going. Marisa will... continue to be Marisa.

Accepted.
Cynthia Lee

Cynthia didn't really understand what had happened. One moment, she had been in front of the horrible man threatening to eat her(which was at once scary and kind of a weird threat. She thought that sort of thing was a joke, not anything real adults said... maybe it was because he was a Puppet?) and the next moment she was behind him, as he clawed into a shield. The man let out a cry of rage and pain as the strange figures cut into him, and then the Doll's hand suddenly drove inside his body. There was a spray of mist, even as the rest of his wounds knitted themselves back together, and light shimmering around the Doll's wrist. The man struggled, but as her grip found the Puppeteer he went still.

The mist drew back inside the man's body as he lost consciousness, and from him was drawn a strange creature. It appeared to be made of crystal, with vapors pouring from its body and log, clawed hands, full of sharp angles.

"Grr... D-Doll..." the spire that was the Puppeteer's head swung open to reveal rows of crystal teeth.
I'll be replying later, @Shiinen.

Also, I still need to write up my Doll Hunter, I haven't been able to find a picture I liked for her.
VV

The redheaded Doll cocked her head to the side at the nun's response.

"Wha? Oh, please," VV waved her hand dismissively. So was she a Doll Hunter or something? It seemed like it, judging by that response. The girl in the frilled coat approached her new Doll Master with a grin, arms folded firmly across her chest. It looked like her new property might need some talking to... "You're mine now. We sealed the deal, you accepted my help, and that forged the contract between us. You're my anchor in this world, I can't just go running off and doing... whatever."

Her red eyes fixed on the nun's eyes as she approached, leaning forward, towards the other girl slightly. "I've gotta keep you safe, you know? Even if you're the kind of person who... let me guess, you're hoping you could kill me right now or something? Too bad."

The Doll's grin widened.

"You're my property now."
@rapidNovelist: I suppose he's not so mindless, but I'm worried that he might feel a vast majority of characters fall under his "attack" list.

@Phantom Wanderer: We are, yes.
Saber - Restaurant District, Yggdrasil

For a few moments, Saber sat in confused silence. She was prettier than Nono? Really? Somehow, she found herself doubting this. Certainly, she did not understand that Nono's opinion on the matter was in the least bit biased. She had expected a completely plainly-stated answer without any influence. It was, perhaps, a rather foolish expectation given the circumstances. The blonde girl looked from the robotic girl to herself, casting a serious investigative gaze over her body. Rin did think she was pretty, too... For a few moments, Saber sat like this, before finally looking up at her fellow agent.

"Really?" she asked, her tone somewhat perplexed.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the agents had lost track of time. It would not be too much longer until they required back up further for briefing on further anti-Shadow Eternity measures.

The menu spread out massively before the Spy. Only one item, the Gigaceros, seemed to be off limits. A message beside it, blinking on and off, was even declaring 'Don't even mention it'.

Kirisame Marisa, Client World 12262009-A(Macross)

Well, it looked like Misaka had located a good entrance, even if Marisa hadn't gotten to make their own entrance... She shrugged, and clambered down swiftly to make her way down the ladder. She did have experience with somewhat more stealthy entrances like this, but the best were still the flashy ones with all the explosions. After all, what was the point of magic if it wasn't flashy? As quickly as she could, the Perfectly Ordinary Witch hurried down the ladder and reached the bottom with Misaka.

"Okay, what now?" she asked, turning to the other girl.

Black Rock Shooter - Client World 576143290-B

Black Rock Shooter blinked when her opponent stopped suddenly, and then swiftly realized what he was trying to do. As the small explosive hurtled through the air towards her, she snapped her katana forward. There was a hissing sound as it tore through the air and hit the grenade, and the a brief grating sound as the dark steel passed right through it. Both halves of the grenade hurtled off to either side of her, skidding across the sands and lying inert and harmless. Her opponent having already chosen his route of attack, the otherself made her own charge across the sands, swiftly bringing her katana down for a vertical slash, aiming to bisect him entirely.

The Leader, Shadow Eternity Headquarters

"It is rather simple," the Leader replied, calmly. "It's a chair. Designed rather like the throne for some kind of royalty, located near the location's UMMA base. They don't know what it is and have placed it in a museum, as a relic of some lost technology. How, it is a rather vital piece of our war machine. After all, it's rather difficult to assault the UMMA with conventional tactics."

The Leader produced a holographic projector and offered it to Cinder. From it was displayed what looked like a technological throne of some kind, a chair with a tall back. However, there were various clamps across it, and plugs in the back where cables were clearly once attached.
