I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Okay, um...

Teeend to have an issue with mind reading in RP's unless I'm really trusting of the person using it. The telekinesis isn't limited in a way that indicates he couldn't solve any eventual fights by flinging the enemy/monsters around. Invisible psychic constructs are out, for sure.

... For the Teddy Bear thing if you say they're using the bears as like, conduits for spellcasting, totally go with that.

Teddy Bear powers is a bit too goofy, but using teddy bears to cast spells is just the right amount of goofy.

@Lucius Cypher: Well, youkai are actually all about either being antisocial or blending in.

But the thing is, magic is sort of... the Masquerade's not as strong in this setting as it is in some others, but it's still there.

... Also since it's urban fantasy I kind of never intended for the standard staple fantasy races to even exist in it. ^^;

@Absolis: Hmm... just going off of what we don't have, water, fire, air... traditional elemental stuff is open surprisingly.

Hmmm.

Well, I mean, to be honest I wasn't sure how I was doing oni in this. This setting doesn't exactly have a lot of "lore".

Though there could easily be big monstrous oni, I also was considering more human-like ones.
