Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@ToadRopes: I don't see any problems here, but be careful with how many characters you use.

@Dragonydas: I'm kind of concerned about how she can possibly be fought. If it takes hard-hitting magic attacks(since water's not always available and chemistry knowledge is not widespread), those are kind of likely to kill her which makes them kind of a no-go in an RP. In addition, now that she's gotten her acidity up I'm pretty sure everything but magical weapons or super-scientific shielded stuff are going to be incapable of doing anything to her since it'd just be damaged or destroyed. I can't accept this.

@Bohnham: Not seeing any issues really, accepted.
Um, I'll try and post somewhat soon.
Need to work on my villain, mostly her backstory is where I'm getting caught up now.
I'll try and post later, though I'm also going out later a well. ^^;
Kirisame Marisa

Whoa, what was this guy doing? Just grabbing onto her broom like that? Jeez, he could get hurt! Sure, Marisa had no problem beating people up, but some guy falling off her broom and getting some serious injuries was not exactly something she felt too good about. Holding her hat on her head, she looked back over her shoulder at him, the other hand holding firmly to her broom.

"Oi oi, you should really let go before I get too-"

Wait wait why wasn't the broom rising anymore.

Marisa found herself rapidly descending through the air. With a yelp, she swiftly grabbed onto her hat as she fell, wrapping her legs around the broom When she hit the ground, she skidded her knees and pitched forward, knocking her head on the concrete and thrusting her backside into the air in a rather awkward-looking position. Stars went off in her vision on the impact as a horrendous pain reverberated through her skull.

"Ow ow ow..." one hand still on her hat, Marisa raised her other hand to weakly hold her forehead, tears welling up in her eyes at the pain. "Wh-what the hell was that?!"

Othinus, meanwhile, would get a rather different experience. Objects of all sorts catapulted around the hat. Yen, strange, unfamiliar coins, a trumpet, a glowing necklace, a sheathed katana, several manga...

In fact, one particular manga, the cover adorned with two girls holding hands, collided directly with her, landing open, face-down, and directly on top of the tiny girl.

Outside Castle Tepes

The stitched maid, whose name was Anette, cocked her head to the side at the assertion that it was stuff. But surely it was a cool night, the didn't have to turn on the 'make-the-air-chillier' thingy right? That was something that the girl had never fully understood, but it sure was useful sometimes during the summer! So it had to be something else...

"Well, she's adorable, right?!" she declared, her tone still bearing the utmost seriousness, "So naturally you must not have been able to take it... One time I was tending to her room when she was asleep, and it was so cute I tripped and knocked my head off!"

The stitches around her neck, somehow, would become even more visible. "And that doesn't normally happen, it's on here really tight... it's funny, I made a big mess even though I was supposed to be cleaning! But her Majesty didn't mind all the blood! She likes blood!"

Nothing in her voice seemed to indicate that Anette found any of this the least bit distressing. No, instead she found it more of a silly accident. She considered things for a moment, and then continued. "If it's really not her cuteness, though... can I get you anything?!"

Shirley, on the other hand, stared at the presentation blankly. She wasn't good with people what could she do...

"... U-um... her Majesty will... b-be out shortly? A-ah..." she grew more and more transparent as she spoke, clearly not prepared to deal with this. It was a wonder why she was the one who handled the gates.

Kitchens - Castle Tepes

The maids were not sure what to do. They all looked between one another, baffled. Things were happening so fast and so strangely that they had no idea what kind of reaction they should have. One of them, a maid sporting a pair of animal ears, paused for a moment before approaching.

"... So... are you making a pizza?" she asked. It was a reasonable question, really.
Misaka Mikoto

"High level this and ability that," Mikoto handed the crepe to Kuroko and folded her arms across her chest, giving a stern glare towards the older girl. Now this... this wasn't what she'd had in mind. Why would anyone suddenly interfere like that? It could have been so much worse... the thought of not stopping in time, of shocking Kuroko with so much more power then she had intended... It could have seriously hurt her. The idea of seriously injuring Kuroko was enough to make the Level Five feel guilty, even if she hadn't actually done it. The regular shocks were just reprimands, punishments that didn't do anything more then knock the smaller girl senseless for perverted behavior. But that could have put her in the hospital.

On top of that, the audacity to boost her power output and then accuse her of being the one who didn't care about her surroundings... So she did sometimes knock out the power grid in some areas. But when there were people around, she always held back. She never wanted to do anything that would seriously hurt a person. "It doesn't matter what level you are. You always need to notice if people are around you! If I hadn't noticed what you were doing, Kuroko could have ended up in the hospital, and you would have gotten a lot more then a little shock! Any esper shouldn't just ignore people around them and use your power however they like. If you're stopping a mugger, you need to make sure only he's stopped, and you haven't hurt anyone else!"

When it came to people, Mikoto was always careful. No matter how hard of a shock she gave back-alley thugs, they were always fine after they recovered. She always made sure she never caught any innocent people up in an attack when she was fighting. Sure, sometimes her surroundings didn't fare so well, but...

Saten Ruiko

"Eh? You're leaving?" Ruiko tilted her head. Sure enough, the little girl was going off and just leaving without an explanation. What was that all about? "But weren't you looking for the ghost?"

Hearing a familiar voice calling to her, Ruiko looked back over her shoulder and spotted Uiharu approaching from a distance. There she was! Ruiko reflected a little on the fact that she had kind of ended up a bit distracted after spotting the gothloli girl staring off into the alley. But she couldn't help it, these kinds of rumors were so interesting! Who could say there wasn't a ghost somewhere in Academy City, the place where Esper powers thrived? Even if they didn't exist anywhere else, who said they couldn't exist here? "Hey, Uiharu! I just met her, I think she was looking for the ghost!"
I'll post and handle bios and stuff in a bit.
I'm interested, need to work on my stuff a bit first. ^^;
Um, I'm a little confused now, how are we handling this? I'd like to reply but um.
Saber - Castle Tepes

Saber stared at the immense gem for several moments. It was enormous, how exactly was Shadow Eternity planning to steal such a thing? It didn't even appear as if it could fit out of the door. Truthfully, the King of Knights had no idea what they were meant to be preventing when it came to an object of this size.

"I'm glad you're all impressed," said Queen Tepes with a cheerful smile. Well, at least until she noticed Gintoki quickly leaving. Saber, too, looked over her shoulder and reached out in a bid to stop him, but he was soon vanishing up the stairs. The blonde girl frowned as she watched her ally's departure. What was he doing, and why? Surely he knew that their job was important... while the torture chambers were... disconcerting, the Queen had assured them that it was no longer practiced under her rule. So, then, what was it?

Queen Tepes sighed. "Anette will go and get him. For now... I like the samurai's proposal! If you stay down here, Jack, Clark will provide what support he can."

There was still no explanation of Clark. "I haven't exactly gotten any strategies worked out for you, I don't know how you work, so it's probably best if you try and come up with something for yourselves. You can probably tell they're not trying to pick it up, the trick they tried to pull is putting teleportation transmitters on and around it to just warp it out. They obviously wouldn't be able to carry it.

Ah... there was the explanation. That was how they planned to steal it.

Kitchens - Castle Tepes

The maids stared blankly, some peering out of hiding at Dante. They were all stunned into silence for a few moments. It was certainly an impressive display, but to what end none of them really knew. Eventually the white-haired maid stowed her handguns and bowed low before him.

"I apologize for the hostility. Are you from the you-em-em-ay?"

Outside Castle Tepes

Abruptly, something seized Gintoki's shoulders. He was encountered by the stitch-bearing visage of the maid who had greeted them at the doorway, the ghostly maid still at the gates trying to figure out what to do about all the people who had suddenly show up.

Her expression deeply serious, the stitched maid stared deeply into his eyes, as if she was somehow firing lasers from them. Thankfully, no light and heat based destruction was wrought, and instead she made an incredibly serious demand for answers.

"Was her Highness so cute you couldn't take it?!"

... Wait, what?

Dlanor A. Knox, the Museum World

Her opponent had fled.

She'd kill him sometime, anyway. Now Dlanor turned her eyes to the conflict nearby. Leaving a trail of blood as she walked towards them, her eyes were still wild as they fixed upon their opponent. Cinder Fall. The Red Key hummed as she raised it, the small girl poised to attack as she drew closer and closer.

"You are OUTNUMBERED," she began. It was truth in red, there was no way to deny that the witch-woman was alone, with only her potential summons to aid her. The rest was left unexplained. Part of Dlanor hoped that the woman did not surrender, hoped that she could bring the taste of death to her.
