Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I have, I told him that espers only have one power in-setting.
I'll probably be making a post for Reika and the power armor mooks relatively soon.

I will say they're tough mooks, but still mooks. If you want to control their actions or hurt them a little, it's fine, and once GS gets posting I'll probably have her take their actions over a bit.
@JJFABBY: Unfortunately, Espers in-setting only have one real ability. For example, Tomoko has telekinesis, and that's it. It's just extremely powerful.
@Xiphonic: Also, after reevaluating your bio, the sudden addition of full tactile illusions when it was previously not mentioned is not okay.
Enough to knock someone off their feet from direct impact.

With all the commotion going on around her, Kiko was quick to react. Just laying there wasn't what a hero did at all! Using her boosters to speed up the process, she launched back to her feet, switching them into a lower power mode with a whir and a hum, as opposed to the subtle roar of their usual activity. She quickly glanced towards the other hero, as the bigger robot was aiming at the both of them. She might be a hero... but... dodging was really hard from a position where you were sitting on the ground!

So Kiko did the only thing that could come to mind. Turning up her thrusters, she rocketed away from the smaller robots, cruised towards the other girl, and made a bid to tackle her out of the line of fire.

If she was a less impulsive robot girl, she might have realized this was probably unnecessary. But Kiko tended to act before thinking.
It's always open, yes.
Still holding out for some intervention in the CrocoKill fight. ^^;

The power armored men, upon seeing the fireballs, immediately dodged apart from one another, narrowly avoiding the fireballs. In total, there were ten power armored men. Six, including the hearthrob movie star-like one, were now focusing on the heroes. The other four were rushing the bank. After all, they didn't have much time now that a couple of heroes had showed up. If the fight went on too long, it was pretty likely more would show up, wasn't it? The one who'd spoken stepped back, allowing the rest to leap forward.

"Take this, you bastards!" one cried, slamming his foot down. Concrete splintered in a line towards the two heroes, a shockwave radiating out from the impact of his power-armored foot. The other power armor-clad bankrobbers rushed forward on the sides, trying to flank the hero pair.

Until one of them took a direct punch to the cheek from the side. The impact sent the man tumbling end over end with a series of metallic clanks, sparks flying as he skidded across the concrete. Why weren't they wearing helmets, exactly? That would have prevented this exact situation. Regardless, he rolled one more time before coming to a halt.

Reika felt her hoverskates shoot out from under her as she landed, frantically attempting to regain her footing and force them beneath her for a few moments. She had entered from the right while the armed guys were distracted, and did her best to take one out by jumping in and drop-punching him in the face! She really hoped it had worked... ... And then one of the powered armored criminals lunged at her, swinging a fist. She slid backwards rapidly with a yelp as it swung past her helmeted face, then zipped to the side and around the group. That one guy wasn't getting up. She'd heard him groan and twitch, but now he was just laying there. She'd knocked him out cold with her surprise attack!

That sure was a bit of a confidence boost! She couldn't see an opening for an attack, now that their eyes were on her, but she could reposition herself! She took a quick turn and hovered around behind them, taking a deep breath before interposing herself on the other side of them, in a hope to get the attention of the four who were rushing the bank, too.

"I'm..." Reika took a deep breath. This part made her nervous even after the first time... "... I-I'm AkaRocket! I might be an amateur, but I'm still a hero!"
When Torako turned to Kyang, there wasn't the barest scrap of her behavior from the night before. No, there was nothing at all that resembled that person. Once again, there was a bright, cheerful expression, an enthusiastic smile between bowls of soup slurped down like her life depended on it. After a moment's pause, and a thoughtful expression, the light-haired girl came to a firm conclusion on the subject.

"An army couldn't fit in my stomach!"

With that, she happily returned to guzzling down soup. Oh, certainly, it wasn't like she wasn't aware that Kyang had already seen her... other side. The way Torako acted when she knew it was no longer time to simply enjoy herself and the company of others. When she felt it necessary to call upon her past. But that didn't mean she had to continue acting like that at all times, now, did it? Of course not. Torako loosened up specifically to avoid that. She didn't need to make herself be serious all the time. "... Oh, and I'll help out again, too!"

When Liu approached, she gave him a rather stern glare, a brief break from her previously-cheerful demeanor. And when he questioned her eating habits...

"... I eat what I want!"

Back to guzzling down soup.
