Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Kirisame Marisa - Academy City

"Oi oi, I do plenty of actual magic!" replied Marisa, twitching a little in discomfort as she felt the tiny girl pull on her hair a bit. Well, that was to be expected... Anyway, she really did do a lot of real magic! Sure, some stuff was 'borrowed', but she worked on it herself. She made her own spells. That was kind of insulting, really! She sprang back, kicking her broom up into her hands as she did and holding tightly. "Besides, if I borrow a spell I make it better! My Spark is way flashier then Kazami's!"

She grinned widely at the boy and the blue-haired girl.

"... As for the tiny cute one," she continued, "I'm gonna give her back after I dress her up a bit, okay?"

And that was the Perfectly Ordinary Witch's cue to turn tail and hop on her broom, preparing to take off and get as far out of there as possible. She did intend on giving the tiny girl back... after figuring out how she worked and then dressing her up like herself. After all, she was pretty sure Alice had an appropriately-sized copy of her outfit if nothing else!
@Belwicket: You said you wouldn't just summon dragons like that. :/
@Great Sogeking, @Lord Coake , as soon as you both post in the Castle Tepes scene I'll move it on, I don't want to keep leaving people behind there.
Kirisame Marisa - Academy City

"... Eh?"

Marisa tilted her head in confusion. What was so strange about what she'd said? Was magic in this world this complicated? Did that mean she was going to have to steal even more things in order to figure it out? Well, it's not like she minded doing that, she'd only seen a little slice of the city so far. She stole things from all over the place all the time, often when it didn't even have anything to do with magic. She supposed that made her a klepto-thingy, but that didn't bother her at all! And hey, the nun was getting pretty distracted, biting... biting Touma on the head for some reason.

Did she have some kind of weird kinks or something?

Well, whatever. Now there was tiny girl to deal with...

"A magic god? Hey, that makes you the... ah, whatever, I never kept count," the blonde which waved her hand. Meeting gods and things that were technically gods or godlike started to run together if you tried to keep the numbers straight. "Anyway, that sounds pretty interesting, and you're adorable so... I'm takin' you home!"

In a flash, Marisa's hand lashed out and snapped up the tiny girl. Her hat was swiftly raised up and the girl was shoved beneath it. Hoping she could act before the other two could respond, her free hand snapped out in an attempt to grab the blue-haired nun's habit.

It wasn't like it'd be that hard to steal if it was just held up by safety pins, right?
Kirisame Marisa - Academy City

"... Eh? Church?" Marisa started blankly for a moment, scratching her head. What did that have to do with magic? Was this because of the religions in Gensokyo all competing for followers or something? She didn't really care about that. She guessed she kind of counted as shinto, but only when it benefited her. She didn't know what magic name meant at all. Element? Well, that was water, but screw that. Water wasn't flashy. Sign...? "... I dunno what you mean by all that. I'm Kirisame Marisa, the Perfectly Ordinary Witch, and that's it!"

The blonde girl gave a cheerful grin towards the boy and his female companions.

"... Aaaanyway, girls might be attracted to him, but he's not my type so you don't gotta worry about that," she continued with a shrug. It seemed like the girls thought the guy was totally dense judging by their treatment of him. And on top of that, the tiny one managed to get up and slap him in the face! She had to stifle some laughter at that. On top of that, there was the planning stag. Rip off the habit first, or get the tiny girl... it didn't look like she could fly, so she wouldn't be able to get away too fast regardless of what was going on...

"... What are you, anyway? Inchling? Lilliputian? Some kinda other super-tiny person?"
Since Marisa's scene is pretty self-contained I decided to post again with her.
Kirisame Marisa

The air swirled around Marisa. There was... some black-haired guy, and a blue-haired nun, right below her! For some reason, the Nun's habit seemed kind of... unique somehow? Like it might have at some point been something more. The witch wasn't sure why, but she was usually pretty good at spotting magical artifacts, maybe it used to be one? Well, regardless, the blonde began to swiftly lower through the air excitedly, landing in front of them after a few moments and holding her broom to the side.

"Hey!" she declared cheerfully, "I'm Kirisame Marisa, incident resolver number two and all around awesome witch! And that habit looks kinda interesting..."

Marisa leaned forward, eyes on the white habit... to find it was fixed with safety pins? Well, whatever, she was going to grab it the second she got the chance! Even if it wasn't magical anymore, it still looked like it might... might...

... Was that...

"... Whoa, you're not a doll!" Marisa cried, pointing at the tiny blonde girl. Anyone she knew who was that small was either the tiny needle girl or a doll, and this girl was neither of those. And... rather conveniently, looked like she could easily fit inside of her hat...
I'd be fine with that, eh-heh.
He seems fine, though I'll point out that being an actor would probably not be a requirement to continually providing Zombrex.

The qualifiers would probably be mostly out of humanitarian aid, but also to help make sure he doesn't suddenly abandon the UMMA since they're the ones providing his daughter with the medicine she needs.

Though being an actor/performer is perfectly fine too, obviously.
Shirley - Castle Tepes

Shirley stared blankly for a few moments, slowly drifting back and away from the apparent... salespeople? She was confused, and her nerves were easily-frayed at the best of times. Looking nervously back over her shoulder, she swiftly found that there was no-one else present who could take over for her. No, she was left to try and handle this herself.

Growing ever so slightly more transparent, she took another reflexive breath.

"U-um... well... I... h-her Highness is busy, um..." she trailed off for a few moments before finding her words again, "U-um... are... you with the... um... you-em-em-ay? I-I think that was it..."

Kitchens - Castle Tepes

When some unknown man crashed through the ceiling, the maids were quick to act. Some, the more normal ones, ducked for cover. Others readied themselves for a potential fight. It wasn't their usual duty, but it was all they could do in service of her highness.

A seemingly-human maid calmly pulled two large handguns out from her skirt, as well.

At least they were prepared, but it would soon be proven that they were overreacting in spite of the property damage.

Kirisame Marisa - Academy City

Marisa was, certainly, unwilling to let go of anything she had stolen. So for now, at least, the beetles were a good idea.

Feeling the wing whip past her, Marisa cruised towards the buildings that made up Academy City. Excitedly, she cruised between them, lowering as she did to get a good look at anyone below her. She'd find some person who looked interesting and see what she could steal from them. After all, that made the most sense, didn't it? To try and find stuff to steal as quickly as possible? It wasn't like she wasn't planning on heading back, so she had to spend her time wisely. Her eyes scanned the surprised crowds as she zoomed low, doing her best to spot anything remotely exciting.

Black Rock Shooter - Client World 576143290-B

Immediately, all dialogue was replaced with familiar kanji. The screen dissolved to reveal a simple window with various options.

One was labeled "recent coordinates".

"[CLASSIFIED. Proper Clearance Required to Access these Coordinates]"
"120-332-456-780"
"249-000-715-999"
"343-214-898-100"

Below this list, there was a spot that allowed text to be entered, labeled simply "Please Enter Desired Coordinates".

Black Rock Shooter approached. Silently, she peered over Misaka's shoulder at the screen. Logically, this must have been the way the teleportation device was operated. Still the otherself made no comment. Why should she? It was likely that the other girl had guessed something similar. And so she simply silently regarded the number sequences. There was no real indication of where the coordinates lead to...

The blonde girl, meanwhile, was staring concertedly at Suwako's hat.

The School

"Wait a moment," the girl insisted. She flicked the blood from her katana and sheathed it, allowing her cape to drop and conceal her upper body once more. Now that they had cleared the area, it seemed like the perfect time to attempt to explain what was going on. Neither of them looked particularly versed in technology, though at least the girl seemed to have some supernatural abilities given how she ignited the building with no visible exterior methods.

"I have some things to explain," she began, "I'm not sure how much either of you have seen recently, but I'll begin by saying that this is not the world either of you originate from."
