Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I literally just got a CS for plot magnet PMed to me for approval. ^^;
Alrighty, then, looking forward to seeing what you and everyone else comes up with!
Alright, I'll put you down as the Charmer.
Um, Kiko's not doing much at the moment.
Alchemy's the result of not having an aptitude for spellcasting but being good at making things, basically.
Alright, then, I'll put that down as claimed.

Torako's katana slid back into its sheath. Fine. Xin could fight them by himself, if that was how they wanted it. Her now-steely gaze laid squarely upon them, as she stood at the base of the tree she had cut apart. Her hand rested on Taketori's hilt, as blood dribbled down the fabric of her kimono, or trickled down one pale cheek. She simply stood and watched. And waited. After all, a former assassin was not one trained with so much stock in honorable combat. Oh, of course, Torako did not utterly ignore it, but if an ally was in danger of death...

She would intervene.
Torako simply nodded to Kyang when she spoke. It was a logical course of action in this fight. Xi was in danger of being swiftly overwhelmed, even if he was holding his own. The pale-haired girl dropped low to the ground, her body jostling from the sudden motions, one hand remaining firmly on the hilt of her katana. Taketori was always reliable, no matter what happened. She put on an immediate burst of speed, her sandals near silent as she padded rapidly through the grass, from the side, towards one of the men assaulting Xi.

No hesitation filled her mind. Not even the slightest. Her face was stony and cold, one of grim focus. She was doing, after all, something that now came naturally to her. All those years of spilling blood had made her all too prepared to do it again and again and again. Even if she now only slew those who were a threat to herself or others who were not counted among her enemies... quite simply, it didn't matter. They were a threat. So, if she could, she would kill them.

And so, the moment Torako came in range, her blade flashed out again, so smooth and fast that it was barely visible to the naked eye, in an arc designed to sever limbs, or a head, or even cut apart the entire body in an instant.
KKR-V2 "Kiko"

The somewhat short, blonde-haired girl cheerfully headed down the street. Today, it was stated, was a day set aside for her to experience a different country. After all, she would only be here for about half a month longer before returning to her home in Tokyo, at the Kimura Institute. For now, though, she was on something of a vacation, wasn't that the case? Yeah! She could make all kinds of new friends, too! It was all leading up to the expo where her function and nature would be explained to a whole bunch of people... wouldn't that be something? She could make all kinds of friends! The mere thought of this brought a smile to the blonde girl's face.

She stretched, her sleeves falling down for a moment. There were joints, exposed, at her wrists and elbows. They were at her legs as well. Kiko lowered her arms. At the moment, there didn't seem to be anything bad going on, either! That meant no-one was being foolish and trying to harm innocent people... Kiko waved at the people who gave her surprised looks. It wasn't every day you saw a robot girl! She gave them a happy grin as she made her cheerful way along.

Of course, nothing bad would happen, right? Right! Kiko was ever the optimist. But even if something bad did happen... she'd rush in and stop whatever it was! She's save all the innocent people and make sure that whoever was causing it surrendered! And then she'd make everyone ramen!
That's fine. I will point out we already do have a homunculus who uses weapons and explosives and stuff, though.
