Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Xiphonic: The only specification mentioned was images. Now that you've revealed that's not the case GS and I are going to have to reevaluate your bio.
Accepted.
You say images only in the bio.

Holding out for someone to intervene in the CrocoKill fight. ^^;

Kiko frowned. This guy did seem pretty smart, since he made all these robots and stuff by himself, no less, but... there were a lot of researchers who were super smart, too! After all, there were all kinds of heroes who relied on science, including herself! That meant there had to be a lot of really smart researchers, didn't there? Kiko nodded firmly to herself. Besides, there was also the ultimate proof that there were a lot of smart people in science...

"Just because you're smart doesn't mean other people aren't!" she called to the supercriminal, "Researchers at the Kimura Institute made me! And onee-san! So there's no way they wouldn't be able to help you out!"

Even as she attempted to call to him, he was... running away? The robot girl adjusted her course to pursue him behind one of the many crates littering the port. At least, until she heard the rumbling and clanging from the now-abandoned submarine. Glancing back over, Kiko watched in surprise as an enormous robot erupted from the ship, and slammed right into the port. Too slowly she attempted to evade its aim, and the roar of bullets slammed into her. Thankfully, her synthetic skin and armor was designed to be incredibly resistant, and beneath at skin was a lightweight, yet strong alloy. However, the impact of the bullets all across her body was sharp and strong, and Kiko let out a yelp as she was knocked off-course and sent slamming into the ground, tumbling end over end.

Oh, why did she make the armor so hard to use with clothing? Well... of course she knew why, because in order for it to synch with her body using the components she had available, and for it to fit well, she had to, well... she packed up a bodysuit she'd made just for this purpose, but she had to find somewhere to put it on... and it was so hard to find somewhere to change! At least she had actually packed a change of clothing up that would work with the armor this time... really, she should have thought ahead and just worn the bodysuit under her clothes to start with... Reika finally found a spot to duck into, darting behind some cover and taking a deep breath.

No body find her no body find her no body find her...

Meanwhile, the suit-wearing man looked between each other, surprised. Each was rather gruff-looking, save for one, who had rather slim, slighter features, like one would expect from some kind of heartthrob actor, and somewhat longer brown hair.

He sighed.

"Our cover's blown, boys," he said, simply. With that, he tore off his coat. The other men followed suit, but they didn't have any ordinary weapons under those jackets. Each one was clad in a heavy set of power armor, angular shapes concealing their bodies.

The man who'd spoken first grinned.

"Let's dance."

Speaking of power armor, Reika took several deep breaths. She'd managed to change without being spotted! There was just one more part remaining... stuffing her clothing in her bag, she rummaged through to get out the trigger...
Okay hold on.

@Xiphonic, it was not agreed on that your character's illusions could effect any sense and were completely unavoidable and undetectable.

... Anyway posting later, probably.
I'm hitting a serious wall and I have no idea why. I can post in other stuff.
The Beach

Brutish beast that it was, CrocoKill did something rather surprising. Lunging to the side in an instant, instead of directly attacking it went around the armored hero, who was so immobilized by charging his weapon. In a surprising display of speed, it was upon the watching crowd. For their credit, the crowd was quick to disperse, pulling loved ones with them. But one, a little girl no older then eight or nine, stumbled, and the beast snatched her up to the screams of her mother. Tears welled up in her eyes as he raised her.

"Let me crack open that shell, human," CrocoKill snarled, "Or I'll rip her limb from limb. I wonder what she tastes like?"

"B-Buster F-Fist..." were the only words out of the terrified girl's mouth.

Maybe she was only D-Class... but she was still a hero! The jets on Kiko's armor activated, and she jetted backwards out of range of the swinging weapons, lifting off into the air as she did. Taking advantage of the moments it took for the robotic soldiers to recover, she raised one armored arm. The ports for her beam cannon whirred open, and a flurry of blue blasts erupted from it. They struck the robot over its chest and head, tearing through metal and causing an explosion to erupt from its head and chest, sending the smoking remains falling to the ground with a metallic thunk. Her boosters flared and sent her higher, narrowly avoiding an axe lashing through the air where she once was as she raised up higher.

Cutting her boosters, Kiko fell back down, the blue blade of her energy sword flaring to life. She might be D-Class, but...!

There was a flash, and a hiss of metal being cut by extreme heat, as she dropped back down onto the robot and cut it in half cleanly down the middle. But she wasn't done, there were more robots and... Wait. None of them seemed to have ranged weapons, and the civilians had fled already! So that meant...!

Kiko lifted off ground once more and jetted out towards the submarine, cruising high above the remaining three robotic knights' heads as she headed directly for the supercriminal.

"You know, if you worked with legal researchers, it would be a lot easier to get these materials!" she called to him as she approached, "We don't have to fight! If this is all you want, there's a lot of people who could help you!"
He looks fine to me. Unless GS has any issues, accepted.

... Speaking of I need to poke GS to get her character done.
This is always open.
Accepted, then.
