Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I think you know who the Assassin is, too, though.
I think our registrations are unlimited.

Also might be doing a Caster... or an Assassin I am weighing my options now.
@cloudystar: Everyone's back at base. Also, the thing in ice is no longer a suit of armor, it's a little demon girl.
Eyes on the Nem twins, Fanilly's gaze drifted low. While Fanilly and Efienne were not twins, the pair put her in mind of her younger sister. She hadn't seen the girl in several months, now. Supposedly, her family was coming to visit in the coming months, but the blonde girl couldn't deny she missed her sibling. She was eight, in a few months she would be nine. Her birthday would be much sooner then Fanilly's, to say the least. Fanilly had only turned sixteen this year. Fanilly hoped that she wouldn't be busying when it came, but... well, if she had duties to fulfill, she could not simply abandon them, even for her little sister. However, if Efienne was in danger... she wouldn't stop for anything to keep her safe.

As she gazed at the Nem assassin and her sister, the Captain of the Iron Roses found herself sympathizing. She took a deep breath. In the end... even they were victims, weren't they? So they deserved at least some small comfort.

"... I'm sure that you'll be treated with lenience," she said, finally, in an effort to reassure the twin Nem, "Even if you made an attempt on the Princess's life, you also assisted us in destroying the conspiracy against her."

She gave them a weak smile. "I'm certain that whatever punishment is leveled against you will be lessened because of that."

The Nem sisters were silent for a few moments, and then Kyphi returned to hugging Tilli, whispering words of reassurance in a language that Fanilly didn't recognize. She guessed it was probably the Nem language.

To be truthful, didn't know. But she could hope, at least. The short girl took another deep breath. Above, Sir Garret was injured... had she failed him? The memory of the man who had died during their previous mission came rushing back to her. Such a thing could have happened again. It was only luck that it hadn't. But she couldn't let such feelings show. She had to stay strong, for now.

They would learn what they could from the remaining conspirator.

"Let's go, Iron Roses," Fanilly said, turning towards the others, "We need to get the wounded back, and the prisoner."

As they ascended, Fanilly was rather stunned to learn that the second Sult was, indeed, the previously-believed-to-be-male Nero. For a few moments that snapped her entirely out of her concerns, leaving the short blonde in stunned silence.

However, there were matters to be attended to.

The trek back to Candaeln was hardly a long one. As Fanilly returned, she dispatched one of the Servants, a courier, to immediately head to the castle and notify the guards of what had happened. The prisoner, in this case, was to remain in the hands of the Iron Roses. For now, at the very least. For their safety as much as the safety of others, the Nem twins were also to remain in custody until more could be done about them. There was quite a bit to be done, but Fanilly's limbs felt heavy. She needed rest, after all this commotion. And a bath. She very much wanted a bath.

But, she couldn't do such things yet. Taking off her helmet and placing it aside, Fanilly waited in Candaeln's meeting hall.

To speak with those who had been the source of all this commotion, and to explain what had happened.
Same here. Yuki's in for an interesting time.
  • Name: Nishimura Yukihiro
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: "Th-this isn't what I had in mind a-at all!" Yuki has light pink hair, pink eyes, and light skin. She's on the short end of average for a Japanese girl, perhaps even slightly below. Her magical girl outfit is black and pink with white frills. Yuki's casual wear is currently her old male clothes, as she is too nervous to buy girl's clothing and she hasn't gotten a female school uniform yet. (Someone should help with the clothes thing, really. <.< >.>)
  • Personality: Yuki has always wanted to be a hero. To be someone who can protect the innocent and help others. And, even now, she still holds that desire firmly in her heart. Beyond this, she is something of a straightman. She becomes exasperated easily, questions things, and is quite easily flustered. In fact, she is very easily flustered or embarrassed, given certain... things about her situation. Still, even with what has happened, Yuki strives to be a good heroine, and possesses a wealth of determination and fire in her heart(hence her title). She is a bit temperamental, however, especially given her situation. Regardless, Yuki won't stand for the harm of innocents or attacks on allies, quite simply because that is not what a true hero does. A true hero, in Yuki's mind, will always fight even when things look grim, will always step up and keep going, will always intervene to save the life of an innocent. To a true hero, in Yuki's mind, if the option is between kill one to save a thousand or let a thousand die to save one, they thrust both options aside and find a third option that saves everyone instead.
  • Hero Name: Magical Girl Inferno Heart Yuki
  • Abilities: Using the gem on her necklace, Yuki can clad herself in the form of a magical girl. In this form, her speed and strength are enormously enhanced, allowing her to even scale a building by running if she builds up enough momentum, and damage thick armor with her punches and kicks. She is also vastly more durable, able to resist things that could seriously injure a human and recover from intense damage. With the assistance of her fairy, Lulilu... li... Luli... Lu... Ruru, she can heal her own injuries as well as others, provided they're not very serious(really it's just her fairy doing it). Yuki also possesses special attacks as a magical girl.
    • Lovely Heart Punch!: Yuki's fist becomes engulfed in pink flames, and she hits her target very hard, resulting in a small, pink, fiery explosion.
    • Lovely Heart Kick!: Basically the same as above, but a kick. Shocking.
    • Heart Bomber!!: Yuki punches the air numerous times, firing a stream of heart-shaped exploding projectiles at the target, bombarding them with exploding hearts.
    • Heart Missile!!: Yuki winds up and punches as hard as she can, even though there's literally no way this could possibly hit. Except it fires a missile of heart-shaped magical energy that explodes on impact. That's a lot more likely to hit then the punch is, though combining a successful punch with Heart Missile!! would hurt.
    • Giga HeartBreaker!!!: Yuki's most powerful attack(so far) and her finisher, Yuki's entire right arm is engulfed in pink fire. A heart-shaped force-field forms on her fist, and she rockets towards her target. Any regular monster is likely going to be exploded from the impact, and stronger ones will at least be injured. This attack can also power up from sheer determination.
She also has a very powerful ahoge.
  • Skills: Yuki is actually an okay cook, especially when it comes to ramen.
  • Brief Backstory: Nishimura Yukihiro was a pretty ordinary teenaged boy. Sure, he had dreams of being a hero, but nothing ever seemed to come his way. No superpowered suits, no magical transforming belts, no scientists revealing he's the descendant of some kind of ancient hero... nope, nothing. At least, until one night... a mysterious female voice offered him the power to protect people! She told him he had potential! What kind of self-respecting dreamer wouldn't say yes?! Only, well... there were some details that were left out of the agreement. For starters, Yukihiro didn't expect to be transformed into a girl. And it's not like it only lasted for while she was fighting, either. No, this transformation was permanent. Ruru helpfully explained that it says, in her rulebook, "MAGICAL GIRLS CAN ONLY BE GIRLS!", a rule she was instructed to take very seriously as a fairy companion. Since then, Yuki has struggled with trying to wear her old male uniform at school(the new one can't be too much longer, but it's so embarrassing to think about wearing!) and the fact that her mother is much less distressed about the situation then she thought she'd be... and that some of her friends are a little less then bothered too. Especially the magical girl fangirl. Still, even in this situation, a hero is a hero, and Yuki won't let herself forget that! Which is probably why she joined the Omamori Foundation, really.
Okay uh...

There really needs to be more people who have been in the order at least a year or more.

  • Name: Althienna Ly Van Del Vanten
  • Age: 23
  • Appearance: "Oh, such a surprise seeing you here..."
  • Personality: At first glance, Althienna appears to be a polite and sweet girl with a friendly disposition. This isn't exactly a lie, she is really quite friendly towards others and endeavors for politeness at all times. However, alongside this demeanor is a magus of brutal and terrifying efficiency. Just as she is sweet and approachable to friends, Althienna is merciless towards enemies. Her demeanor is one of pleasant mocking even when she is about to kill an enemy. Althienna is also difficult to anger, but when truly angry can be an absolute terror in a fight, with a single-minded desire to absolutely destroy her enemies. Althienna can be somewhat easily flustered, which is surprising given her very, very long list of not-exactly-hidden-at-all perversions.
  • Abilities: Althienna's affinity as a magus is air. She is also a star magus of the Van Del Vanten family, possessing a high degree of magic circuits of quite excellent quality. As a result, her capabilities as a combatant are high, though she is rather useless when forced into a physical confrontation. She possesses a fair number of different spells, what many would expect from an accomplished magus, such as defensive bounded fields and the like, as well as many basics such as reinforcement. Some notable spells include:
    • Cannon Air: A spell refined throughout the Van Del Vanten's family, Cannon Air is a high-power spell requiring several actions in order to properly cast. However, due to her high degree of skill, she is capable of rapidly performing these actions in order to more quickly cast the spell. In terms of power, an unprotected human is likely to be completely torn apart by the sudden high-pressure blast of wind, rendered an unrecognizable bloody mess. A modification of the spell can produce a much more concentrated blast that is capable of punching a hole through mundane barriers.
    • Wind Razor: A quicker spell that fires a hail of razor-sharp, visible waves of wind. Any magus can relatively easily counter the spell, but more inept targets will be forced to dodge or die.
    • Bounded Fields: Althienna has knowledge of a fair number of bounded fields, which she can use to force undesirables out of a location, or conceal it from view. One in particular utilizes wind-based attacks to assault invaders, but takes a long time to be constructed.
    • Mystic Code-Endless Glutton: Althienna's suitcase is capable of taking in any single amount of a substance and engulfing it entirely, as well as being used for simple storage. It has a maximum capacity of one ton. Althienna can also entirely hide herself in it, though this rarely seems necessary.
  • History: Born into the affluent Van Del Vanten family, Althienna was brought up with a great deal of wealth and education in magecraft. She quickly became known as an excellent student and highly efficient magus, and naturally there was no real question of her obtaining rank in the Clock Tower. Indeed, she eventually came to work directly under El-Melloi II. As a result, her presence in this new venture was requested, in order to operate as a Master for one of the Servants.
  • Other: N/A
I'm waiting on a Master for Saber.

Althienna... not sure who I want to pair her with.
