Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I can't find the bio you keep mentioning.

Maybe he should just re-post it? It's no-where in the signups.

Speaking of signups, I'll handle them a little bit later today.
I don't see any reason why it would be bad.
Only in that it's a bit awkward to play both sides of the interaction.
... Um... so what I was stating before? Magical weapons still hurt her, and the only real information we have on regneration directly is on a couple of those anyway.

... Are you planning on joining or is this just a random comment? ^^;
Given that it seems that you're using Outskirts Battledome for your character's powers rather then canon, and even if you are using canon that means this character is vastly more powerful then I initially believed, I'm going to have to ask you to retract the signup.

These explanations have revealed a lot more then your initial signup did.

Don't mistake me, I definitely feel that there are characters perfectly capable of defeating Saber in the RP and that is not why I am now retracting my acceptance. But the way you have described your characters powers vastly outdoes anything accepted in the RP(especially in terms of what I would accepted now rather then a few mistakes I made previously), and regardless of if it is based off of "analysis" or canon it is far too powerful.

I would argue your points but I'd rather not pursue anything involving a character that is no longer accepted in the RP.

Unless, of course, you're willing to list his abilities as they are explained in canon explicitly so I can judge this better. And if he could perform them in the RP.
Sorry, I've been out for a while, it'll take me a bit to catch up and make my decisions in regards to bios. ^^;
When her vampiric employee asked for a light, Toshiko held out two fingers. A simple spell that didn't require much strength, she simply muttered the spell for ignition. A flame lit at her fingertips, and she offered it to him, before turning her focus to her other employees. Her homunculus questioned the danger level, and she couldn't help but shrug.

"Hard to say," she replied, simply, "I'll be able to judge it better when we get there."

And now, well... it seemed as if most of her employees were there. Any late arrivals could be quickly filled in on the situation.

"To start with, if anyone shows up late, I would like it if you filled them in on what I'm about to tell you," she began, addressing the room at large, "Now..."

Pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose and taking the cigarette out of her mouth, Toshiko started her explanation of the case. "About a day ago, the Daidouji mage family was alerted to a presence in their home. When Daidouji Kenji, and his wife, Daidouji Tomoko went to investigate, they found nothing amiss. Nothing was different, there was no sign of an intruder, nothing was changed. Not the slightest thing had been altered. That was, until they checked the room their most precious item, a family heirloom, was held. It was gone entirely. But there was no sign anyone had been to the room. Even the spells cast on the room to keep it secure hadn't been disturbed."

Another drag on her cigarette. Toshiko held the beginnings of the case report out, for her employees to take a look.

"They want us to track down the perpetrators and get their precious family heirloom back. Now, I'm sure some of you are aware of the... history of the Daidouji family, but I'll give a quick rundown for those who aren't. The Daidouji Mage family has splintered into many, many branches. Every single last one of these branches hates the other. And when I say hates, I mean backstabbing and murder aren't out of the realm of possibility when it comes to one branch to another. Our suspect may be the member of another branch."
You're not attacking her with magic, you're attacking her with a supernaturally-empowered weapon that can hurt her.

Pure magic attacks, though, she can just walk through. It takes a huge amount of magic to bypass her Magic Resistance, something like some of the attacks of certain Noble Phantasms.

She can walk through Caster's spells, but physical Noble Phantasms like Gae Bolg or any number of Gil's can hurt her just fine.
Or anything extremely strong/magical but not attacking via magic.

So, say, a magic sword hurts her because it's still a sword, just magically empowered.

Also extreme mundane damage still hurts her, just not as much as it would a regular human.
@IncredibleBee: ... Oh, that's a good point, I forgot how far the "doesn't hurt good" thing goes. ^^;

It's been a looooong time since I watched Samurai Jack.

@Earnest Evans: We see all of Saber's time in both Grail Wars she was in, she never does anything evil except for one continuity where she's still not exactly full-blown evil.

But this Saber isn't from that one.

Then again, I don't know, Jack certainly fights non-evil people at a few points but it also doesn't hurt evil.
