I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Hmm... I'd... try making it more limited in application but it could work as a distillation of the processes involved in spellcasting. Probably most likely tied to a Magic Trait as well. ^^;
Edit: I'd also suggest making it more "effects" rather then, say, attacks or something, so it doesn't just completely outdo spells.

To be honest, the Tower of Babel was something I hadn't ever figured out for this setting. ^^; Thinking one what I do have worked out in terms of history in this setting it's probably much stranger then the Biblical version. Maybe some kind of tower construct that recorded languages and produced a language that all people could speak or... something before it was destroyed.
In any case, I'm honestly not sure what being able to use those words would do. Speech is very important to magic, as even if you can mentalcast you still need to say the spell's name in order to use it at full power.
I'm sorry, it's an area I just haven't put enough thought into yet to say if it would work out well or not. ^^;

@The Omnipotent Sphere: Okay, there's a couple things I forgot to mention before.
The only actually magical(as in, their existence is actually magical rather then supernatural or divine or something) is familiars, who are made from magic by magi. I suppose you could technically count shikigami as well, since they have bodies constructed in a similar manner but are actually summoned spirits.
Then, you don't mention what she can use her phone for.

For one thing, there's no real way to summon them without knowing it's magic, you have to use a spell in order to do so and depending on the spirit it can be more or less involved. There IS stuff for reinforcing your body or objects magic wise though(Asami has some spells for that, in fact).

They are fast, stronger, and more durable then humans, and possess a strange form of regeneration that works by reversing their "personal time" to reset their bodies back to the uninjured state. They first appeared roughly a thousand years ago, coinciding with the fall of the Archangel Lucifer.
What most people don't know is that the first demons were originally humans, who were changed by Lucifer's fall, which was such a catastrophic event that it tore a hole in reality and exerted a warped form of divinity that altered humans to create demons.
